Happy 15th anniversary being in business. We continue to enjoy your cuisine and hospitality. The best in Alpharetta. Thank you.

Most definitely the best chinese food take out for vegetarians in the area! Although they don’t have a lunch menu item for Sesame Tofu, if you call them and request Sesame Tofu, they will make a dinner portion for you. It is not listed on their menu and it is SOGOOD! The tofu was cooked so well and not slimy like other restaurants continously do. The Sesame sauce is delicious and plentiful, I was able to dip my veggie egg roll in it! I did wish they had vegetable spring rolls available, but despite that, everything was delicious! I will definitely come back here, thanks goodness they are only a mile away from me!

Simple and clean Chinese restaurant. Terrible food though. Egg rolls were doughy. Garlic chicken was terrible and I had to abandon it. House special chicken was edible but disappointing. It’s not a cheap place either, $ 12 for a basic entrée. Not recommended.

I like it. Love that they deliver. I’ve never been inside the restaurant. I usually get the shrimp fried rice with an order of crispy salmon rolls(made with brown rice). Taste great to me. Usually get it every Friday.

Nothing special. Like any other cliché Chinese restaurant. i would definitely not come back. Bland soup. They need to really need to shorten their menu and stick to one type of Chinese or Asian. Better restaurants in the area to go for a more authentic Asian experience. I had several bones in my chicken and some of my friends shrimp was not devained.

I’ve eaten at Simon’s for years and I have never once been disappointed. They offer a great variety and if they don’t have exactly what you want on the menu they can usually make it for you. The owner is typically on site, which is wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Simon’s Chinese Cuisine can be found at the end of a short mixed-use business center before you get to the Publix traveling East on Old Milton from 400. It’s a bit difficult to find, just look for the Chevron station and when you see it, prepare to pull in to your right. The building is an older typical Georgia red brick single story structure extended to fit a handful of shops. Simon’s Chinese Cuisine is on the end of the short awning above the door and there’s a neon«Simon’s» in the left window that you can almost see from the street. Don’t be fooled by the apparent size of the restaurant as it’s quite roomy once you enter. I’ve eaten at Simon’s a few times — it seems to be a favorite of my relatives who call Alpharetta home. I don’t believe I would come back here again on my own. Apparently it’s been an Alpharetta mainstay for over 15 or so years — when the restaurant was opened I would imagine that there were few options for ethnic food in the area but now I’m not so sure. There were several nice cars in the lot when we pulled up last week, including a Tesla, a convertible Bentley and a high-end Mercedes, so Simon’s definitely has some fans. The interior is spacious and made to look more so by the mirrored walls. There’s a large salt water fish tank and various Asian artifacts on the walls. Perhaps a better name for this place would be «Simon’s Asian Cuisine» as the décor had both Chinese and Japanese elements, as did the menu. The menu has an extensive selection of Chinese items and then is expanded into two pages of sushi. Not to be outdone, there’s also a section of Thai items. My extended family indicated that the owners were Vietnamese but I wonder about that and think that Thai is probably more appropriate. The last couple of times I’ve eaten here the food seemed unduly sweet to me, but that may have been exacerbated by the food selection — Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken. This last time the food had a bit more balance — also the Mongolian Beef seemed to be toned down a bit(but don’t worry, the sweet and sour chicken more than made up for that). We started with some soups — the wonton soup was very basic — actually I’ve never been a fan and have only found it palatable at Fortune Cookie on Briarcliff. The hot and sour tasted pretty much like every version you find in Atlanta now that Sun Dynasty is closed(for some time now) on Memorial — that was a hot and sour soup worth traveling for. I came up to Alpharetta after a stressful work day and was the only one imbibing alcohol — at least Simon’s has something a little better than your typical low-end beers. The Sierra Nevada was very welcome. Oh I should also mention the service — we had a large party of about 12 people with a couple of kids — the service here is very good and the people very accommodating for a party of our size. That actually improved my review a bit. Next came a couple of containers of rice — one of steamed rice and the other of «fried» rice — the latter seemed to be more of an egg rice with a lot of color added. I tried a little to see what it was all about figuring that it would be too salty but it actually wasn’t — nor was it particularly tasty but order it if you feel like you must. We ordered several dishes — the best were the Mongolian Beef and the Spicy Chicken. The Chicken and Broccoli and the Phoenix and Dragon were ok if a little bland. I would pass on the day-glow sweet and sour chicken — actually I’m not sure why anyone would eat fried chicken tubes covered in orange sugar. On the other hand, the portions are large and it’s easy to get by ordering fewer dishes for a large group — the prices are also very reasonable. Some sushi was ordered at the table unfortunately the person ordering didn’t share so I have no idea of the quality here. Nor do I know what the Thai food was like but in retrospect I should have ordered some as it may be the best thing served here. In general the food was decent but nothing special, with the major flavors dominated by low spice levels for the typical American palate. The service made up for a lot. (much longer review with photos on my food blog)

Tried Simons for the first and last time they serve Japanese, Chinese and Thai food which is all Mediocre, unfortunately with gourmet prices. I thought i was going to a Chinese restaurant There are several better Chinese restaurants. For ex. LI Fu has better Chinese food and I will continue to go there, They serve only Chinese food and there in lies the problem, to be good at 3 different types of food even if they seem to be similar. Do they employ 3 different chefs full time I highly doubt. My wife’s sashimi was not fresh and my shrimp and asparagus the shrimp were dried out over cooked added shiitake mushrooms not indicated on the menu I don’t like them, plus sauce was not great. Did not try Thai food no reason to believe it will be any better.

