Alsip’s Park District offers a lot of classes and things for younger kids to do like crafts, day camp, gymnastics, etc. They also offer teen and adult classes like ballroom/salsa dancing, music lessons, etc. Alsip’s actual parks have drastically improved in the last few years. Sears Park(on the south side of 123rd b/t Pulaski and Kedzie) was recently redone with a lighted walking path(unfortunately it isn’t a full mile) and all new playground and workout equipment and it looks great! Sears park is also the home field of the Alsip Falcons(youth football & cheerleading), so I’m sure it will get put to good use. However, I’ve only visited Sears Park twice, seeing as how NONE of Alsip’s parks are dog friendly, we generally choose to go Mount Greenwood Park(where the people are friendlier there too).
