2-13-2016 western with bacon and jalapeños and cheese, with blueberry pancakes and a Coke(not in picture), all for just under $ 22.00. Lots of food. Best pancakes I ever had. I have to comment on the service, it was outstanding and they were packed when I was there.

So I ordered their ground sausage omelet. I don’t know what style omelet they serve but it’s very airy, fluffy, soufflish. For my personal preference, I don’t like it, it’s not a typical omelet. I’ll have to get their regular egg breakfast. As for their pancakes, they have gluten free pancake and they are really good. Usually gluten-free pancakes are made out of different flours and usually not as fluffy. Here, they have the most fluffiest gluten-free pancakes I tried. I’m going to have to come back and try their other variations/toppings with their gluten free pancakes.

Really great service here on Sundays. The hostess was really kind and accommodating when my mom requested a table over a booth. She went around the restaurant and found us the perfect spot. The waitress and manager was so attentive and nice as well. The food is great too. Love the coffee and real cream. Also note that two eggs is really like 4! Delicious and great atmosphere.

Right place for those who love pancakes. They are a little pricey but taste is good. But they have a horrible wait time on weekends and the ambiance is just fine. Pancakes are very soft and melts in the mouth, but they give very little whipped cream with Pancakes. We order more whipped cream almost every time.

OMG the BIGGEST omelets in GA… you will not be disappointed. The pancakes are off the chain as well.

Food was fantastic, I got peach pancakes and it was served with 6 pancakes. Coffee was good too. The service was pretty bad though. Our waitress brought out the check almost 15 minutes within receiving our food and asked us if we wanted to-go boxes when we clearly weren’t done eating. When I asked for coffee, she brought it in a styrofoam cup, assuming we were leaving. We hadn’t asked for the check or given any indication of leaving and the place still had empty tables so it wasn’t like they were full. We remained seated however, since we weren’t ready to leave, finished our food and then left.

Desperately in need of a remodel. We waited 45 minutes on Sunday at 10am. The front seating area by the windows is very small and there’s a counter to eat at and then a back room with no windows and small photos hanging on dated yellowish walls. I would have preferred to eat in my own kitchen. It was so uninviting and felt prison-like. I’ve eaten in cafeterias that are much nicer. The food was average(although the apple pancake was delicious). Probably won’t be back unless they change the location or remodel it.

Disclaimer: I had no pancakes at The Original Pancake House. If I did, it would have been the Dutch-Baby, which I ordered at another location in Grosse Pointe, MI. Quit messin’ around and order one! I did have the Corned-beef hash with three poached eggs and toast, however, and it was delicious. The eggs were a little on the well done side but still had perfect poached-texture. Skip IHOP and experience the Original Pancake House!

This place is good for breakfast, place where it excels is you have to ORDER the DUTCHBABY, it’s the only place in town that does this wonderment of German Ingenuity(Nope — no Mercedes, Einstein or BMW). The omelettes and pancakes are in the good category, but the Dutch Baby gets me and the wife there. Only bad thing is the place has some off putting servers at times(usually understaffed) so that is the mark there, but not had any bad food ever, just wish it was not so far out of the way from where I am usually at. Far better than Awful Waffle and more pleasant crowd with no bad smells as most Waffle House seems to have(and no that is not toxic mold, those are the customers)

Great omelet! Nice pecan pancakes and the potato pancakes were good too. Everything is fresh. Very good breakfast choice. Bacon was also very good. Went early. There was a line when we came out. Very popular!

We came for a late brunch with one guest in a wheelchair. They put us in a booth, adding a chair at the end(the booth too high to fit a wheelchair) looking around after being seated, there was a spacious 4 top — go figure. Service was slooooooow. At a nearby table, two servers were talking up an older couple, obvious regulars. Food is good, but not sure merits the luxury price. Chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy and good, but needed more chocolate. Pecan pancakes were yummy. Spinach omelet was so so. Bland. The pecan waffle was not very big, but the waffle itself tasty. The pecans poured on top had a slight metallic taste which comes from sitting in a bag for too long. The syrup was watery and more like sugar water than syrup. A good maple syrup would have helped elevate the pancakes and waffle. Coffee was strong, which was how we like it. For the price, not worth it.

