Best pizza in Rancho! The cheese to sauce ratio is perfect. Crust is good as well. The only negative is that Sal’s is cash only.

This is the Best pizza I have ever had. I have been eating Sals for years and have yet to find a pizza to beat the taste of Sals

Still super good. Fresh Sal’s special can’t be beat. If you are in the area you have to get one. Still cash only open 4 to 9. Worth it.

We get a pizza from Sal’s about 5 or 6 times a year – always good! The shopping center they’re in put up some new construction and the businesses now have NOSIGNAGE to tell that they are there. But it’s worth looking for, trust me. The toppings and cheese are plentiful and the crust is good, too(I usually don’t eat the crust on pizza). My only complaint would be that sometimes the pies are a bit over cooked so the pepperoni gets crunchy and the bottom of the pizza can be pretty dark. BUT– a while back when I called to order, the girl told me to ask for«light baked». We have the past 2 times and pizza was PERFECT! Also, the ravioli is a good deal, 8 pieces in a VERY good meat sauce for under 6 bucks. For those who give fewer stars because of cash only policy, how hard is it really to have a 20 dollar bill or 2 with you? Sal’s is the best pizza around, try it!

I seriously don’t understand how anyone can complain about this place, unless it’s about the limited hours or cash only policy. Crust is delicious and I usually don’t eat crust. They don’t over do the sauce and toppings are hella generous(I mean, look at the pictures!). I suspect anyone giving them a bad rating actually works for another pizzera. This is my go to place when I’m not low on cash. Sure it’s more expensive than Papa John’s…and it TASTES like it. If you want good pizza, come here. If you want cheap pizza, go to TJs, Domino’s etc. And while I love Petrelli’s in Upland, I will never get over them overcharging for toppings(ie a half pepperoni/half sausage gets charged as a TWO topping pizza.) Plus, they’re further away and the guy on the register always acts pissed off.

The pizza is a bit more pricey than I’m used to but it is definitely worth the money. You can tell target use quality ingredients and that they have heir own unique style. It’s also always cool that u get a coupon for your next order on every order. Set a must try. I would give this place a 5 star but a 5 start review for me is like a Bigfoot… It’s a rare sighting. ;)

Sal’s Pizza is the shit! Nothing compares to their Pies. We recently moved to Fontana so it’s a longer drive but when ever we’re having pizza it’s definitely worth the drive. Thanks Sal’s Pizza for always coming thru on delish Pies.

Defiantly the best pizza in Rancho Cucamonga. And I consider myself a pizza snob. I’ve also tried their salad and wings. The salad was pretty good and the wings were just ok. Customer service has always been good and I’ve ordered from there quite a few times already. Just make sure you have cash or check because they do not take cards.

First time here. Pizza taste alright(Sals special). Was Luke warm when I picked it up. They only take check or cash. No sign indicating their business. So I drove @ the parking lot got a bit. They should mention that over the phone. Wasn’t as good as I hoped. Not really a place that I’d be excited to go back to.

We’ve been searching for the best pizza since moving to this area. We found it in Sal’s Pizza. I love it because it is consistent & the way the pepperoni is slightly burnt on the edges. We only wish they had a larger dining room so we could sit & enjoy the pizza there.

An excellent slice of pizza and beer in the afternoon. I recommend that you have any toppings as they are all fresh and tasty. Well worth the time and price.

