This is our absolute favorite lunch spot in greater Atlanta! Such an amazing menu! There isn’t a bad choice. Today we got the Shroomie sandwich(AMAZING!), the Grilled Cobia sandwich(AMAZING and so fresh!), tomato basil soup(delish!), and the kids grilled cheese(hidden menu… delish!). For dessert we shared a butterfinger brownie that was to die for! The manager(maybe owner) was super friendly and helpful when trying to decide what to order. We only wish that there were one in Dunwoody as this location is a bit far from us.

I have never posted, but felt inclined. Very disappointed. Love this restaurant. Been here many, many times. I drove 45 minutes to have lunch and was here at 12:45 on a Thursday. When I get up front to order I am told that they are out of their signature chicken salad… As well as their shrimp salad, and salmon. Very disappointed! Unfortunate! Ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Will come back again, just had to voice my disappointment

I’ve been twice after I finally discovered that this was my beloved Portabello’s. I have ordered the rosemary chicken sandwich(first trip) and the fried green tomato BLT and broccoli slaw(on the most recent visit). It is incredible. reminds me of why I used to go to Portabello’s in the old days! It’s a bit pricey for an everyday lunch, but the food is second to none and the portions are generous.

The Sandwich(had to capitalize it because they deserve it) was amazing! The soup was also good and the Brownie(also deserved the capitalization) was to die for. Probably on of the best if not t he best sandwich shops in the local area. The price is a little high but after your first bight you will understand and gladly pay it again when you come back.

My coworker picked up orders for our team and I must say the jalapeño lime chicken breast was divine! I loved everything about it. They forgot to include our pasta salad, which I really didn’t care for and as a result I deducted a star, and we had to go back, but they did give us cookies which were good also. Overall this is a great lunch spot although kind of pricey but definitely worth splurging on.

Just tried Wildflour for the first time. I work out at the gym in the back of the shopping center and have wanted to grab a sandwich. I had tried once before but they were closed due to spring break! So today I decided, I’m going to try that Seinfeld sandwich. I ordered to-go because I didn’t have time for a sit down. I walked in and the line was to the door and only 1 woman using 1 register was manning the counter. I proceeded up to the counter so I didn’t have to wait for her to get through a long line. After she finished with the current customer, she got my order. First off, the sandwich is good. Very good. $ 15 good? Idk if any sandwich is. I’m giving this a 3 star because I found a chicken bone in my sandwich after I took a bite! Ouch! So even though it was good, quality control is important. You can blame the lunch rush but this place only does lunch! Don’t know if I’ll be back…

Don’t pass this place up! Locals and people passing through, you won’t find a better lunch stop. Give the specials a try, they are always great. But they have some great mainstays. The Seinfeld and the chicken salad are two of the best. The baked goods are the best part though. The bread for the sandwiches and all of the desserts are made in house and they are fantastic. My favorite restaurant in Alpharetta by far.

Out of towners just passing through and the hubby says while filling up the gas tank, «Do you wanna just grab a wrap at the drive thru or what’s the plan?» All this fresh Georgia pine scented air must be making him high because he knows full well I have some hard and fast rules about drive thru’s, eating in the car, and wraps. Quick survey of our go to foodie app and Wildflour fits the need perfectly. The buzz during lunch is electric! The hubby quickly decides on the Shroomie, which I was already maneuvering how I would get a bite. Hands down the best juicy, flavor packed mushroom one bite of shroomie goodness I have ever experienced. Clearly my man was going to be stingy about sharing anything greater than one bite. My decision was rough as I was torn between land and sea. Salmon with horseradish or Lamb steak with cheese and peppers? Following a quick chat with hostess about the salmon always being on the menu(hopeful of my return to this area someday) and the Lamb special being an outstanding tender, flavor punch between veggies and meat, I went with the lamb. The sauce was full of creamy cucumber and the Lamb was tender as was the bread that the lamb, peppers, arugula, cheese and sauce were nestled in. I am grateful for a chef that knows how to use cabbage and broccoli and herbs appropriately in broccoli slaw. Well done Wildflour! The hubby was supremely satisfied and will hopefully refrain from questioning my hard and fast foodie travel rules.