Absolutely love this place! Definitely try the coconut pancakes. I only use the tropical syrup because they are packed with flavor. The omelette’s are massive and they come with a side of pancakes so if you’re not famished, I suggest splitting it someone. The western Also a must try is the Dutch Baby and the Cherry crepes. Disclaimer: This place is a mad house on weekends so expect a 20 – 30 minute wait… but so worth it.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. Great service and a great selection of hearty breakfasts to choose from. Their pico de gallo side is a great choice to add to your eggs to spice them up a bit. I love crispy bacon and here they do it right. This place also offers freshly squeezed OJ and grapefruit juice. Great option to bring your in town guests.

We had the Dutch Baby and Spanish Omelette. The omelette is HUGE and ended up taking half home. The Dutch Baby was a yummy fluffy surprise and the best dish we enjoyed there. Tip#1: download the NoWait app and get in line before you leave(you’ll easily save your party a 15 minute wait) Tip#2: there is a Scoutmob deal for 50%(max $ 10)

Good hearty breakfasts! Like that they offer fresh squeezed OJ and GJ — did a mix of both. For my meal I had the Spanish Omeltte. Lots of mushrooms and a nice red sauce with olives. Made it better by adding some ground sausage. For the three pancakes that are included, upgraded to the peach topping.

Your average original pancake house experience. There is always a huge wait here which is a bit odd for me given how many breakfast places there are around here. They do have an app which makes it so you can check into the line from home and just leave when there’s a few people ahead of you and that helps significantly. The food here is good and they have a good variety. The portions are insane so we usually end up sharing an entrée and sides of fruit amongst three people(all be it one is a baby but still lol) Service is usually good and the restaurant is pleasant enough. I don’t think I’d go well out of my way to come here, but if you live nearby and want a good pancake, this is a solid option.

After hearing so many good things about this restaurant for brunch, I decided to try it! Unfortunately it didn’t meet my expectations. We came here on a Sunday around noon and got a table within ten minutes which was a great start! We sat and ordered. I asked our waitress if it was possible to put pecans in the banana pancake mix. She quickly said«no, you could get banana pancakes with a side of pecans or pecan pancakes with a side of freshly sliced bananas. If the pancakes are made fresh to order, why can’t they add pecans to a small bowl of the banana pancake mix? When the banana pancakes came out, the pecans weren’t even on the plate yet. She came over minutes later to deliver the small portion of pecans to sprinkle on top. Even though the banana pancake plate came with 6 pancakes, there was barely any bananas in it. They didn’t really have much taste. They came with a tropical homemade syrup. It tasted like a type of lemon cleaner. The waitress said she hears that complaint a lot and was willing to give me a different flavored syrup, apple. It was a lot better! I also ordered a side of two scrambled eggs with chopped onion. I’m not sure how, but the eggs had no flavor either. In fact, they either tasted like PAM spray or a type of grease spray that was put on the pan. Not sure if they were not real eggs or they just needed some seasoning. You can tell from the photo(maybe it was undercooked?). The other people at my table had a monster omelet! The size of it was amazingly big and impressive. For $ 12, they should be that big! Maybe the restaurant was having an off day but unfortunately I don’t recommend this brunch restaurant.

The food here is good, I will admit. The complaint I have is that it is way too pricey. I had a strawberry waffle and that alone was over $ 10, which I don’t understand because the charged an additional for sliced strawberries 1.80 and that was not explained in the menu– you had a choice of frozen or sliced. My hubby had sausage and eggs and a small OJ, and we each had an iced tea. Our total bill for two was 36 bucks. The bill really diminished our experience. Our server, Karen, was great– polite and attentive. When all is said and done, we probably won’t go back — there are other places that offer breakfast at much more reasonable prices.

New to the area, and told that the pancakes were some of the best other than his mom’s by Bill, we decided to splurge and have some breakfast for lunch. At 11:30 on a Wednesday, there were plenty of tables and booths available. One of our party was a little behind us, but they seated us and took our drink orders anyway. I chose the The Fried Egg Salad(3 strips of bacon and 2 fried eggs over a bed of mixed greens tossed with vinaigrette and croutons. Going for lunch we all wanted pancakes, but couldn’t actually bring ourselves to order that as our meal. So instead, we got one order of the buttermilk pancakes for all at the table to share. The fried egg salad was exactly as the menu described, though there were many more croutons than I wanted, so I left a pile on the plate. The server even mentioned that she thinks they put way to many on the salad. The pancakes were thinner than I expected but fluffy and spongy the way pancakes should be. Server was friendly and helpful, proactively thinking of things we needed. Space feels a little old, particularly compared to so many new and modern spots on Windward.
