Went for dinner. No hotestss. Waited. No hostess. If the service is a reflection of the food– then the food must be horrible. I will never go back to know…

Stopped in for dinner after a business meeting and needed a place to unwind. Nice friendly staff; steak was good and drink was strong, so it’s all good.

My review is poor due to one specific bartender. The pasta was acceptable. Good dance floor on the night of the 80s party. This man, the bartender, was not professional. I will let him remain nameless but I have addressed this with management in a direct communication. I went there Friday 10÷16÷15. Bartender(Male), was not professional at all. He needs re-training. #1. I asked for the wine list. He started reading it to me by the Vineyard name, There were not many wines, but I asked him what type of wine they were and he looked at me and said«I don’t know about wine»… I am sorry, but if you are in a certain trade or business, you need to know the basics of that trade. Bartenders need to at least know that when a person asks Type of wine, they are to name them as a Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, etc! Just the basics, #2. I later on asked they carried Rumplemintz or Goldshlagger as my friend had offensive breath and I wanted him to swish some. Bartender Mark said they did not have those. I asked if he had any other minty liquors or even fresh mint, to which he replied«IFYOUWANTMINTYSTUFF, YOU’REGONNAHAVETOGOELSEWHERE» I then asked if he suggesting I leave the bar I said«Do you mean I should go to another bar to drink?» and he reiterated«I AMJUSTSAYINGWEDON’T HAVETHAT, ANDIFYOUWANTTHAT, YOUAREGONNANEEDTOGOASKFORITELSEWHERE’». This is not the way to handle that request. You should never tell a paying, well behaved customer, that the only way to get something they asked is to depart from THIS location and go find elsewhere. Very rude. There was another issue but those two above were the main reason why I feel no need to ever visit this place.

Terrible. Just terrible. 20 minutes for our appetizer with a hair in it. Another 10 for our crap dinner. They didn’t have mahi mahi so I got tilapia instead and the steak looked like it was cooked on a George Forman. Also, the mashed potatoes are just that, potatoes and some milk thrown together haphazardly. And the waitress laughed when she saw we barely touched our food.

Went there with some colleagues for its convenient location. We ordered some drinks and finger food. The flatbread/pizzas were good. Nothing special though, it’s pretty big and rather empty. The waitress was nice, the wine selection was pretty limited. Forgettable, but not specially bad.

This is one of the worst meals we have ever had. The lemon pepper wings were greasy and oversalted. The celery was so old it was moldy with brown bruises. The shrimp and grits looked and tasted like the chef poured canned tomato sauce over instant grits and frozen shrimp. There was absolutely no flavor and it was nothing like the menu described. The jambalaya didn’t have andouille sausage — it was kielbasa. Now we know why the place was empty on a Friday night. What a terrible excuse for a restaurant. Don’t waste your time and money.

Good not great. I came here on a business lunch and had the chop chicken salad. It was a solid salad, nothing that would wow you, but solid. I got the vibe that this place would have been a good spot to get a burger and a beer and I will be sure to order that the next time I’m in Alpharetta on business. It had the atmosphere of an Idaho lodge and I appreciated the rustic feel. The staff was very very friendly and more than willing to help with anything we needed. That’s my word and I’m sticking to it.

I’ve been driving past Firefly for quite a while now. There was a period of time when it was closed, but then they reopened. It LOOKS like it could be a great go-to place in Alpharetta. Not smack dab in the middle of Windward Parkway. Yesterday was a beautiful day so myself and some colleagues(we all recently relocated here from Massachusetts) decided to head out for a cocktail and a light bite. We wanted to sit outdoors. We figured everywhere in Alpharetta would be jam packed in a Friday evening, but decided to try Firefly. Well…at 5:45 the place was pretty empty. There appeared to be a large party or two inside, and maybe one or two at the bar. REALLY loud inside. Asked to be seated outside. We were the only ones. It was a little breezy, but it was better than the inside atmosphere. The main issue were these bumble bees that were HUGE — hovering all around us. I guess they were Carpenter Bees. Anyway…service seemed lacking, although they tried. Harried bartender/waitress told us two servers had walked out that day(excellent sign of good management!!!) They ran out of Tito’s vodka. Three of the 6 ordered drinks with Titos, and it seems they ran out of it before they finished making all the drinks. Pretty watered down. Food was just… Meh… Forgettable and cold. I ordered a Turkey Burger with no bun… but apparently that was understood to be just a plain old Turkey Burger sitting on a plate. I sent It back and asked to please have the rest of the stuff… Cheese, Avocado, Tomato… out on. It is a shame. This could be such a great spot. Unfortunately it is obvious that it is very poorly managed. I won’t be in any big hurry to get back there.

Do not eat here! The burger has no flavor and the fries are so overdone, they’re hard. The manager/owner sits at the bar on his laptop on Facebook while his one good employee(the young blonde bartender) waits tables and the bar. Ok, he did get up to clean off a dirty table. The cook walked by with his boxers showing to go to the bathroom. On a Friday night there were 4 people at the bar and two tables. That should have been our clue.

To Sarah B, the person who you thought was the manager /owner was actually the boyfriend of the other bartender. He is not employed by the restaurant. Please check your facts before posting assumptions.

My experience and food weren’t bad, but they weren’t amazing either. I had a salad and sandwich for lunch. There are other items on the menu I’d like to try. Unfortunately, it was too cold for me to sit out on the patio. But I think it will be really nice in the spring and summer. I’ll give Firefly another try!

Been Unilocaling for a few years and this is my very first really bad rating… This place is horrible. Please don’t waste your time or money. Here’s how it went — Dinner with my wife and daughter on Saturday night. After 5 picks off the wine menu they had one in stock. Waitress was trying, but she just had too many tables. Food arrives 65 minutes after ordering, and ready for it? YEP, cold, undercooked and just plain flat or bad or under size. Not even worth any more letters and words…

Comfort food indeed. I had the jambalaya and it was very good. Could have been a little spicier but that’s my taste. For the price it’s a huge portion. They have Yuengling on tap which I was surprised by but I’m not from here so I didn’t ask questions and ordered one! Would recommend if you are in the area. Looks relatively new large open bar and seating area with a patio.

I went there with work mates. There were seven of us for lunch. On the positive side, the food was good, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere was ok. On the negative side, there was only one vegetarian/vegan option and the service was abysmally slow. The restaurant was 2⁄3 empty but our food took about 35 minutes to arrive. I would not recommend it.

Poor Firefly. Yet another in a long line of attempts in this location that is clearly about to close. My first visit here, over a year ago, was casual fine dining. The ambience was spirited but subdued, and the food was elegant and hearty. This visit was a completely different experience. From the too loud rock music playing from a bartender’s iPod to the mediocre local art hanging on the walls, it is clear that Firefly isn’t what it once was. The appetizer and two entrees had the same flavor profiles. You would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the southwest queso dip and the Cajun pasta. The whole menu was really just glorified bar food. Speaking of the bar, the very loud conversations at one end the bar made conversation with my wife and our server very difficult. On the good side, our server was wonderful. Tayler was cute, engaging, knowledgable, friendly, and attentive. They also serve local beer on tap — always a plus. I don’t think we’ll be back.
