Ok I guess Nothing to be crazy about. Wanted to try it for lunch and I heard my colleagues saying that it is a true Italian restaurant Maybe I ordered the wrong items but I they use way too much dressing and sauces I guess this it because of the American clientele…

Wonderful food and impeccable service from Debbie!!! We had the mushroom appetizer which was to die for and our entrées were the shrimp and scallop scampi and the shrimp farnesse. We will definitely be back again!

One of those places that makes you feel at home, especially if your home is full of condescending RUDE people. Whatever you do don’t sit outside unless you want your over price, over salted meal to be ruined by their regular customers, who incase you’re curious are generally redneck smoke a pack per meal type of people. But I will say their Moscow mule is pretty tasty. However, not worth it. Eat at Prato instead. You pay the same amount but better atmosphere!

Nothing special but okay. There is construction in the area so they offered a 3 course dinner for 18 dollars. The wine list was lacking. I could have gotten better at Carrabbas.

There is nothing authentic about this place! Let’s just say I much rather go to «carrabas» than come here. Pasta was very bland with no flavor, I ordered a typical Fettucine Alfredo with shrimp and got«4» shrimps for an extra $ 6! Not even my 13 yr old son liked it. The water tasted like sewer.

I live in the area and frequent Murano’s on a fairly regular basis. Clearly, I have choices as the area is filled with competing restaurants. I go here because quite frankly, the food is just very, very good. And the service is equally matched by a staff that does not turn over frequently like so many others. I typically love to splurge on holiday dinners. We love to go the the Ritz Carlton, Waldorf, Four Seasons, and others. Crazy, but even though a regular at these establishments, this year we were denied a reservation because we were not staying as residents of the hotels. Might get one, likely not was the common answer. Since we already love Murano’s anyway, when an email came regarding their having a Thanksgiving Buffet and for only $ 34.95 per person, I thought«sure, let’s do this.» We were not disappointed! In fact the menu offerings exceeded our expectations. We had requested a reservation for a 2pm seating, arrived a few minutes and and at 2pm was at our table. The buffet was incredible. Some of the best offerings from their menu was present as well. Fresh fruit salad, boiled shrimp and more typical salad offerings, and then in addition to a very moist turkey with all the trimmings(excellent), there was incredible prime rib(perfect), lightly breaded and fried shrimp, homemade lobster ravioli, creamy mashed potatoes, string beans, dressing(awesome), fresh cranberry sauce that was incredible, their very popular balsamic grilled brussel sprouts and so much more. My wife and I loved every bite. We then enjoyed some great fresh pumpkin pie, apple pie and some of the smoothest chocolate mouse we’ve tasted. Paired with a nice cabernet and it was perfect. I hope they will have more of these offerings as they do it quite well. Heather was our server for the day. She was attentive, warm and most accommodating in all ways. We even got to see our favorite server Chrissy who happened to be working outside that day. Well, now we have another in our list of favorite servers as Hannah was terrific. On regular days we enjoy the Three Mushroom Brick Oven Pizza which could not be better; Shrimp Farness with homemade wide egg noodles(yummy!); and their Chicken Parm which beats most italian places throughout Orlando. I know good food and I know good service. Murano’s offers both and at a fair price. I encourage you to check them out.

Great service and good food, nice atmosphere. Totally worth the little drive off of 436. If not for mapquest we might not have found this place. Their flaming brick oven is the cool focal point of the inside. Outside seating available with a nice river view. We shared a 9 inch wild mushroom trio pizza. It was cool to watch the guy toss the dough and make our fantastic pizza! Lots of melty cheese and flavorful wild mushrooms. Served piping hot directly from the brick oven! Ummmm! We ordered sides of grilled asparagus that was grilled perfectly. Everything was fresh. The asparagus was fork tender. Very good!

