I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this restaurant involving the food, service, and management. They serve the lowest-grade food that disappoints every time. The waxy tortilla chips come with an approximation of salsa. Once they spilled a tray of drinks near us. They provided a multitude of napkins and apologies but never offered to comp a portion of our meal or even a dessert. Most recently we visited on trivia night. Having been previous winners, we had a $ 25 gift certificate. Unbeknownst to us, it had expired ONE day prior. Rather than honor the certificate or even compromise, they preferred we pay for our meal and lose us as customers. There are many restaurants serving the same style food in the area. Go there instead.

The tacos were pretty tasty. I love that they do a Taco Tuesday special as well.

Great selection of tacos on the menu with great flavor. They have both flour and corn soft tortillas, which is great for me being gluten free. Love $ 2 tacos on Tuesdays. One of my favorite restaurants.

Let me be honest. This place is not all it’s cracked up to be. The taco selecting is just like every other taco spot. They have crazy names, but a shrimp taco is now the boom boom shrimp taco for $ 3.50 each taco. They got a chicken tender taco. We have a sample of the seafood and beef selection. They were just okay tacos. We also had the OK canal burrito. With grilled steak and chicken. The chicken and steak was cut into baby food sizes pieces that my companion stayed to the waiter he didn’t think he ordered the right plate because his burrito didn’t have any meat. The only thing that was good in any Spanish restaurant is the fajitas. This high priced taco stand is the missing the high priced cooks! The margaritas were great. They also have $ 2 tacos on Tuesday so if you still have to try it go then.

I haven’t been to a Twisted Taco in over 4 years since moving to Atlanta until last week when I checked them out with my co-workers as a group. This location has parking out front and also behind the building. We actually ended up sitting upstairs, outside on their rooftop patio area. The weather was beautiful so it ended up working out quite well. The majority of our table ordered tacos and seemed pleased with their menu choice. I ordered their mongo salad with steak. It is equivalent to a standard fajita salad. I liked that it came with a scoop of guacamole, corn and black bean relish, and sour cream. The steak pieces were decent. I’ve had better but I appreciated that the meat wasn’t seasoned on the saltier side. Not a huge fan of salty foods so am always concerned when ordering items that have seasoned meat but they did a good job. Our server did the best he could but it would’ve been nice if he filled our water glasses and other drinks prior to us asking. Overall, the lunch visit was fine. Nothing too spectacular but it’s a great lunch spot for if you work or live in the Alpharetta area by Windward Parkway and they do have daily specials as well so that’s a bonus.

Reggie, the bartender is awesome. Great food. And a lot of cool people to hang out with. Its defiently a great after work spot for like 20– 30 year olds. Do try the eggroll appetizer. its huge. Enough for a filling lunch.

Not the biggest fan of this place. We go here after work occasionally. My food always seems really salty.

Can we all admit that customer service these days is… Ehhhh. Especially at casual dining establishments. I went to twisted taco for lunch last week with a co worker. Expecting mediocre food and service but was pleasantly surprised with the opposite. Excellent food, best margarita I’ve had in a while, and the best server EVER. Black guy w braids in the bar area, you must sit with him! He’s amazing. AND to top it off when we left, another random server insisted on opening the door for us and told us to «have a blessed day». I have to say, it really did change my day and make my co worker and I so happy. Thanks twisted taco! See u soon!

I visited another Twisted Taco a couple years ago and really liked it so when I saw this location was on NCrowd, I quickly bought the deal. BIGMISTAKE! My coworker and I were seated quickly and our waiter was prompt on taking our order. Then the crickets started chirping. It took quite a while for our food — delivered by a different waiter. We never saw the first waiter again. It took a long time for the second waiter to refill our waters. The deal I purchased was for $ 25 and our tab was much lower so we asked for the dessert menu. After 10 minutes, I flagged the waiter to ask about the desserts — he said he forgot to ask!!! I asked for two fruit cups to go. After another 10 minutes, he told us they didn’t have any fruit(it was listed on the menu), but they were going to comp us two desserts because it took so long. Finally we get the check and they charged us for the fruit cups anyway! WTH! I questioned it, he babbled on about something that didn’t make sense and I paid it anyway just to get the heck out of there. An hour and 50 minutes for lunch! Thank goodness I have a lenient boss! Now about the food: coworker said her burger was good, it came with a huge amount of fries. I tried the 3 tacos — the Cuban and 2 fish tacos — they were tasty — but the rice was really, really dry(like it was old) and the black beans had no flavor at all. The brownie was very under cooked — like a big blob of fudge — and the sopapilla was charred. The«comp» desserts were inedible! Another disappointing blow! There are TT signs up and down Windward saying«Now Hiring» — I hope they hire some competent staffing soon. Really sad that the place wasn’t that full for them to be so slow and inadequate. I won’t be going back!

If you like itty bitty tacos at an inflated price, this place is for you! When this place first opened, we decided to check it out. I noticed that it was nothing special and that they were selling mini appetizers for the price of full sized items. They looked exactly like the ones that you can buy at Sam’s Club except you can get an entire box for the same price. I nudged my husband and we quietly left. First rule of thumb when dining out, make sure that you are getting what you are paying for and that the price,(not the food), is downsized.

Had lunch here with my normal lunch crew, we were not impressed. The service was ok, but the waiter was difficult to flag down, and was not very attentive. The food lacked effort, it was sloppy and flavorless. I am a pretty adventurous eater but the menu we odd in general, sort of like tin Lizzy’s but not well thought out. They may have been having an off day, but we won’t be going back anytime soon.

