This is the perfect place to eat at with an expense account or fancy date. I shared the Signature 54oz Ribeye with my coworker and it was excellent! The potato gratin was the best I’ve ever had. It’s expensive here and the whole place smells of cigar smoke … in case that bothers you.

Great steaks and sea bass! Their fired lobster tail is also amazing, asparagus, mushrooms, snail, everything I’ve tried there was good and I’ve been here a lot for work events. Love the service, it has more of gentleman’s club feel with cigars and atmosphere, and you can’t avoid smelling like cigars when you leave though.

Fantastic atmosphere and even better blue point oysters. 18oz bone in KC was phenomenal and the blue cheese melted on top was even better. Great evening and worth every penny.

Service and food are on par with expectations. The private room space is amongst the best in the northern Atlanta suburbs. Rock Salt rib-eye is a dinner standout, while he prime rib sandwich is a must for lunch.

We went here to celebrate my little brother getting married. The décor is very much like the traditional steakhouses. The service was amazing. I made reservation for 16 people. Upon arrival, I realized I had somehow miss counted, so we ended having 18 people instead. They had the table all set for our large group in the middle of the restaurant. With the additional people, the servers had to scramble to figure out where to seat all of us. They finally cleaned an entire back section for our entire group. It ended up working way better than our previous seating because we were secluded from the rest of the restaurant. Being The Asians that we were, this was probably the best for the other patrons. A couple of us tried the 54oz signature«rock salt» ribeye for $ 115. It was very tender and flavorful. The only thing I didn’t like are the edges. It was just too salty for my taste, so I carefully trimmed them off making sure to not cut too much meat off. The escargot in garlic butter was probably the best I’ve ever had! The sauce was so delicious. Our parents had the grilled salmon. They mentioned that it was too salty. Overall, the food was decent. I don’t know if I would go all the way to this place again. It’s just too far for me.

There’s no way this place would last in Atlanta, but since it’s the only«nice» steakhouse in Alpharetta I guess it stays busy. The service was horrific, our waiter was rude and more interested in watching the game in the bar area then he was waiting our table. Clearly they do not care who they hire to take care of their guest. Food was bland and forgettable. This place is a wannabe high end steakhouse that only succeeds because of their location.

This one of our favorite steakhouses around. We have been going here for years to enjoy the steaks, the sides, and cocktails. We especially enjoy the fried lobster appetizer, prime rib, bone in ribeye, and the lamb chops. We enjoy all of their sides and they can feed 2 – 3 adults. The bartenders are friendly and mix great drinks. I did read the comment about cigar smoke from the bar area in the dining room. I am one of the people who do enjoy my cigar after a good meal. I have eaten in the dining room numerous times and never smelled smoke.

Super fancy steak house with a cigar bar connected next door. I ordered the 22 oz Triple Cut Lamb Chops($ 40). But it didn’t look 22 oz. I was expecting lamb rib chops. rather I got two big bone-in loin chops. And it tasted just ok. My coworker’s 22oz bone-in prime rib definitely looked a lot bigger and tastier. I think this restaurant is fairly priced for this environment. I think I would have had a better experience if I ordered steak at a steakhouse. Overall, it was just an Ok for me.

It’s a traditional steakhouse with a cigar bar attached. I’m not sure if the other reviewers were not aware of this or not, but my husband and I went on a Sunday evening and didn’t smell cigar smoke at all. The food was delicious and priced for that environment; if you’ve dined at Shula’s, Ruth Chris, Morton’s or somewhere similar, you know the price point and won’t be shocked when you look at the menu. The drinks were stiff, and the wine delicious. The crab cake was to die for!

The restaurant was simply amazing! The food had the best most savory taste. one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. This restaurant is truly a five star world class and for the price you would truly expect it to cost more due to quality. I truly believe it is a great deal especially on Friday and Saturday nights when they have their pre-fix dinners for 4 courses. I was simply impressed! Will definitely go back!

