The food is consistent with all Cracker Barrels, so they either all get the same pre-made food or they use the same recipes. I’m ok with their chicken and dumplings, but be forewarned. This one is very, very slow. I don’t know what is with them, but someone is always breaking dishes by accident and takeout is horrible. They are so slow!

Horrible service and the food was cold. Server never checked on us. Will not go back to this one. Just terrible.

I am a big fan of Cracker Barrel! Never been disappointed with either the food and their service. Today the place was quite full and while we waited one server(I think her name was Corina) came and asked if we were helped. She was not the server for our table but still took our order and passed it to the server for our table. Our server — Po Po — was very attentive and took excellent care of us. An excellent experience!

Well, it’s cracker barrel, so the breakfast is usually great, the lunch and dinner are usually ok, service is hit and miss, but it’s fairly consistent, and you know what to expect when you go there. I think that’s my longest sentence ever on a Unilocal review. I think that is relevant! Our service was great tonight. The tables were behind on being bussed, but the hostess took some initiative, and handled it herself. All of the dinner food was fair for what it is. Actually, what I consider cracker barrel food to be is mass produced chain type food that is cooked repetitively with an efficient process, that allows such a variety of food to be cooked quickly for a large number of guests. This is comfort food. We had many other choices in the city, but cracker barrel was an easy pick, and a safe bet. We got what we expected and we got what we paid for.

I would love to review the food and the service at the location, however I never made it to the table. A wait during busy times is expected however it is also expected that we would hear the host staff call our names. The two soft spoken people calling names could not be heard if you were standing more than 25 feet away. And with a room full of loud talkers waiting for a table it was very difficult to get any closer. I approached the host stand and advised that we couldn’t hear them and he said he would try to speak louder. That didn’t happen. Unfortunately, we left and went to another restaurant.

Food is decent for what it is. Neat stuff in store. But can be very hit or miss on service. Some days, like today, very slow and other days are relatives decent. Also, wash the dishes and silverware better. Seriously, eww. And, bread should come out immediately after ordering not well over 20 minutes later with the very late food that was delayed because of a screw up in the kitchen.

We had breakfast here one morning. Ordered two eggs over easy and a side of bacon, plus biscuits and sausage gravy. The eggs were cooked as I requested and the bacon was quite tasty. Not a fan of their«Sawmill gravy» which is supposed to be like a sausage gravy. It’s just not very«sausagey» — flavor-wise. They included two patties of sausage on my plate — which I did not order. The sausage patties were not very good. I also ordered a glass of V-8 juice, coffee, and water. I noted that the class containing the V-8 juice had a rather sizable chip in the glass with sharp edges. I pointed this out the the server — she apologized and took it away and replaced it with a fresh glass. Service was good. It was a chilly morning outside and they had a nice fire going in the fireplace when we walked in — nice touch!

The service was HORRENDOUS. We weren’t greeted or asked for drinks for 20 minutes after being seated. Once our order was taken it was another 45 minutes before HALF of our food arrived. The food arrived lukewarm and grits were already filmy, pancakes were hard and chewy, not the fluffy perfect pancakes I’m accustomed to from Cracker Barrel. Asked for the pancakes plain, no butter, and they came slathered in butter, and my sides of eggs and bacon nowhere in sight. The biscuits didn’t come until 30 minutes after the initial round of food, and I ended up ordering new pancakes because I was so dissatisfied. It’s annoying to only get bits and pieces of your meal coming out 30 minutes apart especially when half of it is cold. Something is wrong in the kitchen here, don’t think we’ll be returning.

I know it’s Cracker Barrel but man the service is SLOW! Trying to place a takeout order is Painful. Called and was placed on hold for 2:37. By that time I was already there and it took 10 mins in the nonbusy store to place an order. Very frustrating. Epitome of slow, poor service all the way around!

