I’ve been coming to this restaurant since 2000 and they are consistent and good value. Same owners since they opened, menu has been updated by basically the same since. Good service for lunch and dinner. Restaurant feels like PF Changs and food is of equal or higher caliber.

Ordered take out from here for the first time. Pork Fried Rice– Full of veggies. Tasted average. not to bad Beef Teriyaki– Hubby loved it. Was very tender and had great taste. Sweet&Sour Chicken– There was Lots of breading. All the Veggies were on top so all of our chicken was soggy :( The sweet and sour sauce was like thick jelly and hardened… U could tip it upside down and it wouldn’t move. No joke! Egg Rolls– Smaller than usual and one had lots of hard chewy fat that I had to spit out :/ Will be back for the beef! & maybe some rice

LIN, YOUARESOMUCHBETTERTHANTHIS! WHATHAPPENED? I recently visited this restaurant with my husband an daughter and while the service was still very nice, the quality of the meal was just not acceptable. We started with a platter that consisted of proteins, spring rolls and rangoon. The wings were a bit heavily breaded for my taste, the other proteins a bit tough,(especially the rib) and overall, it just lacked excitement. My daughter ordered her favorite Lo Mein noodles which she enjoyed and my husband was pleased with his Schezwan Chicken. I ordered a simple beef with vegetables dish so there should have been no mistakes. When my dish arrives, I notice that it is more of a lunch portion that is swimming in sauce. When it comes to vegetable based dishes, I prefer a generous two to one ratio of vegetables to protein and I want to see a quality mix, not baby corn and bamboo shoots as filler. I remove the corn. Since the food was so soggy, I decided to try a bit of the rice in order to balance things out. Here is the problem: I don’t care for plain white rice and if the dish is well prepared and well balanced, I don’t need it. This time, I had to at least try it in order to absorb some of the sauce. This particular rice was everything I hate about white rice. It was very dense, starch, dry and devoid of any flavor what so ever. At home, I eat brown rice exclusively but I don’t care for the restaurant version so I never order it in restaurants. However, it may be an option if you are interested. Just ask. I could get a better meal at an Asian market food court so what happened? This experience was so bad for me that I would normally give it one star but because the service was«on point», I will give them two stars. Three stars for this meal would be out of the question as it was simply NOT okay.

Love this restaurant! The food is fresh and flavorful without the grease. Always great specials, we love the Asparagus Chicken! Service is impeccable. The restaurant has a lovely peaceful ambiance with water trickling in the background. Owners are super friendly and oversee a great dining experience! A cut above your typical Chinese cuisine!

My first time here was an innocent eighth grade date and my most recent time was less than a week ago. It appealed to my simpler tastes with a yummy vegetable fried rice. Now, this restaurant can still keep up with my tastes with their one of a kind sesame tofu(I STRONGLY recommend this one!!). Extremely consistently good food for all ages. Whether you’re dressing up to go here, or picking it up to enjoy in your pjs at home, this is some damn good Chinese food.

Food is okay, customer service sucks! Don’t ask what a meal comes with or what’s in something they’ll look at you in a ugly way before even saying something. I usally go with my co-workers. Decided to do take-out one day… I did not mind paying for what I ordered. Needless to say I felt like a idot for spending my $ 20.00 bucks there for one entrée of Mongolian beef with a side order of wonton soup. Chin’s Chin’s is way better service, food is great also. I don’t think I will be coming back to Lin’s and I’m sure they will not care. Shame because it’s a nice resturant with bad and consistently bad service. Good Luck

Best Chinese food in Alpharetta by far. We have been coming here for 12 years now and have never been disappointed. The Hot and Sour soup is the best I’ve ever had.

The food was very good and had a lot of flavor. The general tso’s chicken was good, but the sauce was a bit too sweet. It came with a healthy portion of broccoli. We also ordered delicious beef and pork entrees. We were dissappointed that customers cannot choose their lunch soup. The soup of the day was hot and sour. I usually order egg drop soup and I didn’t like the hot and sour soup. They could improve the lunch menu by giving customers a choice of soups for lunch.

Hands-down best Chinese food in Alpharetta! They use quality ingredients the atmosphere is very nice and the service is outstanding. We have been back on multiple occasions and I’ve always found the owners to be welcoming and very hospitable. We highly recommend going there if you want a good meal.

Food is decent, wait staff is unfriendly. I don’t mind the unfriendliness as long as it doesn’t turn rude(which it has on occasion before). I still come here from time to time, again, the food is decent… atmosphere is nice too!

Great place for relaxing chinese food! The hot sour soup is the best I had. Me and my friend both had sesame chicken and Mongolian beef. Both dishes served with steamed rice and excellent. We never had a bad meal here. The staffs were attentive. The restaurant is nicely decorated for Christmas and extremely clean! I will bring all my friends and relatives here.

Service is so bad I’ll NEVER go back. If the food was amazing I probably would put up with the rude people who run this place but it’s NOT that great. They know there’s nothing else nearby so they don’t care if they have nasty, rude, mean attitudes. Very unappreciative. Wonder what changes first? The restaurant that occupies this space or the attitudes of the people behind the counter?

I’m shocked to see that this place has only three stars. I’ve been coming to Lin’s for almost 10 years. The service has never been bad; in fact, the service is always great, whether I come during the weekday lunch rush or if I visit later in the evening. I recommend ordering the cashew shrimp or shrimp with lobster sauce… those are generally what I order, but you really can’t go wrong with any entrée.

