On a business trip and decided to walk the 2.5 miles from the Marriott to the café and the food was Mega Excellent! I have the Masita Cerda and it did not disappoint. My new fav spanish food place in Alpharetta

I was especially impressed with this place! The interior is warm, inviting, and feels like you’ve traveled to another country. The food was excellent. I had a shrimp dish and my husband had a steak. The mojito was authentic with plenty of fresh lime. Our server was so professional and helpful with a lovely personality. The service was very efficient. Our server really made us feel special and gave us background on the restaurant. The owner or manager also stopped by which was nice. To top it all off the live gutarist on Saturday was so enjoyable. It was a perfectly romantic evening and we are so glad to have found this gem.

Called to ensure it closes at midnight as stated on Unilocal. They tell me they close at 11pm, it’s 10:20. And they tell me they’re closed currently and their sign is off. I ask so you closed 40 minutes early? And the guy on the phone says yeah, we did. Wth. Literally wanted to place a to go order while 5 minutes away from the restaurant. Never going to such an ill ran business. It’s horrible that this is the only Peruvian restaurant in the area opened relatively later than normal. I am utterly distraught after wanting some Peruvian food ALL week.

Ehhhh… not that impressive… more hype than substance to this place. The interior has an upscale tavern look but it’s very dark… so dark that we needed the glow of our smart phones to read the menus. Service was fair… staff reasonably friendly but a little slow. The young hostess seemed to spend a lot of energy being distracted by young male coworkers flirting and goofing. The food was okay but nothing more. A little overpriced for what you get. The ropa vieja was swimming in sauce and reminded me a lot of Brunswick Stew(not a good thing). I wouldn’t likely return; there are several better Cuban restaurants nearby.

Really enjoyed sitting on those relaxing benches in the patio area. We went for lunch and the weather was awesome today. Very friendly staff from the time I entered until the time I left. Nice atmosphere and our server was on point! We tried the Thursday special which was Basa with capers, rice and beans, and a salad. Loved it all. Why haven’t I ever tried this place before??? No worries, I’ll be back soon.

I came in craving a paella in a cold rainy evening. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated, but it is very dark and didn’t made me feel comfortable. I also noticed the menu was dark with small letters and hard to read in the altogether darkish’ environment. We stood way too long a the door waiting for someone to approach us. Finally since the dining area was very loud, we directed ourselves to the bar area and took over one of the tables at the more quiet bar area. The bartender noticed us immediately as we set down and approached with menus and water. I was happy with the service, it was attentive and fast, however I wasn’t comfortable with the overall atmosphere at this place. Their ceviche was ok and so was the salmon dish, but their paella was anything but paella. Not only it wasn’t tasty but it was also a pre cooked some kind of rice dish between risotto to… well dish with rice. It wasn’t seasoned well, it swam in red sauce, it was something that they warned and placed in a ceramic bowl and served. Unappealing and not tasty. There are many other much better options in the area I wouldn’t chose this place again.

Great food, atmosphere. service and ambiance. Would love to come back. we were a group of 3 and we tried the cevice, soup and bread for entres, then braised lamb, fish in saffron sauce and salmon dishes then wrapped the meal with Leche and mango ice cream dessert… our minds and stomachs were officially blown! Incredible live music just took the whole experience over the top.

Was pleasantly surprised by the Trio De Ceviche. This was the most impressive presentation I have seen and nicely spiced. The tapas menu is very extensive making it an excellent place for a group. The décor is very nice and the bar is inviting and well stocked.

Have enjoyed it every time. Love the 3 tier Peruvian appetizer sampler. Very impressive for taking out of town clients for a business lunch or dinner. Authentic flavors with great plate presentation. I wouldn’t say service is slow, it’s just not rushed. Come for a relaxed lunch. And enjoy.

Really good food — cuban/Peruvian fusion. Not the same as Mambos further down Windward; this is more upscale(and expensive). Nice bar with pretty good cocktail choices. If hungry, go down Windward to Mambos; if looking for a more refined meal, try this one.

