Their Mongolian beef is excellent. I order it with vegetables. Highly recommend.

We ate here a couple years ago. It was great good food good service. Today we went back expecting the same experience. We were wrong. My family and I ended up leaving before we could order food because our waitress was so rude. I talked to the manager she was sorry and embarrassed. Hopefully for the restaurants sake that waitress was fired. I’ve never been through anything like this

Ordered from here recently as I have for about 10 years now. I was disappointed with my food delivery order. The bar b q pork buns were not the same, they tasted like rubber. The mongolian beef did not taste the same. When I called the restaurant to tell them about it they did not even apologize or offer to do something on a future order. WOW, this certainly was not the service I was used to getting. They have forced me to look for a new place. Something HAS happened.

First off, your eyes are going to need to adjust as you walk into the restaurant, they had blinds up so it made everything very dim. We were meeting a party for lunch and half had already arrived and we were quickly seated. Drink orders were placed, yet the waiter could not remember who placed them(there were 8 of us during a lunch that had 3 different servers and about 20 – 30 ppl) got the Hot & Sour soup which was tasty, but had a lot of cabbage Lettuce wraps, were by far the tastiest, but don’t drop onto your jeans!!! General Chow(?) chicken was served with a side of brown rice(small amt) chicken itself was moderately breaded, but the sauce while tasty was too much. Covered too much of the plate and my palate. Overall 3⁄5 Food 4⁄5 Service 3⁄5 Cost 3⁄5

Dined in while on business. The food is decent just more bland than I liked. Had the egg drop soup which didn’t have much flavor but a nice selection of shrimp chicken and veggies. For my main dish I ordered the Jade scallops with fried rice. The rice was very tasty. The scallops(which were supposedly marinated) didn’t have much of a flavor at all. The veggies that came with(broccoli snap peas and carrots) were very fresh. All in all an okay meal but nothing flavor-tastic.

OUCH! We’ve had some bad food over the years, but… Xian is BYFARTHEVERYWORSTCHINESEFOODWE’VEEVERHAD. We did takeout. The first thing we noticed when we got the food home was that the spring rolls were about ½ — 2⁄3 the size of «standard» sized spring rolls. They were about 2−½ inches long, and an inch in diameter. What a ripoff for $ 5.00. The skins were chewy, the filling was bland, and they were moderately warm nearly cold. The pan fried dumplings: TINY. and… the normal standard for Chinese restaurants is 6 dumplings per order. At Xian, you get only 4 dumplings, and oh, did I forget to say«THEYWERETINY!» The dumpling filling was bland, and the«dumpling sauce» was a little plastic container of plain soy sauce. Why bother? Both the Shrimp with Broccoli and the Beef with Broccoli were down right DISGUSTING! The beef was chewy. The broccoli tasted like it had been boiled. The strangest part is that the broccoli was relatively hot, and the chewy beef was cold — and they were both in the same dish. I think they boiled some broccoli and then tossed in some leftover previously cooked beef and threw it all into a takeout container. None of it had flavor, except a couple of the beef pieces tasted like they might have been rotten. and the whole thing was covered in a slimy pasty gunk. The shrimp also tasted boiled and bland. The«fried rice» wasn’t fried at all. It was white rice mixed with soy sauce for coloring and some boiled chicken pieces. Don’t go to XIAN. It’s just gross.

Pretty delicious Beef Fried Rice. Server was quick and attentive and my food came out quickly. This place would definatly get another star from me except that I was sitting at the bar and one of the managers kept walking by me and spitting in the sink. Pretty nasty to see when i am trying to eat. This is a restaurant not baseball park.

The food was decent. I ordered the Sesame chicken with white rice. I liked how they didn’t bath it in the sauce in my take out box. It was a delivery order just the other day. The bad? They charged me $ 1,818.06 resulting in my card being blocked/canceled and me waiting for another one in the mail! It will be a long time before I forget this happened and it will take just that for me to try them again.

My family and used to LOVE this place and it was considered quite a treat, especially since their Mongolian Beef was the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, something has happened to this restaurant and their health code scores have just fallen to an unacceptable level. It really is a shame because the staff was so friendly, the restaurant itself was gorgeous and that Mongolian Beef… *sigh* We’ll miss you Xian!