As I sit here and write a review about a pizza pie, it can be subjective as to who has a better pie. First off, if you’re seeking a fast food chain that sells large volume’s of pizza with a $ 5.00 window advert or if you’re wanting to compare a conglomerate Pizza chain to Sal’s, don’t bother. What I do know is that you will get a poor quality pizza from that storefront advertising a $ 5.00 pizza with the cheapest ingredients on earth. You won’t find a cheese filled crust or a ¾″ thick crust pizza loaded with butter and oily toppings that you need to wipe down with a kitchen paper towel off before you consume. With that being said, I think the few negative reviews found here are from patrons that are accustomed to consuming a lower quality made pizza and compare Sal’s to the two scenario’s I mentioned earlier. Sal’s Pizza is a neighborhood staple landmark in Alta Loma serving the communities of Upland and Rancho Cucamonga and anyone else who knows of this quiet hidden gem. I don’t claim Sal’s as the best but I do have to give props to ownership who are in the trenches and making sure a quality pizza is being made accordingly to customer satisfaction. I’ve lived in the area now for 8 years and I don’t qualify to be addressed by my first name, yet. Sal’s recognizes it’s true valued customers and it appears a few generations have crossed the threshold over the decades starting in 1979 when gasoline was clearly under a buck and President Jimmy Carter was in the oval office. My overall impression of Sal’s is definitely a hidden gem in a quiet city that stands above the rest locally. We’re not too heavy on eating pizza repeatedly but we do tend to keep it basic with regular toppings using pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeño’s, olives, mushrooms or just plain. Thin crust is fresh and low in sodium and salt. As you start to eat away at thin crust, it’s solid with no air pockets and not chewy but wholesome fresh. The quality of toppings are also of higher standard and it’s evident with the 1/32″ slices of pepperoni boasting a zesty and pepperish flavor that sends a direct vibrant taste to your pallet. The house made marinara sauce has a dark taste with secret spices and a hint of roasted tomatoes plus you know it’s simmered to perfection. It’s the only red sauce that doesn’t give me heartburn. FYI — I typically order a small pizza with olive oil in lieu of red or white sauce with my favorite toppings. A simple storefront that recently got a exterior facelift from the property owner. Honestly the outside signage is missing but who really needs to know, it’s all about word of mouth and repeat customers that keep Sal’s open for business. The front counter is up front and you have a direct view of the assembly line and commercial grade double stack ovens. It’s clearly and recognizable that nothing is hidden from the customer, everything is direct sight. Back to basics at Sal’s and I’ll tell you why, here is what the menu offers. Pizza: small plain, $ 9.00 med plain, $ 11.25 lg plain, $ 14.50 and xl plain, $ 18.00 plus toppings — Thin crust. — in house marinara sauce and the only sauce. — pepperoni, pineapple, jalapenos, onions, mushrooms, olives, bacon, ham, green peppers and sausage and real mozzarella cheese less the unwanted grease. Sides: — Chicken wings — Spaghetti with meat sauce — Cheese Ravioli — Green House salad — Garlic bread Beverages: –cold 12oz cans of soda and six packs for that added savings. –no fountain drinks Services: NODINEIN Take out and delivery for a nominal fee of $ 3.00 Payment: Strictly cash and personal check, no credit cards at this establishment. Take out or delivery only. Make sure you have cash because they do not take debit or credit which is ridiculous. No complaints about the pizza… It was very good.

Definitely did NOT impress! Customer service. … blah Pizza. … just not good. Crust was not good, sauce had no flavor, toppings were boring! 16″ 1 topping =$ 16.25 I will stick with Petrillis, in upland

Had their pizza back in high school and meaning to try it but always forget. Finally ordered one today and it was so good. Perfect amount of cheese and toppings. Not too much sauce. I definitely will go back again.

I am PICKYPICKYPICKY when it comes to pizza. Its a rare day when I come across a pizza place that makes good pizza which is probably why I had been eating strictly Petrilli’s in Upland for so long. We moved to Rancho more than 6 months ago and I wanted to find a new place, closer to home. THISISIT! It was not too greasy. The toppings were generous, but not so heavy you need a fork to eat a piece and the prices are totally reasonable! This is a no frills joint. You pick up or have it delivered. When you walk in, you see two benches, a cooler of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Arrowhead Water and then you can see into the kitchen over the counter. That’s it! Great pizza and we will be back !!

~*500TH Review*~ Okay, I admit it… I’m a total Pizza Snob. I don’t eat pizza too often, but when I do, it HAS to be good. Otherwise, it’s not worth the calories and my hard workout the next day! My husband and I have had Sal’s Pizza bookmarked for a few months now, and never had the chance to try it until last Friday. My husband texted me saying that he’s bringing dinner home and when he arrived, he had a large pizza from Sal’s! Note that Sal’s Pizza is TAKEOUT or DELIVERY only. You can’t eat there. I saw in one review that someone wanted to watch a game there(which is not possible). Anyway, once the pizza arrived, it was piping hot! We got half pepperoni and sausage and the other half was Sal’s Special(ham, pepperoni, sausage, onion, bell pepper and mushroom). There was SOMUCHCHEESE! Wow… they piled that on. The crust was crispy outside and nice and soft inside. Not«chewy» like how I like, but soft and not hard like bread. The verdict… it’s not the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it was really good. My husband and I had this conversation at the dinner table… Better than Costco? — YES(Sal’s crust is better) Better than Anthony’s in RC? Definitely YES Better than Dalia’s? YES Better than Gondola in La Mirada? In my opinion, YES Better than Petrillo’s? Hmmm, Sal’s is a little greasier… toss up Better than Big Mouth Pizza in Aqua Dulce? ehhh… I have to eat side by side… but I absolutely love Big Mouth’s crust! Better than Pizzamania in Whittier? NO!(Pizzamania is STILL my absolute favorite pizza… their sauce and crust still beat’s Sal’s) So in conclusion, Sal’s is a great dinner option at our house. Maybe every other month? :) Check out @Rancho_Cucamonga_Eats on Instagram. 129⁄100 Reviews for 2014