I ordered a Arroz con Pollo the other day and it doesn’t have cuban or any latin flavor. For me it was like having Uncle Ben’s rice and some pieces of chicken cooked on a frying pan. I was expecting a great flavor from Cuban food. I have not tried any other plates at this location however this plate I would never order again.

The only reason that I’m giving a 4 and not 5 star is because I have yet to just dine in. Each visit has been with a party. Appetizers are really good for sharing, most entrees are large enough to share depending on your appetite. George is very helpful in suggesting set up and ordering fir large parties. I had a guava mojito that was very tasty and others in the party mentioned that the margaritas were also good. Waiter Robert was very attentive, organized and very personable and fun. I’ll go back soon just to dine in.

I couldn’t eat!!! Third experience for dinner and we’re done. Service: friendly but really slow. It took 15 min to bring a glass of wine, and 30 min to bring the entrée. Food: we decide to try 2 simple items — veggie paella — Corvina with Tostones(fish in cream milk with capers and sun dry tomatoes + Green plantain) Review: un eatable. we both try and leave the meals. Waiter try to apologize in many ways, even mentioned to talk to the cheff, who never show up. At the end damage was done. I couldn’t recommended this place for any reason. 3 times 3 disappoints Price: $$$ is pricy i recommend to check the menu prices before you start ordering

Having been exposed to Cuban cuisine for many years from NYC to S. FL, my expectations were high especially since Cuban restaurants are far and few between in Georgia. I was invited here on a Friday night date and found the atmosphere dark, quite and laid-back which works great if you want to have lots of conversation. Later on live music was provided. Fortunately we were seated by a window and i used the external lights to read the menu, at which point I realized this was a fusion restaurant. The cuisine was from different latin regions that I have tasted before. This let me know to switch gears of expectation from cuban to whatever works. Try the yuca fries they were great yummy. The my entrée was good, my friend’s better.

I have yet to dine in the restaurant, but I ordered ceviche to go today, and I was so impressed I had to leave a review. I ordered pretty close to when they opened, only to get ahead of the lunch rush. The staff was incredibly pleasant, and I had a nice chat with one of the servers.(Unfortunately I don’t remember his name) He definitely made me wanna come back and eat dinner. Apparently they have a pianist and violinist that play on certain nights, which I can see will make a nice date night :) As for the ceviche, I got an appetizer size with just fish, and you could tell that it was made fresh to order. So. Delicious. It had a side of what I assume partially popped corn kernels? I’m not sure, but it was a nice little snack. (Only thing I wish was that it came with tostada chips, I’m not sure if thats how its always served though)

We have been coming here for years and we have always had great fresh food made to order and attentive and professional service throughout the restaurant. They have a beautiful patio and live music and some of the best seafood I’m Alpharetta. Alexander at the bar will absolutely pamper you and ask him all about the food, he loves to talk about it and he’s very knowledgeable about it. The tapas menu is always changing and the ingredients are super fresh. Try the goat cheese salad, you won’t be disappointed! We will always return

Had a quiet dinner with my wife and really enjoy the low key ambience. Great place for a romantic dinner or affair. The ceviche is very fresh and prepared nicely. This is a foodie place through and through with some of the best creations I’ve tasted in quite a while. A must try.

I came with a co-worker; because I had a huge craving for paella, I also wanted some taste the empanadas and yuca frita, too bad that they had run out of both appetizers. For our appetizers we share a bowl of nacho with guacamole, it was very fresh, our server pestle the avocado in front of us into a big bowl, the nacho had a great taste when i deep it into the guacamole, the portion was very big. For our entrée each one order a Paella de Mariscos, the portion was so big that I’m sure we could share one of the paella for both of us. The paella had an abundance of seafood — calamari, shrimp, mussels, baby clams — over a bed of rice that was not overly soggy considering it was all slow-cooked in a tomato-based broth. For dessert I had the mango cheese cake but I was too full to finish it. The server was not bad. I think I’ll come back when i come back to Alpharetta, i hope to have a better luck with the yuca frita and empanada.
