This place is quirky but good. We always laugh about the Celtic harps engraved in the windows; clearly this has not always been a Mexican restaurant! Nonetheless, it’s one of the better options for dining out in this area. I love the vegetarian enchiladas with salsa verde. The flavors are fresh and complex, and the texture’s also quite nice, with a sprinkle of frisee on top. Tasty margaritas, too!

Went here on 3÷11÷16 with a friend. Ample parking which included handicapped spaces right by the entrance. Walked in and was surprised at how big the place is inside. We were greeted and seated. They accommodated me when I asked for a bigger table. This was a unique experience here(disclaimer). A woman came and put nachos and salsa on the table but didn’t speak. A waiter came to take our order. We ordered drinks in which mine was the piña colada. I am a soft, social drinker. When he brought the drink, it tasted like no alcohol was in it which I told him. He told me when I would drink more from the glass, he’d fix it. How did he fix it you ask? He brought the bottle of white rum to the table and poured alot of it into my drink. Not classy plus the addition of rum made it now watery and still wasn’t helping so the problem must of been it being a cheaper version of white rum. We ordered our food and I kid you not, 5 minutes later our food came. Was shocked it was ready so fast, but glad as I was hungry. I enjoyed my dinner but I have had much better mexican food that tasted truly authentic. The nachos given when we sat down were hard and to me, seemed overcooked. The salsa was delicious. The place inside was large as previously stated but I didn’t get that warm, comfy feel. We got the check and both of us were shocked when we saw they charged us $ 1.50 for sour cream. When we originally asked a waitress nearby for it, she didn’t say anything but just walked away and then I see the charge on my bill? Unacceptable and by the way, why so much for some sour cream? That sealed the deal for me not wanting to come back. One particular woman I had wished was my waitress. She was friendly, had a nice smile on her face and came over to check on us but wasn’t our waitperson.(sigh) Next!

Good food but pricey. Well run with a nice atmosphere. Probably the best sit down Mexican place in the general area.

This place is great. Big. And great food. We go there so often that the waitstaff doesn’t even come to the table right away to take our drink order or our kids order. They just put it in, along with our App order. I’ve never been disappointed here. Its kid friendly, lots of tv’s if you’re looking for that kind of a thing. The carne asada is the best I have had anywhere. The steak tacos are the best, shrimp tacos are real deal. The Mocajete is unreal, but too spicy for me now-a-days. Give this spot a try, it’s real Mexican food. without a side of french fries…

Genuinely enjoyed dinner at Las Fuentes. My first time there was a few years ago for my 21st birthday. They went out of their way to make me feel special, and gave my entire table(almost 10 of us) shots of patron on the house for my birthday. That was great service, and tonight I came back(haven’t been there since my birthday) and was blown away again. They were very attentive, the owner came by and asked how everything was and thanked us for coming. Our waiter Carlos was great. They brought us complimentary dessert(a yummy flan— and I don’t eat flan!!! Well now I do) and as my friend and I were leaving, the owner thanked us and said the next time we were in we could have a margarita on the house. He promised. Over all, it confirmed me to me that despite the large variety of Mexican restaurants around my area, I should be going to Las Fuentes more often… Thank you Las Fuentes! My only critique is a little bit more tequila in the margarita!

Overpriced for the quality of food. Decent inside, but definitely would not go for carry out.

Went to Las Fuentes in alsip tonight for dinner. While the food was OK the service was awful. After we were seated the waiter came over and asked if we wanted drinks. My wife and daughter ordered soft drinks while I said I would wait. After he brought the drinks we asked for some mild salsa and he said he would some right away. After about 10 minutes we asked another person for the salsa. After another 10 minutes we asked our waiter again and he finally brought some. After he brought our food we did not see him again until he brought the bill. Not once did he check back to see if we needed anything or if we liked our food. We also asked other servers for stuff and we were basically ignored. Considering the were not that crowded we thought they could have been more attentive to our request. Needless to say we will not be going back.

Food at Las Fuentes wasn’t the best in the world but was satisfactory. Tortilla chips were sub par. But service was on the up and up

$ 15 for a steak burrito and 7.50 for a cheese quesadilla is ridiculous. This place is way over priced. The food was ok. At that price point I should of been blown away. Won’t be back.

My friends & I had dinner at La Fuentes Saturday 12⁄26. We purchased the dinner/show package for $ 35 for riddles comedy club. The food was absolutey delicious! I had chicken & steak fajitas. Prices were reasonable, atmosphere was nice & casual, service was great! I can’t wait to go back!

Went here a week ago. Vile. Table was sticky and nasty. When I asked them to clean it they brought over a dirty rag, and wiped it down. I ended up having to clean it myself. The chips were stale and the drinks were nasty. Won’t be back.

Lunch Menu is extensive, the atmosphere is always nice and so is the staff. I recommend the Steak Burritos Suizos on the lunch menu. I like the salsa just the right amount of kick(spice). Margarita(Las Fuentes) are great and refreshing on a hot afternoon.

I have driven by many times, and it always looks busy, but I have never stopped until today. I love Mexican food, especially tacos, and this looked like a good place to get them. I’ll start with the service. Our waitress was friendly, and was quick to get our drinks, take our order, and bring our food, however she didn’t stop back to check on us until I had finished eating. Next, and a big no no to me is they don’t offer free soft drink refills because they sell only cans of pop at a jaw dropping $ 1.50 each. Now for the food. The food was good, but there was no choice between corn or flour tortilla, and the tortillas were the smallest I have ever seen. Bottom line is there are better places in the area like LA Fiesta on 111th street

Had a awesome time with my friend the food was good. We had margaritas and they were really good. Our waitress Alicia was very attentive and knew the menu very well and made our night great. My friend said the chicken tacos needed more seasoning but besides that we will be back!

Great place for a get together or a date. Food is excellent! The place is very clean and nicely decorated. This will be a regular stop for a special time. The manager and waitress are both bilingual, which is great for this coconut. I look like I should speak Spanish but don’t. The waitress was attentive. It’s a shame this location isn’t better. If you want a place to go for a nice time that won’t break the bank, this is it.

I had a taco meal with a side of guacamole and chips and beans and rice. The meal was good. The star was the margarita. It was well made. The service was good and the prices are reasonable. I get my hair done several doors down so I’m sure I’ll return.

I met a friend at Las Fuentes for a late lunch and margaritas. The regular on the rocks with salt was DELICIOUS – tart, but not too tart. The guacamole was delightful – not too much cilantro and nice chunks of avocado and tomato. I really liked the menu – it had a nice mix of what Americans like to see on menus(like combination plates) and more authentic specialty dishes, like tinga and chiles rellenos. I ordered tamales off the lunch specials menu. They were served with green sauce and chihuahua cheese in a corn husk, and they were really good, although the edges were a bit dry(it was late in the afternoon, though, so I can’t be too upset). I was pleased with the service, too, and would be happy to go back anytime. I assume they’ve improved their game since the other reviewers were in.