Café Murano is a beautiful restaurant with a patio overlooking the lake at Cranes Roost park. Perfect setting for what I had envisioned for my engagement party. We got in communication with Mary, the event coordinator to get things going. The room for events was way out of our budget, so we opted for the patio which was free, however, we had to spend a certain amount of money to have the part of the patio we had for a certain amount of time. Neither were ever really specified although we asked many times. My mom and I met with Mary to go over menu and came to an agreement about price per person and we were fairly happy. It was a bit pricey, but considering we were getting the patio space for free, we decided to go for it. So here comes the bad part. Again we were never really told how long we would have the patio for although we mentioned we would appreciate 5 – 9 so 4 hours based on what we were spending. Mary began asking us to move our decorations and party at 7:30. The party started at 5. Between 7:30 and 8pm, she kept taking our tables and seating other people on a piece of the patio that was reserved for my party. All attention was put on this and made my guests feel as though they had to leave and they started to. Here’s the WORST part. The bill comes for my parents to split, and I overheard an amount WAY over what we had agreed on. I’m talking $ 400 more than what we were told to pay. Then my parents were inside talking to the manager and Mary, all while I’m in tears because I never wanted my parents to spend that on an ENGAGEMENTPARTY. And trying to hold myself together to continue hosting. They charged us more than most wedding receptions for food! I had about 35 guests, and we served pizza, one pasta and appetizers. Not to mention the fact that all my guests kept the bar very busy and more money was spent there. I’m trying to stay positive because the evening was beautiful and all of my guests loved the food and venue. The weather was perfect and we were treated to a beautiful sunset over the lake as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my special evening, just wish it wasn’t cut short. I spent so much time and money getting all the decorations made to have them pushed over and pushed over because«there’s guests that need to be seated.» Oh I’m sorry that the amount of money spent on food and beverages was clearly not enough. Such a shame because I enjoyed the food and would love to come back but won’t simply out of principal for what they did to us.

Our first visit and the food is AMAZING!!! Celebrating tonight. We ordered 3 apps and a main dish. The Calamari is crispy, very tasty & tender. We also ordered the Stuffed Meatballs and Filet Tips Marsala. I’m a true Italian. It takes a lot for me to eat someone else’s meatballs. These were excellent. The tips were tender and the Marsala was the best I’ve had. Gnocchi Genovese, home made gnocchi in a pesto cream sauce was a wonderful addition and change from red sauce. Our server Nicole was supper friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. This is one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Can’t remember a meal this good since my good friend sold her restaurant 10 yrs ago. We will be back. Especially on Wine Wednesdays. Won’t tell you what that’s about. Go find out. You’ll be happy you did!

This place was pretty darn amazing in terms of food and service. We had a little bit of a wait at first(hey, it was Friday night) but aside from that it was a great first dining experience. But honestly, if it wasn’t for our gift card, we would’ve never come across this place. It’s tucked back behind the Altamonte Mall AMC movie theater right next to Cranes Roost. The restaurant was loud when we walked in but that was in the bar area(I think live music was playing). There is patio dining as an option but it was rather muggy and humid outside. It will be a great for the cooler months though because of the great view of Cranes Roost in the distance. We lucked out because they ended up opening a side dining room area that was used for an event. Since the event was over, they were seating guests there. We lucked out with a table next to the window facing the patio. And there were several televisions within view airing sports so my husband was a happy camper. Candice was AMAZING from start to finish. We had a little bit of a wait for someone to approach us but I think because there was no organization and communication between the servers on who was serving whom. Thankfully Candice approached our table and checked if we had been helped and the rest is history. I give her an A++ for her very friendly and bubbly personality as well as not only multitasking with taking orders from neighboring large parties but also getting our drinks, apps and entrees to us in pretty record speed! My husband and I had the Caprese and Sea Scallops to start. These are not small, dainty dishes but more than enough for 2 to share. Their Caprese had fresh ingredients– the tomato was not underripe nor too mushy. The seared Sea Scallops were simple yet satisfying over the bed of arugula. If they made this a larger salad option, I would order! For my entrée, I decided to go with traditional and with what was constantly mentioned in reviews… which was the Chicken Parmesan! It’s a rather substantial piece of chicken breast that is hand breaded and served with a side of spaghetti and marinara sauce. The chicken breast alone could feed two people. I ended up eating about half of my dish and getting the rest boxed up. My husband had the Chicken Rollatini which seemed rather decadent and heavy just from first glance. The chicken breast is stuffed with prosciutto, fontina and mozzarella cheeses annnnnnnnnnd wrapped in bacon with a Marsala wine sauce served over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes. All I can say is don’t come here on a full stomach. They feed you here and the portions are plenty. And as if we didn’t have enough to eat, I ordered the Tiramisu for dessert… perfect coffee and cream flavors. This entire meal certainly didn’t disappoint. While it’s not on the cheap side, it’s a great option for a middle of the line sit down Italian restaurant for date night. I would whole heartedly recommend. And request the patio if the weather is nice!

