I saw the reviews Dr. Stewart’s office got on this website prior to my appt. However, his office is very close to my house so I decided to try it out for myself. I was quite surprised! I found his staff VERY friendly. The nurse practitioner I saw was VERY knowledgeable and took her time with me. I felt like they really cared about my well being! I loved the receptionist, I found her nice and pleasant with everyone. Even the girls in the back that took my blood were very nice. I was very impressed! In fact, I’m moving my husband and daughters over to this practice. Even going to move my 84 yr old parents! I went in with very low expectations and walked out feeling great. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

It’s tough to give any business a low review and sadly this review would have been much higher had it not been for the terrible front office staff. The nurse practitioner, Amanda Choi and Dr. Stewart are great. Both are personable and knowledgeable and I think Amanda is very through and has a great memory. However when it comes to the office, the buck stops here. Ann the front office person, is curt, rude and it feels like you’re pulling teeth to get anything out of her. Her tone is always snide on the phone and you can tell that she is dispassionate about being in customer service. The office manager just hides behind Ann and there doesn’t seem to be any gusto in this office due to the lack of leadership and disorganization by the front office. They claim to mail things to you address when nothing is received, they claim to call you for appointments — even going as far as to say that«I spoke to you» on x day, when that never happened and then they have fees for everything, even if you want a copy of your test results. The behavior of the office support staff has worsened over the years, which is why I have found another practice — that is just as knowledgeable as Dr. Stewart and Amanda, minus the rude front office team.

Do you value your time? Dr. Stewart’s office won’t. I’ve been to Dr. Stewart’s office twice now(Oct 2014& May 2015). Both times I have gone for a routine visit, I have had to wait waaaaaaay too long. This past visit(May 2015), I arrived at 8:30 for an 8:45 appointment. I was perfectly fine to wait 15 minutes until my appointment. I was the only one in the waiting room the entire time I was there. At 8:45, I was called back to take my vitals, record my weight, and explain my symptoms. After those quick checks, I was walked down the hall to an exam room and put in there by myself to wait to see someone. And then… nothing. An hour went by before I finally just got up and walked out. I told the receptionist that I could no longer wait to see a physician based on my schedule. I needed to see a physician but I didn’t need for it to be an event requiring me to take a half-day off of work to see them. After leaving, I fully expected one of James Stewart’s staff to call me(perhaps apologetically) and attempt to reschedule. Needless to say, they never called. How’s that for customer service? Find someone else. I can assure you that your appointment time doesn’t really matter to them.

I have been a patient of Dr Stewarts for more than 10 years, I choice his practice because he was a small single practitioner. He has continued to be a very good Doctor and easy to relate with, but my concern is with his Practice. First it now takes greater than 60 days for a simple appointment. It appears that his patient load has become to large to service his patients in a timely manner. Second, I do not believe that I have seen the same support staff(both office and medical support staff) more than twice in a row, and I have been going to him, twice a year for years. Just too much turnover, no continuity with the practice.

This review is more for Dr. Stewart’s staff than for him. I am actually a patient of his partner, Dr. Mouledous, and haven’t met Dr. Stewart at all. But I am acquainted with his staff. Nurse was very nice… but is the only nurse I have ever met that couldn’t find a vein in my arm. I left with a very painful bruise. Receptionist just rubs me the wrong way and doesn’t seem to have any organizational skills. She had me scheduled for the wrong doctor… «but that’s ok, you can just come back on Friday…» Please, have a little more respect for my time!
