All of the people who work here are wonderful, with the possible exception of the current manager, who I hear is being moved. I have been a loyal customer here from the time they opened at this location. My kids were babies when we started as customers. I can definitively say that I have been a daily customer for the past 5 years nearly without exception. That said, I am most upset, disappointed, distraught over a recent experience. There is a huge knot of regulars who know consider each other to be friends. One of us in early May was told that he could no longer be allowed in the store because he had offended a customer.(or frightened her or intimidated her? don’t know) «no name», our friend and regular, always has a kind and uplifting word for everyone. I am a die hard, original feminist, and yet I love when he greets me saying«good morning beautiful» because he is sending me a hug in those words, nothing else. Apparently, he was friendly in a similarly verbal way with a high school girl and she told her mother and her mother complained to management and management told«no name» that he was no longer welcome at the store, based on what the mother told her. I wonder why the«management» did not think to ask one of us, his many friends. to explain to him the laws of political appropriateness? I GET those rules and know that any one of us could have lovingly explained them, because we ALLL know that Mike’s intentions are only to spread positivity. I wonder why. Of course I emailed Starbucks Corp my concerns and they had the district manager call me. Jennifer(the district manager) clearly lacked empathy and asked where I had gotten my information and told me that«noname should call us himself.»(I responded to this with the fact that no name was too humble and kind to do so.) Jennifer told me that she would pass along the info. I then received an auto response from Starbucks Corp. thanking me for my input and assuring me that they would look into the situation. A month has passed. No word from Corp and no one has called Mike to apologize. I am the farthest person from black vs white, but I have to ask, was no name asked to leave because he is black and frightened a white high school girl who attends a girls(mostly white) school who told her white mother that a black man told her that she was beautiful? or even pretty? or that he told her to have a wonderful day because she was beautiful? or or or? If no name had been white… hmmmm…would things have been different? What happened to «innocent until proven guilty»??? Oh wait, I get it… tell no name to leave because no one will complain that he was unfairly treated? Initially I did not think that this was a black and white issue. I thought it was poor judgement on the part of Starbucks management, at whatever level. Since then, a number of people have suggested to me that in fact it was at the end of the day about race. So, I am finally, after patiently waiting for a reasonable response from Starbucks Corp. posting.

Amazing and friendly staff always joyful! P. S. If Isabella is working the day you go, you’ll have the brightest day of your life! Her amazing genuine smile lit up my rest of the day! Beware, this can be quite contagious. :)

In this time of the season and the tragic events last week Starbucks was a warm way to relax. This evening I came into this Starbucks and received a evening greeting from a nice young woman of color with big brown eyes and a great smile. While waiting for my drink I listen to another Starbuck employee speaking to another saying some horrible about things about a wonderful young woman. As we all waited for our drinks trying to ignore this nastiness said I saw that wonderful smile turn so sad, as she as well heard this all. I now know this nice young lady name is Maya from hearing her co workers words. I write this to say sorry to Maya and shame on the co workers, for we should all have kindness and warm words for each other. Thanks Maya for your smile, professional service and greetings.

While shooting in a nearby neighborhood for a month a became a regular at this Starbucks. Not only is every last Barista super nice, and I’m pretty sure I met them all, but each and every one of them makes PERFECT soy foam which honestly is what I care about more than the coffee When this movie is done I will find myself driving to Altadena from Hollywood just to get my fix!

I like this Starbucks more than the one down at Foothill. The staff here is friendly and they are fast. I think management is better, they have enough people working there on a Saturday morning and you don’t have to wait forever for your coffee. Other than that, it’s a Starbucks :)

Love this SB. Lucy is so sweet. She knows my name and is always friendly. The space is better laid out now. Used to be impossible to find seating. I like that there is outdoor seating. This place is an integral part of our neighborhood.

Great coffee as always. Rather awkward sitting area, I guessed just because of the floor plan of the store, it has a front and back entrance which opens to the parking area. I usually go to this location because its the closest and if I’m craving the muffin sausage. Also my occasional source for my NY Times. Can get crowded at times because it is really strategically located on a busy intersection.

Dave N, wow man you should really relax. I’m in this store every day and Joanna is great. Sometimes she uses, this thing known to people with a sense of humor as sarcasm, but that doesn’t make her rude or unprofessional, it makes her smart. You think she wants to pass out free water all day? She doesn’t create the store policies, she simply helps customers, paying or otherwise. The people that work in this store are very cool. They do great work. You taking the time time write a negative review about her/them makes you seem like a real tool. I feel sorry for your wife assuming she hasn’t left you yet.

Joanna should learn how to treat customers who actually spend money at the store. Two customers after me got venti size water after she tells the guy helping me that they can only offer tall. I wait for my water and my Frappuccino and scone and she asks if I’m waiting for something. I tell her a ice water. She then says ok. What size? Oh wait why did I ask then filled a tall cup. This happened all while they served 5 school kids ice waters before me. Then I tell her it was suppose to be a venti. She then says if it’s going to ruin your day I’ll get you a venti size with a sarcastic tone. I immediately asked the guy behind the register to get me a business card with the store managers name and number. All was good but why treat everyone different. I don’t mind thirsty kids getting water but I got hosed as a paying customer. Joanna never even apologized for her poor service.

For the most part the Barista’s here are respectful and curtious but one of the female employees treated me so poorly. I purchased one of their cups that 1000 customers must have fondled and ask for a drink. She was even going to rinse the cup EVENAFTERTHETHELITTLESKINNYWRETCHDROPPEDITONTHEFLOOR. And I had to ask her to rinse it she, I Kid you not, Just ran very quickly only one part(and not even the part that feel on the floor) through lightly running water. To hell with her and that shot out Starbucks. I’m never going there again and will discourage my friends from going there. I could have gotten Ebola or something.

Its smaller than the ones I used to frequent in Chicago, but since I usually get my order to go anyway it is moot. It is your typical Starbucks, but the parking lot is always full(At least the last couple times I went).

Try ordering a black eye(which is a regular drip coffee with two shots of espresso in it) without sounding like you’re saying«I’d like to have a black guy.» I bet you can’t do it. The coffee and service here is good.

Pretty much your typical Starbucks. They are fast, the coffee is ok, and the prices are what you would expect. It is a little small so don’t plan on finding room to sit down. The service is friendly enough. Every time I go the person is nice, but seems little out of it. Not a big coffee drinker, but it is nice when on a break from work some times.

Like previous said, not ur normal SB. I feel like if you were in Cental Park here you would see chess boards layed out everywhere. The location has Vons and recycle center across the street and a Wells Fargo next door on Corner of Washingon & Allen. Recently they have remodles inside and the space is used much better with more sitting area and better flow of line.