What a wonderful find this was on our July trip to Orlando. Staying at the nearby Hilton, four of us found this amidst the shopping/residential/lake area on a busy Saturday night. Fortunately they were able to find a booth for us and we had wonderful service and fantastic food and drinks. We started with a round of drinks and their delightful bread with a super tasty olive oil dip. Instead of a typical entrée, I went with two appetizers… the stuffed Meatballs: «Two House Made Meatballs stuffed with Ricotta Cheese and served over Crispy Hashbrowns with Marinara Sauce», and the Brussels Sprouts: «Pan Seared with Pancetta, Garlic, Candied Walnuts, and finished with Parmigiano Reggiano and Aged Balsamic Vinegar». YES, these were both as great as they sound! Sadly my pic of the sprouts didn’t turn out because they were a thing of beauty! What a perfect balance of slightly sweet with salty. And let me tell you, those meatballs are amaze-balls! Meanwhile the other three of us were also pleased with the Steak Salad, the Penne Vodka and the Gnocchi. Not a complaint to be had. Stuffed, somehow we managed a round of dueling forks on a yummy chocolate dessert with ice cream.(I had to surrender early, due to the abundance of balls… meat & brussels! Not a single complaint from any of us, which is why I think we would all agree this was a five-star evening! And prices were right in line with the quality level, imho.(and I’m not just saying that because someone else picked up the tab!)

When I think of superb Italian cuisine, I must admit that I wouldn’t expect to find it in Central Florida! Yet, my mother, grandfather, & I had the most enjoyable experience at Café Murano a few weeks ago. The food was on point with excellent service & ambiance to make me want to give this restaurant 5 stars. Our server was stellar & truly took great care of us & anticipated our needs. Before my mother’s iced tea was half full, she was there to top it off. I really liked her bubbly & friendly nature; she even put up with my grandfather’s explanation of how he wanted his Dry Rob Roy straight up with a twist of lemon & how no one seems to get it right anymore & his story about how he didn’t like his the other night at another restaurant. Having been a waitress for a very long time, my patience is tried easily when people go off on tangents but she was very patient & sweet with him. She also recommended a great martini for me to try & it was called the«Teacher’s Pet Martini.» Since I’m a teacher & the drink sounded delicious, I ordered it. The drink was incredibly delicious & all the drinks were half priced for happy hour between 4−7pm. As far as dinner, we were completely impressed with the food. We ordered three entrees and shared them and they were all delicious. We had Chicken Marsala, Lasagna, and Chicken Picatta. Each dish was flavorful and tasted right on point and how it should. The Marsala wine sauce was reduced perfectly. I would never hesitate to come back again. Plus, the atmosphere is quite nice and welcoming. If you are looking for a nice place to go and eat with friends or family or you want to go on a nice date, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yes! I want to go back. We went for brunch. $ 12 unlimited mimosas. I wasn’t thrilled with the brunch options themselves but you can get regular menu items as well. I got a chicken salad. I’m really looking forward to trying some of the pasta options. The patio has a nice view of the park. It can be warm out there but they have fans to try to help. The inside seems nice to.

