I been here before and now they change to a new owner and everything got remodeled. Before the coffee was below average… This time I order the chai latte!!! Best I’ve tried!!! Soooooo good! I will definitely come back. Beside that, interior is way better looking and cleaner then before

I was working on my Masters at UCLA when I discovered this café. It opens early, closes late, and has been – for the most part – a quite place to finish a 52 page thesis. Through thick and thin, The Coffee Gallery and all of her wonderful staff helped push me through my program and there are no words that can express my gratitude. There are small tables that line the wall for singles/couples, and a group table in the back(I think you can still reserve the space if you’re working on a group project, etc.) There’s food – chili, pastries, panini, and breakfast sandwiches. Also, an awesome part, there’s an adjacent music venue that connects directly to the café. most shows are about $ 15. Don’t worry – you can’t hear the music if you’re at the café for some quiet. On a serious note, the café is now owned by Asian-American’s – management changed when I originally started resting my bottom in these chairs. The one thing I found disgusting was some of the racist-ass comments I would hear from some of the long-time patrons. I understood that with any change comes resistance… people do not take change lightly… I just hated that race/ethnicity was always a hot topic when renovations were occurring. I wish I had a go-go-gadget hand that could slap the racism out of some people. Anyway, new owners, I don’t know you but I got your back. My parents started a small business when I was a wee baby and I know how challenging and stressful it can be. I will return for as long as I live in the area. :)

Great place! Newly remodeled. Deanna brought my delicious sandwich my table so I didn’t even have to get up. What service!

The new owner Irene has done a great job with the Coffee Gallery. It’s spacious, cool-looking — with lots of tables and outlets for working. Best of all, they are serving Counter Culture, a great East Coast roaster. Maddie pulled an espresso shot for me. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. :)

Stopped by the Coffee Gallery while waiting for my daughter’s Ortho appointment. The store looked newly remodeled, with all brand new equipments and interesting designs. I like they mixed the modern feel with vintage furniture pieces. Not one chair look alike. We ordered a iced Mocha and a chocolate chip cookie. They were all very good! Wayyyy better than Starbucks. Will be back!

Came here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon to get some work done. I liked it. PARKING is a not too tough; street parking only, but The Coffee Gallery is between two residential streets, so there’s a fair amount of parking. Plus, there are a few 30-minute spots available. Their espresso machine was down that day :(. There is a minimum $ 5 purchase to use credit card, so I bought an Himalayan iced tea and cheesecake. Both were good.

This is a great place. Very friendly, awesome coffee drinks. The pastries are good, lots of seating, and I’m excited about the changes they’re currently making. If you’re in the area it’s worth a stop.

The Coffee Gallery has never been known for its pastry or its coffee. it was known as a community hang out. It has new owners who are trying to gentrify the place. prices are up, new hostile policies seem to be proliferating on a daily basis. they did change the pastry. it’s REALLYEXPENSIVE now, but when your hipster hand crafted artisanal bakery made from scratch $ 3.30 maple donut is so bland the buyer cries inside for a $ 0.65 Maple donut from Winchell’s, you know the place has dreams of becoming just another wanna be West Side Hipster hell.

Hawaiian Mocha. The quiche. The burrito. This place is excellent. Sofas, books, delicious coffees and damn cheap too. Wait staff are great and friendly. Fly makes very creative and delicious concoctions. Just tell him what you like and he’ll probably come up with something if it’s not already on the menu. It’s been a weekly staple of ours since moving nearby, and if you’re given the choice of The Lincoln or Coffee Gallery, pick The Coffee Gallery. The food is tastier and cheaper, the coffee is tastier and cheaper, and the crowd is broader and warm. Also, the people who work here are warm and friendly.

This used to be my favorite coffee shop. Until the switch over to new owners. While waiting for my coffee I overhear my old barista tell the new hire that that espresso shot is old, and she tells him it’s fine we aren’t supposed to waste them. Needless to say my drink was bitter, burned tasting, and I could not even tell what flavor the drink was supposed to be, I had to ask if I picked up the wrong drink. In the end I didn’t, it was the right drink, just completely ruined. I used to love this place, the awesome grandma vibe and open mic nights. The first thing the new owner did was jack up the prices and put a minimum on card purchases and rumor has it she’s also getting rid of the open mic nights. So sad to say I probably won’t be coming back.

Great Music Venue. 49 seats — and none of them bad. Great sound. A listening room, not a bar. I might add that The Coffee Gallery Backstage and The Coffee Gallery are separate businesses. Bob Stane runs the Backstage and provides music, lights and magic. He gets acts from all over the world who play for love, because heaven knows they aren’t getting rich playing here. You can get food or drinks out at the coffee bar(The Coffee Gallery proper) and bring them into the showroom, but there is no food or drink minimum. The website will tell you who is playing when. There is music almost every night, and some matinees too. The Coffee Gallery provides coffee and other drinks plus food and a hang-out environment. They have a new owner and I am expecting some new improvements in the coffee bar, I have already seen some happen. Again, this is a separate business from the Backstage, and they serve different people’s expectations. If you want to comment on the food/drinks, it would be best to post on the Unilocal Coffee Gallery space, and if you want to comment on the Backstage happenings, this is the place

I didn’t even know this place existed until we were invited to a bluegrass show by friends. Very small, intimate venue for enjoying music. The coffee was good. I would definitely return for another show if the occasion arises.

This was a great place to see music. The price was steeper than bars, but worth it. The sound was great and it made for a nice listening room. The coffee was good and the guy serving it was very pleasant. Parking was a little tougher than it should be so get there a little early.

I’m giving this five stars because the Internet bandwidth is phenomenal! 63Mbs down and 5Mbs up. It is also very comfortable here. Really, very cozie. The people are really nice and they actually have live music. I have found my happy place. Just about everything here is perfect. The couches need to be replaced, other than that. This is by far the best coffee shop in Pasadena. And if you’re a friend of Bill W. we meet here every Saturday at 9AM.

Cute hole in the wall coffee place. Very quiet, music is good(not loud) and good place to get some work done. Chai tea latte is good. And fast to get right after I ordered. So, I don’t know why others complaining it take awhile to get the drinks. I’m definitely come back and try their coffee next time. Plus, will bring my laptop to get some work done too.

Love this cute, local place. Fresh baked casseroles, fun specialty drinks, and a very un-starbucks vibe. They also have a stage in the back with local live music, and an intimate set up for a very authentic music going experience. I’m so happy this place exists. Only reason for less than 5 stars is that they need a more modern website to share info about their shows and ticketing, and coffee service can be on the slow side. Not criticisms, just helpful suggestions to make a great place even more wonderful!
