CASHONLY — its a mom and pop place so quit crying and have 5 bucks on you already The donuts are great, the selection is great and the owner and very nice. Im in there at least once a month and never had them be rude to me, but then I dont need to be treated like the queen of sheba to get a donut. Bacon Donuts = mic drop

Not the friendliest service… I greeted the owner and not even a smile or hello back. That’s no bueno. Well only reason I decided to stay and try is because of the rows of enticing bacon donuts on the top shelf and they happened to be freshly made! I decided to order the maple one since that’s my favorite flavor. Oh boy was this thing fluffy and fresh! Super flavroful… the bacon bits were the right amount of soft and crisp. I will be coming back tp grab another before I head outta town. Hopefully the owner is in a better mood tomorrow…

I used to love coming here as a kid with my dad, so when I had to head out early one day, I thought it’d be a nice place to grab some breakfast on the go. We get in there and look at their donut selection, which is pretty big, for a couple minutes before the owner comes out and says, «what do you want?» Straight and to the point, I guess? We pick out 2 donuts, a cake donut with sprinkles and a crumb cinnamon roll. The owner seemed agitated and just plain unfriendly from greeting to sale. I was taking out my cash, which is behind my credit card, didn’t even attempt to hand the credit card to him and he promptly said sternly, «Only cash!» I said, «I know,» and gave him the cash I had intended on using in the first place, but now with less desire to tip. And to top it off, the donuts were just mediocre. Normal donuts, normal price, unfriendly service.

I love this place and the donuts. The donuts are so good. My favorites are the apple fritter, and it was so good. The bavarian crème chocolate are really good.

convenient donut store within walking distance from hotel I was staying in. All donut stores have a unique character about them and this one is no different. Stopped in early was rewarded with fresh tasty product, plus there was some random guy playing his guitar outside. Overall a better option than the hotel breakfast. Employee was nice too.

By far the best donuts ever! The service is fast and they are super affordable. The only thing that would make them better is if they started making cronuts!!! Until then, I’ll stick with my chocolate twist, old fashion, and buttermilk. Seriously, if I could give them 20 stars, I would! Forget Krispy Kreme… this is a real donut! Oh, and is you want an awesome treat that will feed at least 6 people, try the Alpine donut! I think I want one of those instead of a birthday cake next year!

This is a very nice doughnut shop with some really nice people. I stopped in for an old fashion chocolate covered doughnut, but I quickly realized that they also carried doughnut with bacon on top too.( ) I did not go that route this time and stuck to my old fashion doughnut for .85 cents. Habit… The doughnut was really good, and one of the reasons I like these type of donuts, is that they have a crunchy exterior, but firm moist center.( ) The doughnut had a great thick covering of milky chocolate.( ) I liked it. The employees are awesome here and spunky. Spunky I like… also, they only accept cash, so break the piggy bank!

If you’re in Alpine and craving donuts, this is your only option. Fortunately, the«only option» has some pretty good donuts. They have a good selection of donuts and croissants. My favorite items are the apple fritter, chocolate raised, sugar raised and their«Alpine Donut». I’ve gotten the Alpine Donut a couple of times now and it’s always fresh and just the right amount of «doughy». I also like that they’re open much later than most mom-and-pop donut shops that generally close in the early afternoon Just know it’s a cash-only establishment.

WOW! I’m suprised all of the foodies aren’t flocking to this place! Where’s Food Network?! I feel sorry for those people who wrote reviews before who had donuts after lunch and felt they were stale. The reason being that, around 1:30pm, I had THEWORLD’s BEST Cinnamon Crunch Raised Donut! It was fresh and not toothachingly(is that a word?) sweet that I felt like I was going to get a tummy ache if I finished the whole thing — which my taste buds really wanted me to do! It was like a Cinnamon Roll and a Raised Donut had a baby — YUMMM! My husband opted for the Chocolate Glazed version and raved equally as much. Note to those getting in their cars now: As others mentioned, bring CASH! But, if you make something this scrumptious, you should be allowed to make a few of your own rules and keep them without people pouting. They should be happy they’re getting such a tasty treat!

I wish I lived 9 hours closer to this place. I went in there when I was staying at a hotel down the way for my cousins wedding. This place has the freshest doughnuts and I love the elderly people that hang out inside.

Omg the donuts here are fresh & tasty! I bought a raspberry pastry and glazed donut. I’m a big fan of desserts and I’ll try to come in once in awhile. It’s just unfortunate that pastry’s can be considered poor dieting for some people … Like me! Lol

I had to do some work at my parents house in Alpine, it was early in the morning and had to stop and get a few doughnuts for my Grandpa and I. Can’t work on an empty stomach. Well once I tasted the soft moist fluffy tasty chocolatey old fashioned doughnut I was impressed. I’m a doughnut connoisseur and will eat a doughnut no matter what time it is. Needless to say, every time I go to my parents house I stop by to get at least one doughnut The following is on a 10 point scale. 1 being the poorest and 10 being the best! Food = 9 Service = 10 Location = 9(Right off the Freeway, but miles and miles from Mission Valley) Parking = 9(Pretty big lot, somewhat empty in the morning, not to bad during lunch time.