This is the best and yet most expensive Chinese restaurant in town. I have been there several times. A lunch costs me $ 15, after tips. Foods are good! Really, the best Chinese food in town, overall. Well, you want to impress your friends, or your business partners, this is ‘the’ place if you pick Asian: Chinese, Japanese. Environment is dim lighted. Music is a little bit too loud. Not classical music, as I remember. Disks and silverware are clean. Have a look –n– feel of high class Chinese restaurant, like Bob Chinn’s.

Had a business dinner here while in Alpharetta this week. Xian is a good Chinese Bistro, along the lines of a PF Chang’s. I had the Spicy Orange Peel Crispy Lamb, a fancy named Orange Lamb. The lamb was almost crispy and had a good orange flavor, with the requisite slow burn of an «Orange» dish in a Chinese restaurant. Had the brown rice with this, an usual version of brown rice, nothing to rave about. All in all, a good meal… Service was a bit spotty. One of our party ordered the fried rice with his meal, but was served another person’s steamed rice. We had to fight to get the waiter’s attention to correct this oversight/error.

I ordered the KUNGPAOCHICKEN and the MANGO Chicken to go. Service was good my sesrver was really nice. He sat me down at the bar and gave me some complementary water :). And was corteous to answer my questions. However food wise i think is just ok. Maybe for the area is spectacular. But I have had much better Chineese. Do not get me wrong. If I am in the area I would come again but i live in Sandy Springs and I have a better selection of chineese restaurants so would not make the trip up here. Overall still a solild 3*(I am a very strict food critic :) so 3 * is good for my standard :))

We decided to try this place out at the restaurant instead of just the delivery. It’s a very nice restaurant with great décor, very polite and friendly servers and the food was equally amazing. We have been highly impressed by Xian China Bistro on all fronts. We had the pine nut chicken with flash-fried and sugared spinach. I can guarantee you that it will be the best spinach you’ve ever eaten. It tastes like candy and melts in your mouth. As we were leaving, the manager came over and talked to us for quite a while. She was very kind and grateful for our business.

I went there on a Monday night. The place only had a few patrons inside. I ordered the much talked about Spicy Orange Peel Lamb dish. It was very good, although I did have a few tough pieces of lamb that took some extra chewing. Also ordered the Mango Chicken for my son. He liked it and even ate the carrots and peas. It’s a spicy dish, and the waiter made it not spicy for him. The restaurant is nicely decorated. I liked the mural by the kitchen and the little red lights hanging from the ceiling over the tables. Our service was excellent and the waiter gave me extra rice in my left overs to take home. Nice touch.

I had the Spicy Orange Peel Cripsy Lamb with brown rice! It was great! If you like spicy dishes and lamb I suggest that dish. The egg drop soup is good also!

I’ve lived in Alpharetta for years and have probably tried every Chinese delivery in the area. This one is the absolute best and there is not even a close second. You will pay more for the food here compared to other Chinese delivery places, but it is well worth it. I will not order from any other Chinese delivery after eating the food from here.

My favorite Chinese restaurant by far. The décor is wonderful… large and spacious with a modern-ish style. It’s not very bright inside – I’d recommend this place more for a date type of vibe. I’ve been for dinner and the prices range from $ 10-$ 15 a person. For lunch, it’s a bit pricier than your average Chinese take-out but it’s worth it! My mongolian beef was about $ 8. LOVETHISPLACE!

I came here for lunch based on the other Unilocal reviews. As previously stated, the décor is very nice. I especially liked the wall of Chinese warriors painted on it. It is very dark in there and reminded me of the décor at PF Changs. As soon as I sat down, they gave me a huge plate of wontons. I ate some but put most of them in my Hot & Sour soup, which had a good flavor(though it wasn’t very spicy). I ordered the Sesame Chicken with fried rice. Sesame Chicken is a dish that can come out very poorly, especially if the pieces are mushy and covered in a tasteless sauce. Fortunately, the quality here was very good. Every piece had a crunchy and fresh-tasting exterior. I dipped each piece in a spicy sauce that I requested, which gave it a nice sweet and spicy mix. The only bad part of the meal was the egg roll, which was mushy and tasteless. I also liked that you bring your bill up to the cashier to pay. This helps when you are in a rush to get back to the office. Service was very good as well. I’m actually not a big fan of Chinese food in general, but I will visit again if a Chinese craving hits.