Although the food is a B+, the service is an F. After spending $ 70 for three people, The owner wanted to charge me for another Coke after we had paid for a cherry Coke and was told there were no refills. Since they did refills on regular Coke I assumed it was free for a plain Coke refill. After discussing this with the owner and getting nowhere, by the way he didn’t even want to come to the table, I decided just to pay for it and leave. As I was going to pay, the owner told his wife to take a picture of me I guess as a critic of their restaurant. When I objected about her taking a picture, she said it was her restaurant and she could do anything she wanted. The mail owner told us that God would punish us for this and proceeded to follow us outside as we left. This husband-and-wife team could not have been any more apathetic about their customers. Their condescending attitude was even picked up by my teenager. Perhaps that’s the reason there was only one other family in the restaurant on Father’s Day at 7PM. Before you eat here, check out how many of these reviews reference the owners attitude problems. People like this don’t deserve your business and they won’t get anymore of mine!

I never wrote poor reviews but after giving this place multiple tries will never go back. Worst service ever, so ride and act like you should feel privileged to be eating there. My husband and I used to go here all the time, one of our favorite places for eat in or take out. All of a sudden over the last year the service and attitude has been horrible. Not sure if ownership or management changed. One example was we had waited for almost 30 minutes for our order to be taken. We got up and asked the host up front if we could get someone to take our order. No apology, he just waved someone over. Again, no apology from waiter. Honestly if there had been a tiny acknowledgement, explanation or apology for the wait would have been fine. It was like we were bothering them to have to help us. This is not some exclusive, tough to get a table NYC type restaurant– like they think they are so good they can treat their customers like crap and we will keep coming back. Again-never take time to write reviews but the food is decent but not worth giving someone business who bites the hand that feeds them. At least four times this year have had worst customer service ever. They are very convenient to our house and used to like the food but will drive 20 minutes out of my way for Chinese food not to give them my business. The food is nowhere near worth them treating customers like crap and sloopoow service.

Not sure where all the great reviews are coming from on this restaurant… and…they have signs that say«best of…» REALLY??? I found almost everything about this place to be, well, bad. Seating…finally someone comes up, picks up two menus(wifey and I are having lunch) and motions for us to follow… no words… he drops the menus on a table and walks off… I guess we sit here? Service…takes a bit and finally the same guy comes back… ready to order? Well… how about some water? Any recommendations… he is very quiet. Finally, we do order, he leaves. About 10 minutes later, comes back and«drops food» off… again without speaking. Hmmm… and…yes, he speaks English… the few words we exchanged verified that. Food…wifey liked hers ok… mine…well…let’s just say the black pepper chicken fairly lacked black pepper… or chicken flavor… and…oh yes, I asked if I could substitute Lo Mein noodles for the Fried Rice… answer«no»(and he walked off)…on the menu it said you could substitute(with a charge). Hmmm…easy one here… NEVERAGAIN!

Thunderstorms had blasted north Alpharetta before a fund raising 5K race for Hopewell Middle School. After surviving the 5K I was starved. The family opted for Linn’s «to go» as it was so close by and always so tasty. After a shower and while watching the Braves end their historic 8 game losing streak, we partook of some outstanding Chinese cuisine. I had the Mongolian Beef — absolutely fantastic. Tender strips of beef stir-fried with green onions and crisp rice-noodles. Sharing it with family we had some«first timers» try it and they delighted with a new dish they loved. Linn’s fried rice is less oily than most and has the traditional fried rice ingredients. Their crab Rangoon were crisp and had a great filling with a little zip to it with tangy sweet and sour dipping sauce. Sharing entrees allowed me to try the chicken and vegetable dish which was full of tender chicken and broccoli that was cooked just right. The tofu and vegetable was equally delicious though the tofu could have been firmer and crisper to suit my taste, a little«pasty» inside. Linn’s is Chinese cuisine done right. :-)

We had a wonderful experience at this location. The food came out quickly and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the hot and sour soup and my kung poa entrée. I ordered it extra spicy and they came through in that department. The jasmine tea was pretty good to. The service was pretty good and the owner stopped by the table twice to make sure everything was on point. My only complaints was that it was a little bit oily and the fried rice was somewhat bland in comparison to the flavors of everything else. I will definitely come back to this restaurant.

Growing up I loved Chinese food. To be honest though, that love has kind of cooled over the years. Nowadays, I am much more likely to be found in a Thai or Korean restaurant than a Chinese joint, BUT when I am in the mood for good Chinese food, Lin’s is the only place I think of out here in the burbs. While not as «authentic» as the Chinese restaurants on Buford Highway, saying Lin’s is «Americanized» isn’t quite fair either. The dishes are always well prepared and fantastic. The vegetarian options are very good, with Sesame Tofu being a definite recommendation from this Unilocaler. The interior of Lin’s is intimate and inviting. The décor, water feature, and lighting will let you forget that your car is parked outside in a Kroger lot and has probably had a cart roll into it. I get a lot of take out from here as well, and it is always up quick and correctly. So I guess in the end I agree with the most interesting man in the world who also says…“I don’t always eat Chinese food, but when I do, I eat the Sesame Tofu at Lin’s”