Each time we have visited this particular Cracker Barrel our service gets worse and worse. I grew up going to Cracker Barrels for a family dinner so we have continued to give this restaurant more chances. After our last visit we are done. The service is bad, the food is typically good– if they get your food right. Our last experience started off with being showed to a dirty table. The restaurant was not busy — actually quiet slow since we were there right around 3:30pm. I looked in our vicinity for a clean table to re-seat myself at since there was no one around to help. All the tables were dirty so I we waited — About 5 minutes later our table was finally semi-wiped down by our waitress after asking for her wipe it down. While it may not be her responsibility or fault that it was dirty she could have apologized — but she was in too much of a hurry, kept her eyes down and did not make eye contact or appear friendly in any manner. We ordered our drinks while she propped herself up against the table beside us(with her bottom on the table). She proceeded to help two other tables that came in after us — take their drink orders and then their orders and over five minutes later we received our drinks and were able to finally order our food. When our food arrived — I had ordered a sandwich(chicken salad sandwich platter) — I realized it was missing the lettuce, tomato, pickles and all that. I guess I had confused her because I had request that my bread be set to the side instead of all put together(I didn’t want my bread to get soggy). This resulted in me not getting the platter so much as 4 small plates that made it difficult to put my sandwich together. I waited for our waitress to walk by and looked up at her, slightly raised my hand, made eye contact, said, «excuse me,» in an effort to stop her so that I could ask for the lettuce, tomato and pickles. She saw me, hesitated momentarily and then kept walking. I was utterly baffled and felt very disrespected. I stepped away from the table and returned after my husband had requested the lettuce, tomato and pickles that should have come with my original order. At this point I was too afraid to eat anything she brought out because obviously she had some kind of problem with us. This of course was when I noticed that I didn’t receive the coleslaw that was suppose to come with the platter. Our waitress walked by our table finally asking how everything was, but she didn’t stop till my husband told her I had a question. Even though I knew the platter was suppose to come with coleslaw I simply asked her if the platter I had ordered was suppose to come with coleslaw too. She started at my food blankly. I told her I had ordered the chicken salad sandwich and I thought it was suppose to come with fries and coleslaw. She told me it was suppose to come with just a sampling of coleslaw — which is fine — but I never received that. She wasn’t eager to fix this either and didn’t apologize, but did finally bring out some coleslaw. Again I was afraid to touch it because of how she was treating us. In the end we paid $ 20 to be disrespected and treated poorly. I didn’t have high expectations but I did count on getting the food I ordered and paid for and just some basic decency from our waitress. It would have been okay if she was just slow or clumsy but the whole rushing by, ignoring the customer, doesn’t care about you, can’t make eye contact or even stop for two seconds to genuinely ask how your food is or if there is anything she can get you thing really really ruined the meal I paid for. I did overhear our waitress tell two other tables that she had been pre-occupied for 20 minutes while helping someone else’s customer.(Not sure exactly what she was doing that required 20 minutes…) Based on this experience and previous experiences here I don’t believe this is just the waitress’ fault but has to do with the leadership and management. Later my husband called in and spoke with one of their managers who did apologize and repeat that this is «Not the Cracker Barrel Way.» At the end of the day I’m still über unpleased and still don’t delight in spending $ 20 on being treated poorly, especially when I don’t get my food as ordered. Granted, had I had some better service I would have gladly spent more.

Cracker Barrels food has really taken a turn for the worse at this location. Something has changed since the placed opened. For starters, there food always comes out lukewarm at best and usually cold. There quote fresh cooking is most likely a buffet line they scoop from in the back. The staff is friendly and the store is nice but the food to me is terrible now. My to go chicken and dumplings was bland, smelled old and the other sides did too. The cornbread was bland and dry. I wish they would go back to the Cracker Barrel of old. Wont catch me here unless it changes.

Not bad, not healthy This was the first time have been to a cracker barrel in a long time. The food was exactly what I expected. The service was pretty good. The server we had was very nice, although she messed up my order which I tried going for one of the healthier things on the menu. Of course the sides were iffy for health. taking the veggies and cooking them in butter. Over all the food was good for the price, but definitely not upscale food, which I wasn’t really expecting. In the end, for a cheap meal that tastes decent it’s not bad. If you want to have the same thing made healthier you would probably have to go somewhere that would cost a little more.

I just don’t get why people eat breakfast here. The french toast was disgusting. I think that it was actually something like Wonderbread and it was just wrong on every level,(wrong bread, poorly seasoned, odd texture). It was so inedible that I had to send it back. My husband had the omelette and was not very impressed. Seriously if you have a discriminating palate or if you can«throw down» in the kitchen you do not want to eat here. This place is for people who don’t cook and don’t care.

It took a little while for our server to finally come to our table, but once he came by he was attentive. Not perfect, but not bad. Food was good. But we didn’t get biscuits or muffins like I thought they normally do. Had some of the chocolate pecan pie for dessert, a la mode. Really good, and hard to beat the price($ 3.29).

I cannot believe that a manager would allow a restaurant to run out of silverware! This is exactly what happened 7:30PM on a Friday night in November my husband and I went to Cracker Barrel on Windward Parkway to go have dinner and was told there was a 40 minute wait and when I mentioned that there were tons of tables available they told me that they ran out of silverware and that is the reason why there was a long wait. Basically on a Friday night they lost out on a ton of money because someone either didn’t clean the silverware or they did not buy enough silverware. For that if I was an owner of the franchise that manager would be fired. The restaurant was completely empty.