The restaurant is beautiful, the service it implacable, though a bit too stressful and distanced. They definitely serve quality meats, and they also serve lunch at much cheaper prices than their dinner prices, so if you still want to enjoy a great experience and good meal, but don’t fancy high prices I’d recommend paying them visit during lunch hour. Their bar area is actually a cigar lounge and it disappointed me s little bit, since I like sitting to the bar and it was impossible for me here without being forced to second hand smoke as well as smell like a walking cigar later. You can’t smell the cigars from the restaurant area, so it shouldn’t stop you from eating here, just stay away from the bar. All in all this is a good place that takes itself very seriously(maybe too seriously, the servers could benefit from loosing s bit of the stiffness). After eating here steak for dinner we did come back another day to enjoy their great lunch hamburger.

I’m speechless!!! Food was amazing but the service was stellar! David, the bartender was very polite and attentive! Highly recommend the bar if you can tolerate the little bit of cigar smoke… we all know you use to never complain about smoking in establishments! I’m not a smoker but if I lived here I’d be a cigar bar regular! Thanks for the fantastic service and delicious bacon wrapped scallops with shrimp risotto!

Their weekend lineup can be a great value. The chefs Prix fix menu is wonderful 60% of the time. I don’t mind the other 40% as creativity involves some misfires. The service is impeccable, and the chairs are comfortable(some other«fancy» restaurants, take the hint!). Their bar is very consistent. A great find for the weekends.

Good Good Food. Service was good prompt professional, our server had that old world Italian flair,. $$$$/4 one of the most expensive meals we’ve had so far. Great steak. Had the 54 steak for 2 –very good and so much we took leftovers home, escargots-a little different than what I’m use to in puff pastry so it was good-ok, lump crab salad-yummy but not enough crab, side of asparagus-good, finished off with a table side display of the bananas foster. Love the show!!! WOULDDEFINITELY recommend and will DEFINITELY Come back(actually already did for lunch with the girls — still good overall but dinner has much better selection) Yum!!!

We had 20 guests seated in the porch — private dining room which was perfect. Loved the petite filet and warm spinach salad along with perfectly paired red wine and chocolate cake to die for! Another diner shared the amazing steak with béarnaise sauce and that melted in my mouth — it was very tender and well seasoned with amazing flavor. The service was Impeccable with drinks and water refreshed and plates cleared as if by magic. The atmosphere is upscale and classy and you can smell the cigars when you walk into the cigar smoking area. A definite winner and I want to return

Caveat, I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. I ate here today, 11÷11÷15(Happy Veterans Day!!) with a group of 8 co-workers for lunch. We had been for dinner before, down in the wine cellar, so that we thought we would try lunch. First things first, the service is pretty spot on. Drinks were topped off consistently, the server was attentive, and plates were removed from the table as soon as it was apparent you were finished eating(a little too soon in the name of the bread basket, as I was still munching on that when they took it away!) I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger Medium Rare which came with coleslaw and french fries. When the food arrived, I dressed the burger and cut it in half. Beautiful Medium Rare burger. A co-worker also ordered a burger, but Medium, and it came out more rare than mine, so caution to the well done folks out there. While the burger could have used a touch more seasoning, it was nice and juicy and satisfied my burger cravings. Unfortunately, the same love was not given to the cole slaw and french fries. The cole slaw was of the very fine variety, and was woefully under-seasoned and under-dressed. The french fries we the typical frozen store bought without the slightest hint of seasoning or salt every touching them. They reminded me of a worse version of Steak and Shakes Fries. This was disappointing as I am a big believer that the sides are as very much important as the main, especially from a restaurant of this purported magnitude. The rest of the table got salads, soups, and a shaved prime rib sandwich. The groups sentiment was the same as mine where the main dish was good, but the sides(Where applicable) where an after thought. Would I go back? Yes, but I would skip the slaw and fries, and stick with the fresh veggies. Final Thought: When a great dinner place like this sells out and offers sub-par lunch items, it cheapens the brand as a whole. While I admire the lunch price point they are able to achieve, in my opinion some significant, yet minimal improvements can be made while remaining at the established price point.