First time here, food was ok, service was good(better than what the other reviewers had mentioned), but the restaurant was very tiny and crowded. Felt like they put a restaurant in a take out pizzeria joint. Guacamole was delicious, chips were hot and yummy too. I had a salad and my husband had chicken tacos. He did like them, but felt the same way… meh. Only two small mix ups on the orders — forgot the salad dressing on my salad and my husband ordered refried beans, but they gave him black beans. Maybe not important — but the flatware felt really cheap! For an eat in restaurant it was so lightweight and sharp edges.

I do not recommend Twisted Taco nor will I be returning. I’ve been to the restaurant on over 10 occasions and I really like the Boom Boom tacos. Tonight when I went in I ordered a baja taco and a boom boom taco. Unfortunately, while eating the baja taco I bit down on something hard. Upon inspection I saw that is was a black metal washer! God only knows how it got into my taco. I was irate, my fang tooth on the right side was slightly chipped at the bottom from the impact. I took my plate to the bar told the bartender and another man who I later found out was the manager what happened and I told them I would not be paying for my food and I left. After calming down I called back the restaurant to address the situation. Jason Daniel’s the manager answered the line. I told him I feel an obligation to report the incident to the health dept. He told me had I not walked out he would have had a chance to address what happened. I told him I was irate and so it was better that I calm down vs. going off on his staff. I told him I was calling now somewhat calm and ready to discuss what happened. He was snarky and continued to bring up «If I hadn’t walked out. blah blah blah.» I told him I was calling to resolve the issue all I needed to know is did he talk to his team about what might have happened and what could he do to address what happened. In the end I ended up going back to the restaurant because he was being caddy over the phone. At the restaurant I asked again how was he going to address the situation and he told me I never mentioned a chipped tooth until I called. Not once did the words«I’m sorry about what happened» come out. I lost my temper and began cussing as we were going back and forth about what happened. Instead he kicked me out told me not to return and to go call the health department like I had initially threatened. I stood my ground said my piece and then I left. Mr. Daniel’s handled the incident poorly. In the end he made me feel bad even though I was the one who found a metal object in my food. In the end Mr. Daniel’s wouldn’t let go of the fact that I stormed out of the restaurant and called vs. staying in the restaurant and talking about what happened. In the end he wasn’t out to save me as a customer he just wanted me to be gone. I can’t support a business that treats me the way I was treated tonight and I definitely won’t promote them or encourage anyone else to go. I also can’t let slide that a metal washer was in my food. Accidents happen, but if I call and give you a chance to resolve it and you treat me like shit it means I have to share that with the health department and let them look into it since you didn’t want to have a civil conversation with me. Disgusted and done.

(Review originally written 7÷22÷2013) Just sat down to eat my take out quesadilla… until now, I did not know you could screw up such a simple menu item. Cheese was not melted, it was loaded with an extreme amount of jalapeños but the steak was a rare sight to see. The sour cream I was told would be on the side was missing as was the flavor for this $ 9 disappointment. My friend warned me… I wish I would have listened.

$ 2 draft beer Wednesdays! This alone makes it worth a visit. Food is pretty good as well. Had the 2 taco platter. Had the Tombstone chicken and Cuban tacos, which came with black beans. All very tasty. I asked for some hot salsa and the waitress recommended a thick paste(forgot the name). Very good, makes you sweat without burning your tongue. Food came out in 5 mins, and the sever was pleasant. Did I say $ 2 draft beer on Wednesday’s

I looooooove Twisted Taco. The food is Tex Mex which is my kind of Mexican cuisine :) The servers were very attentive to our table. Also, sitting outside on the upstairs porch is fantastic on a lovely day. Coming back again for sure!

On my visit I came in by myself, which I have done on a couple of occasions, but this time I felt like the proverbial red headed step child. My server, I’ll give her the benefit of a doubt and assume shes new but non the less training has it’s place. Once she took my order she served my food without a word. No upsell… no I’ll get that right up for you… no pleasantries at all… Once my food arrived again I was met with no words. I said thank you and she said nothing so… I said it again and all I got was a forced smile from her. I then noticed I had no Salsa for my chips… no bid deal but she never came back to check on me so I had to ask someone else for it. She finally brought it, but at this point her demeanor made me feel like I did something wrong. Then once I was done she picked up the plate and asked«are you done» as she handed me the check. I would think in your training you would ask the customer if there was anything else you could do or if they would like… fill in the blank Just when I thought it was over I received my change from a $ 20.00 and noticed there was no receipt. I had to find her to get that and once I did I notice she did not give the the coin change of .50 When I told her it was short she said«So you need the .50» I told her it was incorrect and gave her the cash back so she could fiqure it out and to bring me the correct change. She then was going over it and said you need .50 cents right… at this point it was hopeless and I took my change leaving her with a .50 tip. Which I hated, but since T.I.P.S stands for To Insure Proper Service I now thought it appropriate. I’ve been in the food service industry and my wife is a Certified Culinarian. So I know when to cut a server some slack. But, unless she was just having extreme personal issues affecting her demeanor I don’t think serving is for her. All servers should take note on the $ 446.00 Tip left on $ 6 a few days ago.

I agree with the other Unilocaler! It was several minutes for the bartender to come and acknowledged me. Two stars because of the variety of tacos available. But the rice and black beans was a fail. I had the Black & Blue and The Wild Alaskan; they were good. I may not visit again. It was worth trying once for the sundry tacos.