Come hungry. This is the place for large amounts of highly fattening food that will make your ass huge and clog your arteries. While it is all very bad for you it is also very delicious. Most of their entrees are slathered with a large quantity of gloppy gravy or sauce. If you eat here often, you will not live to be old. They do need to change the name from Cracker Barrel to Barrel of Crap because of the unusual amount of useless crap they sell in the front of the store which is the type of stuff you usually only see in the house of people on episodes of «Hoarders.»

We have been here 3 times without any problems. The staff has always been great no matter where we sit. This morning when we went in for breakfast our meals took a while to get to the table and when they got there my meal was not even warm. My partners meal was over cooked and a huge chunk looked to have been eaten out of it. I know they wouldn’t eat food before takin it out but it’s unacceptable to have 1⁄3 of the food missing. We talked to the waitress and she was very sweet and told us the manager would come over and talk to us. 10 mins later our waitress comes back and tells us the manager doesn’t have time to talk and she will just comp. the meal. When we went to pay we asked to directly talk to the manager and she seemed to just not care at all and we were hurried to pay and leave. I will go back to this place but this is the worst experience I have had at a Cracker Barrel.

Decent food, but the dining room seemed understaffed as our server appeared overwhelmed. While the food was up to snuff(besides my eggs being cold) the slow service was a negative. Don’t go here if you need to be somewhere else anytime soon.

This is a great place to go to if you’re looking for breakfast at night. There was no wait! I had Uncle Herschel’s Favorite, which came with eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, and choice of meat — I chose steak. The food was hot, and our server had great customer service. Be sure to check out their store before you leave! Pretty good selection of candy.

I came on a sunday morning for brunch with my manager, I was very impressed by all the old ads that were there. The service was great. Our server was friendly and gave us whatever we needed. I had the Uncle Herschel’s Favorite: a special that have 2 eggs cooked over easy with Grits, Sawmill Gravy and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits along with Real Butter and the best Preserves, Served with Hash-brown Casserole and Fried Chicken Tenderloin. My food was very good and the portion was so big. PS. In the restaurant is a country store. They sell all kind of food, candy, some clothing. I wish I had a Cracker Barrel where I live I would go very often.

I had no issues at this Cracker Barrel. Though the place was very busy, the service was on point throughout the meal. They never missed a beat always keeping our drinks refilled and never leaving finished plates sitting long on the table. Also the food was consistent with past visits. All was good here, they seemed to have their formula for good business down packed and I will definitely be back again and again. There was one issue we had which is a pet peeve of mine at any restaurant, and an issue that I find way too often; dirty silverware. We had a dirty fork and spoon with stuck on dry food or something on them. As often as I come across dirty silverware at restaurants I don’t think that most people even pay attention to notice otherwise I think it wouldn’t be so common. I seem to find dirty silverware or plates at restaurants more often than I don’t so I’m always on alert for this kind of thing. Anyway, everything else about the place is good.

Just your typical Cracker Barrel. I like how convenient this location is since it’s close to the 400 exit, so I’ve often used the parking lot as a meeting place on the weekends for a shopping trip, corn maze trip or hiking day in North GA. For the first time in a long time, I went inside for breakfast on a Friday morning. I can’t remember which thing I specifically ordered, but there was eggs, bacon, grits and I don’t know if my biscuits came with gravy or not — it was confusing once the waitress served us. Kind of the bland side, I almost wished I had gone to Waffle House instead, but this place is probably healthier and cleaner. They’re generous with their coffee, although I’d be wary of the creamers they provide. Some were a little chunky, not sure if it was from over-freezing.

A nice respite from the corporate lunch places and high end dinner retreats that are scattered all over Windward Parkway and the Alpharetta area. Normally Cracker Barrels seem relegated to rural locations dangling off major interstate exits, but thankfully a couple have ended up inside the Atlanta Metro area. Cracker Barrel delivers great Southern comfort food. And for me, it’s a bit nostalgic as it takes me back to road trips with the family or dinners out with the Grandparents. Recently the chain has modernized the menu a bit, added a significant offering of healthy options, and service has been spot on. I’ve had just about everything they offer over the years and always leave happy. No visit is complete without a visit to the country store. From Pecan Logs to Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews, fresh Buckeyes, old time gum and sodas, and plenty of country and patriotic flair to boot. Always grab a lil treat to remind me of times gone by. It’s a rural oasis located smack dab in one of Metro Atlanta’s Technology Hubs. Enjoy!
