First time stopping here today. and LAST. Guy who took my order was friendly… I ordered 3 tacos… Steak, Al Pastor and Chicken… to go… While I was waiting I noticed another person(Hispanic) waiting for an order… when it was ready, the waitress walked from behind the counter to personally hand it to the customer… When MINE was ready… she signaled to me(I was sitting where the previous customer was) to come to the counter and get my order… hmmm…cuz I’m a «Gringo» perhaps? Get to the car to eat and all 3 were wrapped together and not separately. causing sloppy spill over and the steam created making the tortillas to stick together. Steak was so so… Al Pastor SUCKED… more FAT than bits of pork Chicken wasn’t marinated kinda dry and seemed to be mixed with dark meat 3 tacos cost me $ 8.thats almost $ 2 higher than other much better places… Its too bad since its nice inside…

Going to Burrito Jalisco is really a mixed bag. When my wife and I went a handful of times we had some occasions where we enjoyed ourselves and at other times it was just bad. Just like any other restaurant Burrito Jalisco has its pros and cons but like few other restaurants your experience at any time can be skewed a lot in one of those directions. Just Beware. The Pros: ~ LOVE the mariachi band and their music. it was very nice to hear and see them play. ~ Customer service was prompt. They greeted us with a smile and made us fell welcomed. ~ Authentic food with decent portions The Cons: ~ Chips and salsa was weak. No kick, no outstanding flavor. Feels like ketchup with some wilted veggies thrown together in a blender and blended for 5 seconds Just weak. ~ Manager usually runs a tight ship, but once the place gets busier it becomes harder to get refills or if you come in during the busy rush you might be waiting for a little bit. The warm hospitality goes away and seems everybody becomes rushed. ~ A couple times when we heard a lot of aggressive yelling in the kitchen. Some people’s order was cold and the owner then ripped on the chef. Not cool in my books. All in all this place can be great or not.

Raised in Alsip from 1989 til 2000, returned yrs later as an adult resident and never protronized the Restaurant, it always looked appealing from yrs passing. Decided to google their menu from home today and visit in person today. When I arrived I sat at the Bartop next to another customer who was enjoying a alcoholic beverage and we both looked on as the two male server behind bar carried on. The many things that turn me off was the lack of a welcome or even acknowledgement of me at the Bartop as a paying customer, not a «Hi or Hello» no welcome, not even a «please hold, be right with you» The shorter more feminine male Bartender or Server with hoop earrings walked away from me, didn’t offer me a menu or a beverage. I proceeded to the counter or POS station to request a menu for carry out and rudely was looked down upon it seemed… Strange. I was considering the skirt steak, but decided on another dish. Nevertheless, I will probably never visit this place again and Will spread the word to my surrounding neighbors. I didn’t feel welcomed and I asked for a glass of water while I awaited my carry out, that I was actually going to have as a dine in until I was treated very poorly. Would it be too much to ask for a smiling greet and politeness and just a simple acknowledgment. If these folks are jaded or unhappy in work or life, please do us all a favor and find work that isnt dealing with the public in hospitality, because hospitable is the furthest thing that I experienced from Burrito Jalisco in Alsip, IL hospitable is the furthest thing that I experience from Burrito Jalisco today!!! Saddens me and makes me feel worst leaving then when I arrived. Should be ashamed of yourselves 01÷22÷16 @ 1:00PM

Food is delicious. Meat quality is Good. Service is Good especially from Juan. He made some excellent suggestions with our order. They also serve alcohol. On sundays they have a Mariachi band playing. The restaurant has a look like an old diner not run down or nothing bad it just looks like if it was a Diner years ago.

I’m not big on Mexican food. My fiancé loves it so every once in a while, I give in and let him pick a place. We came on a Sunday and I was excited that almost all tables were full and they had a mariachi band to play music. How fun! We both got the Burrito Suizo platter and loved our food. Service was okay as the food came quickly but we waited some time to get the check and leave. Overall, I’d love to come back and try a margarita. Complimentary chips and salsa was good but I didn’t like the chips as much as other places.