Update Review 3÷23÷2016: I believe that most people deserve a 2nd chance. Within 24 hours of my 3⁄16 review, I received a call that the owner, Michael, had seen my review and through a friend of a friend got a hold of me and wanted to offer his apology for the bad customer experience that we received. We were invited back to give him and Wildflour another chance. We gladly gave it today, and I’m happy to report that the service was spot on. Michael warmly greeted us before we even introduced ourselves. He gave us detailed descriptions of the specials and offer his apology for the poor service that we received a week ago. Just like the 1st time, the food was amazing and freshly cooked. 3 of my friends ordered the grilled cobia sandwich that came with a spicy spread, lettuce and tomatoes. Everyone reported the fish was buttery & nicely grilled. My friend even got her sauce on the side :-) We also had the tomato bisque, and it was delicious. Michael also brought out a pasta side dish for us to try. It was chockfull of cucumber, arugula in a creamy lemony dressing. It was unusual but quite good. I ordered a chicken curry dish. It was served over jasmine rice. The spicy curry sauce had chucks of chicken, onions, various vegetables and had a nice kick from the habanero. Slices of avocado brought creaminess to the dish and toned down the heat nicely. It was an absolutely divine dish that I would definitely order again. And as dessert girl, I was very happy that the owner offered us desserts. I had a sweet potato cookie with almonds and a friend got a brownie. Both desserts were devoured. I just want give a big THANKYOU to Michael for letting his customers know that we matter and to make right what went wrong for us. I will definitely be back and bringing more friends along to check out this place. — Que **************************** 3÷16÷2016: I have never given a 1 star review until today, and at a place where I thought would be a new favorite and here’s why. 6 of us came here for lunch yesterday to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We work just around the corner from this restaurant. I ordered the birthday girl and myself a lamb sandwich($ 14) and a side soup which has $ 1 upcharge & a grouper and shrimp po boy($ 14) & side soup($ 1 upcharge). The bill was over $ 32 plus tips so $ 39. Not a cheap lunch for 2. When the food arrived, the soup was tasty but lukewarm. I took the soups back to the ordering counter and asked if the kitchen could reheat the soups. When the order taker brought it back he couldn’t remember which was which. Good thing neither of us was sick so we didn’t mind if the cups were swapped. One of our friends ordered a po boy but asked that the sauce be served on the side. When her sandwich came out, there was no sauce on the side. We saw a man wearing an apron talking to customers in line so we assumed that he is the owner. She asked him if she could please have some sauce on the side, and to which he replied, «We are busy & we are streamlining the process so we can’t fulfill every request!». And with that he walked off. So let’s see, the cook can fulfill my friend’s request to not put the sauce on her sandwich, but it’s a big ordeal to put that sauce into a ramekin and put on her plate? Since the owner is just standing around talking to customers, he couldn’t accommodate walking 15 feet into the kitchen to get a ramekin of sauce for a customer? The attitude was shocking. At the end of the meal, I noticed that there was a plate of sample cookies at the ordering counter. By the time I went up there they were all gone. The young man behind the counter was about to check to see if there was any more when this rude owner walked up and asked me what I needed. When I said, I was wondering if there was any more samples and as a dessert girl, I would love to try some. His reply? «We don’t have any more. We’re done!» To which I replied, «So am I!» The young man behind the counter was nice. The food runner was nice. But there are way too many restaurants in the area to spend my money than going to a place where we were rudely treated. This owner doesn’t know anything about customer service, and I plan to spread the words.

A bit pricy, but really, really good. Portions were large and well presented. I had the chicken salad with broccoli cole slaw. Wow! The chicken salad was chunky and delicious and the bread was warm and tasty. And the broccoli cole slaw was creamy with apples and bleu cheese. A.MA.ZING!!! I’ll come back next time I’m up here…

It was my first time here. They have a great variety of gourmet sandwhiches. I got a grilled salmon. No sides or anything because I put it on top some veggies I brought to work from home. It was one of the best smoked salmons I ever had. It had just the right amount of smoke not over powering the fish. The salmon was super moist, super flavorful and a la carte only $ 6.00 and some change. I might be ordering this a few times a week. You MUST try it!

Excellent crafted sandwiches, salads, soups, and just everything. Very flavorful items. Though the specials are always worth a try — ranging from steak sandwiches, BBQ, to fish sandwiches — the Seinfeld(with your choice of chicken, turkey, or pork for the meat) is a regular item that is a definite must at least once. For sides, the pasta salad and the tomato basil soup are our favorite. But potato salad and broccoli slaw also won’t disappoint. For dessert, they have some Taste of Alpharetta award winning cookies, but we always go for the butterfinger brownies ourselves. If you’re a sandwich person, this place is 100% for you! This is our favorite sandwich place around and you cannot go wrong!