Consistently special — Simons offers a fine Asian interpretation and attentive service. The owner is here every day — the staff are long-term employees. Care in the kitchen — care at the table — care for the soul.

Consistent and great food, courteous staff and comfortable setting. The Chinese food is always fresh with quality ingredients and the sushi is actually very good. The crazy daisy roll is great and wor wonton soup is the best. It’s our go-to spot in Alpharetta for Chinese and Sushi. Simon is great.

Came here exactly one year ago on Valentine’s Day, we had a great time. There was a nice young staff working, they were very attentive and were at our table constantly to check to see what we needed. It was not busy at all, plenty of staff on hand. Now, Valentine’s Day 2015 comes along, same situation, not busy, plenty of staff on hand, but we received terrible service. We had to call the waiter over for what we had previously ordered 4 different times. They did not ask or even bring us the complimentary wonton chips. Once we finally got them they gave us a small plate for a table of 8 and they were hard and not fresh like last year. We had to ask twice for the sweet and sour sauce that was supposed to be brought out with the wontons. It seemed as though they did not want our business. And no, we weren’t being rude or loud in anyway. I had the crab Rangoons for an appetizer and basil fried rice for my entrée. My Rangoons tasted as though they refried a set of already fried Rangoons just so It would be hot again. So when they got to me they were too hard and not easy to enjoy. My entrée was pretty good but the service just made it hard to enjoy my visit here. Not sure if we will be back again next year. Happy Valentine’s Day :/

I tried the veggie lo mein and orange chicken. They were both large portions and good. The miso soup was excellent! Seaweed was a nice touch.

Simon’s Chinese is an old friend to Alpharetta. It has been around for at least 14 years and the décor is still relevant, still warm and inviting place to eat. It has declined over the years in my opinion, on food and service, as some others have noted. This used to be the place I ordered take out from all the time and would eat in at on occasion. Now I feel like the attention to the food is gone and the service is a bit unfriendly and average at best. On this past order I will review directly, I had Tom Yum Soup, and house speciliaty chicken and Orange Peel Chicken(which is not on the menu, but I get it all the time. Tom Yum, 2 stars, seafood was overcooked and had freezerburn taste. House Chicken, 3 star, it was tender, the chincen was good, but the sauce does not hav ethe falvor I once remember and feels like a boring plain dish even though it’s spicy. The Orange Peel has and is a 4 star dish, however it’s easy… fry some chicken, put in orange peels, and slap on the sauce. If I was right across the street and in diar need of Chinese, I would go here, but this place is quickly becoming surpassed by the Roswell/Alpharetta scene that is seeing a lot of new Asian cuisines. If you are in the area, it’s a good land, otherwise, maybe move on.

Here is the MAINTHING that makes me order from Simon’s again and again: their superb delivery service. It is incredibly, crazily, easy to order from them. Go to the website – add things to cart – their online ordering service stores my information, even down to the gate code to get into my neighborhood – check out, and wait for food. The ordering service gives an estimated time of arrival, the delivery guy inevitably arrives early and with a smile, and life just goes on merrily. Seriously, this ease of ordering thing is HUGE. Because sometimes I am super lazy and I just want Chinese(or passable Thai or Japanese) food to arrive at my house with a minimum of effort. I have never set foot inside the actual restaurant. I assume it is fine. The food? The food is perfectly acceptable. Nothing has been gross. I like the orange peel beef and the sweet and sour chicken. My husband likes the Panang Curry. Prices are a smidge steep, but comparable to other Chinese places around here(like Lin’s). BUTDID I MENTIONTHEAMAZINGORDERPROCESS??? So – the food gets 3 stars, and an additional star for the great ordering/delivery process(and friendly delivery driver).

I recently moved to the Atlanta area and am looking for great restaurants to add to my list of regular hotspots. I checked out to see what Chinese restaurants delivered to my area. Simon’s was on there and had great reviews, so I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls. It was delivered quickly and the food was excellent! I will definitely order from Simon’s again and ordering online through was super easy and convenient!

Simon’s is one of those restaurants(Asian or not) that has learned how to kick up the Alpharetta/Johns Creek/Milton notch a bit. This area isn’t known for it’s unique flavors or trend-setting variety, so Simon has done something a little different. Instead of naming his restaurant _______Jade or _____Lotus, he opted for using his own name, and putting it all on the line. The food quality isn’t perfection, but if you expect perfection on a sub-$ 10 plate, then you are oblivious to what quality food actually is. North Fulton is terrible as far as Asian restaurants go, so it’s nice to have something other than just«flied lice» and«swee-sow poke». Is Simons the best? Nope, but it is consistently good on any given day, at a price that is nice to your wallet. Good, but not great.

The Won Tons in both of our soups were cold and hard in the middle. We told our server who first shook her head no and then didn’t seen to care once we reiterated that they were cold. We probably won’t be back.

I’ll have to Second Lee G’s review, I remember when this place use to be good or fairly decent. it’s still OK, It’s not the best take on Chinese food that i’ve had in this area but will do if you need quick in and out service & back to work or home. I guess the thing that disappoints me is that for the money the portions are pretty small and the service can be spotty. There are a couple of other places a few blocks before and after this location. They better watch out if they are any good people will be going to them instead.