I was in Altamonte Springs for a quick weekend trip. Met a new friend here on her suggestion, since I requested somewhere near or overlooking the water. I arrived about 30 minutes early, since this was our first time to meet and sat at the bar. They had a nice selection of craft beer on tap, which is on a rotation. I couldn’t decide, so the bartender recommended an Ovila Abbey Saison — Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. For my taste in beer, it was an excellent choice. I had another 2 before my friend arrived. Once she arrived, we did a couple shots, she was a little nervous, and then went to our table on the patio. Once we had a few minutes to look over, the menu truly it was more than few, due to we were talking about everything other than food. We decided on the bruschetta and the stuffed mushrooms to start. Both apps came out quickly and were very good. I was already getting full and was on beer 6 or 9 or somewhere around there and now it was time to order dinner. We were torn between the margherita pizza and the lobster and crab ravioli. We went back and forth and ending up only ordering the margherita pizza… so we thought. The pizza came out a few minutes later. I was still not real hungry, but grabbed a slice and was really pleased with the pizza, as was she. A few minutes later our server brought out the lobster and crab ravioli. My friend commented that she didn’t think we ordered it, but I said what the hell, we didn’t, it’s here, let’s eat. Sometimes misunderstandings can be good and sometimes misunderstandings are bad. Well in this instance, this was a good misunderstanding, a VERYGOOD misunderstanding. The ravioli was AMAZINGLY good. So good that even though I was not hungry, I somehow managed to shove 4 pieces down my throat and I believe she managed to eat 3 or 4 too. Next up was another round of drinks and on to our next stop… which if you’ve been paying attention, we had been enjoying our evening of conversation and drinks, so we took a cab to our next few stops of the night. Lest anyone believe I’d drive myself after that many drinks. I haven’t been back to Café Murano since our dinner, but I definitely will return on one of my trips back to Altamonte.

Service here has always been great, the stuffed mushrooms are outstanding!!! I typically jjust order the chicken parm but wondering what their pizza was like i decided to go for something different. Meh… Its def not bad by any means. But its nothing that really stood out. I’ve honestly never sat inside here. Over the years ive been several times. Its great sitting out side people watching when the weather is nice. For great atmosphere and good food. Dont pass this place up. And if you love fungus. Def order the stuffed mushrooms!

Stopped in for dinner recently while in town and was really impressed with the menu options that Café Murano has going on. They offered A LOT of yummy sounding Italian dishes(some even being offered as either half or full portions). We got some fresh warm bread with the olive oil dipping side and snacked on that while waiting for our stuffed mushroom appetizer. Those were SOGOOD. For my dinner I ordered the half portion of the gnocchi which was good but not great like I was hoping for. I really wanted it to wow me. That’s not to say it wasn’t good b/c it was but I don’t eat Italian often so when I do I really want to be blown away by it.

Altamonte Springs isn’t exactly known for its culinary scene, sure the city hosts«Red, Hot and Boom» every year and boasts quality suburban living for its residents. Yet, there’s a hidden gem of sorts tucked behind the mall with a lakeside view. Café Murano has over 30 years of experience serving guests and creating delectable recipes. Every menu item is made in-house including bread and pastas, all under the hand of Chef Khai and Chef Scott. Their portions are generous, service is friendly and new dishes are introduced monthly depending on the chef’s choice. The lively bar scene is filled with locals, regulars and rotating craft beers. If beer isn’t your thing, their wine list is fairly extensive and cocktails are crafted with care. With an affordable made-from-scratch menu, there’s sure to be something for everyone in your party. The atmosphere is lively, but not pretentious, and the dishes are filled with Italian goodness. Recently, we ventured over to Café Murano and enjoyed quite a lovely meal. Here’s what we tasted and recommend for your next night out: Happy Hour: We dined on a Friday and enjoyed half price drinks until 7 p.m. Amazing. Plus enjoy the sounds of live music on Fridays and Saturdays. We happily sipped our half price wine and beer, while unwinding from a long week! Chicken Marsala: When dining out for Spork I tend to completely ignore the fact that I’m terribly allergic to gluten and soy. It’s just not practical and, let’s get real, everything tastes better with carbs. When I do venture out for pastas, it’s gotta be worth it! Luckily, this fantastic dish was worth every bite, the chicken is sauteed with shallots, mushrooms and Marsala wine atop fettuccine. The homemade pasta was perfection and I nearly licked my plate! Chicken Parmesan:(Actually) hand-breaded, topped with marinara, mozzarella and served over spaghetti. Lots of places claim«hand-breaded,» but here you can taste the difference. From the house-made pasta to the fresh tomato sauce, you’ll be instantly transported to Italy with each bite! If you’re looking for something different, lively and family friendly venture over to Café Murano. It’s conveniently located within walking distance to a movie theater, so why not make a night of it with your favorite people?