Ok. So the sandwiches are good. Really good. $ 12 good. Top quality ingredients, creatively assembled, nicely presented. Why am I so ambivalent about Wildflour? Well, the surroundings are, shall we say, not to the standard of the food. Chairs and benches that are not particularly comfortable, especially those our front on the sidewalk. The walls are shabbily and carelessly painted. Maybe it’s a look? I get that the food is the focus at Wildflour, but when I shell out nearly $ 20 for lunch I could think of many other places where the overall experience is better. Food better? Probably not. The experience. Yes. With that being said the chef does some amazing things in the back. The star is The Seinfeld consisting of perfectly seasoned, grilled and sliced chicken with sauteed button mushrooms, cheese, leaf lettuce and a special«sage» sauce. The short hoagie-style roll is crusty good, too. Clearly there is creativity, deliciousness and passion in this creation. Tomato/basil soup — the creamy variety — is very good, if not too salty for some. Drinks are fountain style, and the tea is proper in both home made sweet and unsweet. Monster lemon sliced are in the crock pot(?). It’s understandable why Wildflour is so popular. Exceptional quality, expertly executed. I just wish the owner would put some money into the ambiance, too. Then the Wildflour experience would be as good as the food.

They do not skimp on their sandwiches! The owner Mike is a man of the people, out talking to people in line, helping us find the best seats, he loves talking about his sandwiches, and I love hearing about them. I did a 50⁄50 split with my wife, half a Seinfeld and half a Chicken Salad Sand. Both were amazing, but I think I preferred the Seinfeld — the cheese and sauce put it over the top. It was packed and I’m glad. It’s good to see great places like this succeeding. I’ll def be back for more sandwiches soon.

Hands down the best place for lunch in Alpharetta. Today I went with the Turkey Avocado Wrap and the Tomato Basil Soup. As my mom would say, good gracious. The soup is like being transported to home as a child. The wrap is gigantic but light and filling at the same time. The force is strong with this place. I will continue to come back for as long as I do business in Alpharetta. That’s my word and I’m sticking to it.

This is probably the best sandwich shop I’ve ever been to. I was greeted by the owner, Mike, as I was looking over at the chalkboard menu on the wall. Great guy. He gave me a rundown of all the sandwiches and you could tell that he took a lot of pride in what he was serving Each sandwich is $ 12. I know… sounds like a lot but it includes a side and a fountain drink. And from his descriptions of the sandwiches, he doesn’t use cheap ingredients. I mean the salmon he uses are farm-raised vegans! On the menu you’ll find both hot and cold sandwiches. I ordered the day’s special which was a lightly fried flounder. It was absolutely amazing. The breading was very well seasoned, and it was fried perfectly. The meat was tender and juicy. The jalapeño sauce was great. The tomatoes were super fresh. And the best part… his homemade bread. Best way I can describe it is a honey wheat bread. It was warm and soft and it just melted in my mouth. Mike was telling me he started off as a baker, and yada yada… sandwich shop. So yeah… bread was amazing. I got the pasta salad for my side and it was also really good. Whole wheat bow-tie noodles with broccoli and tomatoes tossed in a Italian based dressing. Sides do change on a daily basis, but there’s also tomato bisque and chips to chose from the day I was there. I’m too weak to resist any sweets, so I had to try the pumpkin cinnamon roll. Very good. If you like pumpkin flavored food then I highly recommend getting one. Mike really has some skills when it comes to baking. They also have salads. I saw one person get a salmon salad and it was HUGE. You get a nice sized piece of salmon.

This is such an adorable café! Thanks to my lovely friend Kelly M., I was able to have a fantastic lunch here! The bread here is AMAZING! I’m not really into carbs or crave them but I could easily eat an entire loaf of their freshly baked bread without a problem. I ordered the Seinfeld with meatloaf. It was better than I anticipated yet fully satisfying! YUM! The pictures definitely do the sandwich justice & their tomato basil soup is my new favorite now. It was so creamy and had the best seasoning I’ve tasted in a long time. I would drive to Alpharetta just for a large bowl of this soup! It was THAT good. There is patio seating outside the café & plenty inside. You will not be disappointed when you visit this place for the first time or I’m guessing 5th time. We got a chance to briefly meet with the owner & can definitely tell he cares about the quality of all of his baked goods/menu items. Looking forward to introducing other friends to this lovely café even if it’s located OTP. It’s definitely worth the drive, you ITPers! :) Thanks again Kelly M. for a great lunch!