Business lunch. I had the shrimp scampi. It was good, but not the best I’ve had. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is a little more upscale than your average dine in restaurant. It would be nice to take someone for an intimate dinner on a second or third date. Not shabby and not too famcy.

I had my 25th birthday dinner here and it was absolutely AMAZING! I had about 20 guest attend and we were seated in the Mezzanine private dining room which was perfect. It was upstairs and overlooked the main dining room below on the right and the outside on the left. Let me just say the service was Impeccable! Our personal waiter was Blair and he was AWESOME! Very patient, funny, and attentive! He made sure that all of my guest were taken care of and answered all of our questions pertaining to the menu. The food was DELICIOUS! All of my guest loved their food from lamb, scallops, steaks, everything! I ordered the 16oz. ribeye and it was cooked perfectly, very tender and seasoned well. The sides are a nice portion and can be shared easily amongst 2 – 3 people. There is a large selection of wine and on Fridays and Saturdays they have a list from which you can get half off bottles of wine! Overall, I had an amazing 25th birthday and I appreciate Cabernet Steakhouse and Blair for making it extra special for me! I will definitely be returning. I only wish that it was no so far away.

My wife and I had a quiet dinner here to wrap up a busy week. We were able to make 7:30 p.m. reservations even at 6 p.m. on a Friday. Parking is mostly valet, but there appeared to be open spaces between the restaurant and the hotel which were self-parking. My vehicle wasn’t booted, at any rate. The interior of Cabernet is dark wood and low lighting. There appeared to be a separate glass-walled-off cigar bar /section as well. The wait staff is very attentive without being intrusive. They have an extensive wine selection(half-priced bottles on Friday night also, apparently). The menu is not vast, but the selections we tried were quite good. My wife liked her fish, and my filet mignon was one of the best I have had in the last year. We spit a vanilla crème brûlée for dessert. Pricing definitely makes this more of a ‘special occasion’ venue for us, but we’d consider going back.

Was pretty good. Service really friendly(almost too much). Nice atmosphere. Side prices are a bit too expensive. I took the combo with the tempura lobster, and well, it was not really delicate. The meat was well cooked. Not really impressed by the desserts.

Tonight was not a good night at Cabernet. To begin, we had reserved a certain table, which was confirmed but upon arrival we were guided to an alternate table; on its own not a big deal. I then was provided a water glass smeared with lipstick; simply unacceptable. The service was poor, despite a «team» approach inattentive is the most postive description. A dozen oysters were ordered and eight were delivered with an explanation that four were exceptionally large so we received less, who does that? The server was very unclear about the salads being alacarte and not a part of the meal price, perhaps we should have been more alert. One of our party requested his soup be delivered with the appetizers, the soup was delivered after the appetizers had been finished; a clear miss. Another of our party has their dinner served at the wrong temperature and had to be returned to the kitchen for additional cook time. We experienced exceptionally long gaps(45 minutes to an hour) between courses and we could not get the attention of our server(s). I literally had a coffee cup taken out of my hand. The explanation being that the new cup was more fresh, very odd. There were four of us, two couples, and we requested separate checks, but evidently splitting the cost of the appetizers was not an option so the full cost ended up in one bill. There were a couple of bright spots: the valet was top-notch, the server caring for the water glasses was on her game and overall the food was tasty. All that being said I am not certain we will be visiting Cabernet any time soon, if ever. Very, very disappointing for the price point, or any price point for that matter.