If love could be given to you in the form of a taco this place would be the place to give it to you. The chicken tacos is a smack of deliciousness in yo face! The tacos are simple in ingredients but awesome in flavor. If you love good service and yummy food then this is the place to go, it may seem like a hole in the wall type of restaurant but looks are deceiving. This is taco heaven and i highly recommend it.

went in and was seated promptly. drink order was taken and brought out right away… and then, we got left there as customer after customer came in, ordered and ate. maybe it was a fluke and never happens any other time but, sitting there for over 30 minutes watching ppl that came in AFTER me has solidified my never going back there.

If you base the experience on friendliness, than the rating would be a 5, however we were there for food and it just didn’t appeal to either of us. The place was packed and so I thought it had to be spectacular but that was not the case. The nacho appetizer was so unappealing that we couldn’t and wouldn’t try anything else. I really wanted this to be a great experience but it is a no for me. and the parking… well just wonder if anyone thought to look at the design.

I came here ince and Im hooked. I pretty much have simple tastes so I usually order the same thing but after having the taco lunch here(which was excellent), I’ve had to try other meals and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The food is really good here.

By far the best Mexican food restaurant in the area. I go there atleast once a week and they have margerita specials on Mondays. As far as price goes it’s average for the area and same goes for liquor.

Finally tried this place after passing it over for being attached to a gas station(which is no longer there). The food is wonderful and the service is fantastic! When they offer spicy they are NOT kidding! Their Mexican style guacamole was toe curling but amazing and the taco’s were great also. Tried the house margarita and wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely be back!

Tonight I drove to Burrito Jalisco with some hesitation after reading several recent mixed reviews — but the service was excellent(in spite of the fact the place was packed!) and the carne apache plate was hot and delicious! The price was very reasonable. I’d go back there again in a heartbeat!

Love their Carne Asada! Always a huge portion; enough to take home for snacks the next day. They have great service and the price is excellent too. Don’t let the gas station neighbor throw you off; this is excellent food.

Very good home made food. Everything is very authentic and tastes amazing. This place is always packed though so be prepared, but that obviously means the food is yummy!

Man, I am about six years late writing this review. Take heed, this review will be a compilation of two dozen experiences! We have had some really great times, and some really mediocre times. In my opinion, the manager has things on point, but sometimes they get so busy that things seem to slip. Mainly, this has to do with the food quality. When things are really busy, or really slow, we tend to get some stinkers. One of my favorite things to get here is the torta vallarta. It is unique and spicy and hits the spot! Their giant margaritas are pretty neat as well. My wife gets mostly veggie dishes from here, and sometimes we run into problems. The biggest problem was a takeout order which was supposed to have vegetarian enchiladas(just cheese ;) We get it home, unpack everything, and they were loaded up with chicken. The manager was cool as heck, but we had to go all the way back over the bridge to get the new order. They confirmed that the receipt had it as no meat, but the chef felt it would not be great without chicken! ;) So they swapped them out, and even let us keep the chicken ones(so I could eat em later!) They did right by us, but it was an extra time consuming and left me eating a cold dinner once we got home. Either way, this place is a solid three stars… I would almost give it five if it were more consistent!

The Good– Service was fantastic. Happily greeted by smiling faces dressed like they’re going to a wedding. The inside has a 50’s-ish diner feel which is fun for being a Mexican food restaurant. Prices are fairly reasonable and the portions are decent. The Bad– Our food came out cold, specifically the carne asada. Straight from the refrigerator, disgusting. There’s 4 other couples in the whole place, all had their food. Why is my food cold? It took awhile to get the first time, so I was pretty upset about sending it back. Manager came over and took the plates, yelled at the cook and apologized to us. The Ugly– I don’t want to hear you yelling at your kitchen staff. I also wish the kitchen served hot food so. Then the worst, they didn’t even remake our food. Popped it in the microwave crema, lettuce, tomatoes and all. So then the owner comes over and tried to win us over with free drinks and another plate at 50% off. Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t even want your tequila and that says a lot.
