I’ve been passing by this place for years wanting to stop in. I like taking different routes home and came across this by accident. It’s kind of set in the woods in the middle of nowhere. You’re driving by some trees and are like WTF is an open sign doing back there. Pulling into the parking lot it’s very dark. There is a sign, but it’s sometimes not even lit. Walking in you’re greeted by the sweetest girl. She seems so nice. She always has a huge smile. There’s no seating here. It’s take out only. That doesn’t stop me from making this one of the stops to eat when my Mom and her Husband visits here from Hawaii next year. Being that she’s only here for a few days I have to be choosy about where I take them for lunch and dinner. This place makes the list! Everything I’ve had here is fantastic and the prices are great. The Country Rigatoni is fantastic. It has a lighter sauce. not as much sauce as you sometimes get elsewhere. It comes with salami and fried green peppers. They were nice and tender. Portion was big for the price. I also tried a cheese steak with broccoli rabe on top. One of the better cheese steaks I’ve had in this area. There was a lot of cheese on it. The broccoli rabe(which I’ve also tried separate) is very good. Cooked perfect. Not bitter like some places. Pepperoni Rolls and Hot Dog rolls are great too and cheap.

Delicious food, you will not be disappointed. Everything is great — you can’t go wrong! Eggplant parm and vodka penne are 2 of my favorites!

So delicious only thing that could get it five stars if they delivered locally and if they were open later! Food is really great and a wide variety!

Wow. I was on a road trip and was lucky to find Phil’s in what I thought might be the middle of nowhere. Friendly service(«This is his first time… we’ll be gentle.») and the best sausage peppers and potato(who knew?) sandwich I have ever had. Prices are ridiculously low. I wish I had time to try more. Lucky find!

I’ve been hittin’ Phil’s for decades. It’s one of the best places around that you can scrounge for change in your car, and get a ton of food — delicious food. My favs are the chicken and chips, chicken parm, and the vodka rig. I also like the meatball subs, and cheesesteak. I have friends who swear by the chicken florentine — I haven’t tried that myself… but, they get it almost every time we order from Phil’s. Steer clear of the chicken marsala. They just need a better marsala recipe, I think. The chicken is tender, the pasta is cooked well… and the portion is, of course, enormous. But, the sauce is watery. Sorry Phil, its true! The rest of the menu is consistently delish! Stop at Phil’s for tasty italian goodies, that fill your tummy without emptying your wallet!

My family used to get pizza from here every Friday evening(hey, friday was pizza night!). They were always willing to accommodate my mother and her odd orders. She liked to get«creative» and request toppings that wouldn’t normally be toppings but that’s a whole other story. Their pizza was always awesome and the chicken rolls were great to grab and go. This place has been there for a very long time, tucked on 526 away from downtown Allentown. if you manage to go out that way and try it, you won’t be disappointed.

What can you say about Phil’s? An Allentown take out tradition and for good reason. The eggplant parm dinner is the best deal around. The chicken vodka is crazy good. And the pepper and egg always takes me back to my childhood. This family owned gem always brings a smile to whoever is lucky enough to be around when the take out comes home. Free bottle of soda with every pie.

Fantastic subs worth a weekly visit — the meatball parm is to die for. The pizza is mediocre & the fries can be soggy, but ooh those subs…

Great Take-out! Closes too early and not open on Sunday or this would be 5 stars! Can’t miss!

Very good take out. The pizza is hands down the best I’ve ever eaten(yes, better than NYC pizza). Large pizzas come with free 2 liter soda. Don’t even get me started on the chicken wraps– omg! So addicted.

Quality italian take-out and mini-market. Insanely good! I think they close at 7 pm and aren’t open on Sundays, but this place is sweet. You don’t know what you’re missing if you haven’t tried it. It’s a ~10 minute drive from Allentown. I recommend the Fried flounder sandwich(amazing bread and probably one of my favorite all-time sandwiches), mussels marinara, and the pizza.