There’s a reason why I am the duke here, and will continue to be(if I remember to check-in). This is probably the best steak, scotch, and cigar lounge north of the Perimeter.(See my other reviews for other steak places OTP, this ranks up there in the Top 2.) The atmosphere is upscale and classy; a great place to take clients out. I usually sit in the closed off cigar lounge/bar, as it feels a little bit more laid back and open than the main floor, but doesn’t lose it’s class. If you don’t like smoke, don’t sit back here, but if you’re a cigar aficionado this is the place to be. They have a great scotch selection, from many of the different scottish isles. Laphroaig and Lagavulin are my favorites(ranging from $ 16−25/glass). To pair with your scotch, they have a decent list of cigars from shorts to Churchills. Food? Downright amazing. The appetizer sampler comes with some super fresh lobster, that is killer blackened. Oysters are always fresh, and the chicken kebabs are pretty flavorful. But the steak is really where Cabernet shines. Cabernet is one of the few places I can go and order a Chicago medium without the server looking at me weird. Not only that, the chefs really know how to do a proper Chicago — a perfect 1/8″ of seared/charred steak encasing a hot pink/red center. So much flavor, and super tender. I’ve also had a NY Strip Pittsburgh, and it was a perfect crust with a that nice warm rare center. I don’t know how they do the crust on a Chicago and Pittsburgh, but it has so much flavor. Expect to spend a dime here, but if you want a great Pittsburgh or Chicago steak, they do a killer job.

Cabernet was one of the nicest steakhouses that I’d been to in a long time. They also prepared one of the tastiest steaks I’d had in well over a year. I was surprised to find out about their«half off» Wine List offered on Fridays and Saturdays. It was pleasing to find that these bottles were being sold at or near retail price, rather than the substantial markup commonly found at restaurants. This enabled us to order a bottle of wine without doubling the cost of our bill. Awesome. The soup du jour the evening that we dined out was a creamy garlic soup, which was sublime — rich and salty, but not overly so. The mixed greens salad, topped with bleu cheese crumbles, dried cranberries, and what I believe to be beets infused with a sweet licorice flavor(?) was tasty as well. 10oz Prime N.Y. Strip, cooked medium-rare, topped with bleu cheese and served with garlic parley potato purée. Yes, indeed. Though I’ve been disappointed with over-seasoned(salt or pepper) steaks, or steaks that barely had any sear marks on them, Cabernet nailed it. Seasoned just right, cooked to juicy perfection… the ideal restaurant steak. The service was also impeccable. Ultimately, Cabernet was everything that one would expect from a high-end steakhouse, at a price perhaps a bit lower than one would expect(near the $ 100-mark for two diners enjoying their steak dinners with a bottle of wine). Very Satisfied.

One of the greatest steakhouses I have ever been to. Great food from the apps to the deserts. Incredible staff makes you feel at home. Can’t wait to get an opportunity to get back and go in again. Definitely try the ship cocktail, lobster tails, or the crab cakes for an appetizer! Best part of the meal for me however was the perfectly cooked steak. I finished off with flourless chocolate cake. Only downside is that the part of the restaurant we visited had an over bearing smell of smoke due to the cigar bar being close. If that’s your thing however, there’s a definite plus to be had.

How can you go wrong here(just don’t look at the right side of the menu and it will be great dining). And they allow cigars in the bar. The staff knows how to make you feel welcome and make you feel like you’re the only patron who matters. And the food — well, it’s pretty good. Cabernet is known for being the place for steak, but the seafood is great — try the Chilean sea bass. As far as the cigars go, I believe there are only certain nights when cigar smoking is welcome in the bar. And when it is welcome, you can bring your own. If there’s any downside to Cabernet, it is that parking can be a challenge on busy nights. But if you can afford Cabernet, you can afford valet parking.

We had a great waiter attend our experience on Friday night February 13th. Parking was a bit difficult as they primarily do valet and all the cars line up at the entrance of the restaurant making your entrance and exit a bit challenging. Once inside you are enchanted with a beautiful open space dining room with a second tier of tables towards the back. It is almost as though this tier is a stage to the remaining part of the dining area. We were seated in the center table where you could look out into the audience. It was very nice… The seafood was excellent. The wine, superb.
