I went here for regular wax appointments and was talked into buying multiple waxes at once(pay for 4 get the 5th free). Although my aesthetician was AMAZING(i’ve actually followed her to a different salon) and the room itself was clean, it was impossible to get a hold of them to make appointments. They do not answer the phone, they do not return messages when you leave them, and recently have closed without notifying any of their clients. I’d stay away from anything with a Jon Ric name.

I was simply appalled with the customer service at this place. Considering people go to a salon and spa to get pampered and relax, you would think they would put a little more emphasis on the customer experience. I bought a Groupon for a couples massage for a Valentine’s Day gift. Simply getting an appointment was extremely difficult; it took multiple calls and a few days before I was able to set one. And then after I finally got one, while on our way to our appointment, I received a call that one of the masseuses was sick and that we would have to reschedule. I understand that people get sick, but I was a bit thrown off that they waited until just minutes before the appointment to call. They then could not give me a definite response when I could reschedule and said they would call me back that day. They did not so I called again the next day. Again, no call back. I got to go through the same ridiculous motions to reschedule an appointment as I did setting it the first time. The second try at our massages was even worse. We arrived a few minutes early to a disheveled receptionist that we should have taken as a tip-off to the lack of professionalism we were about to encounter. As we walked up to check in, another untidy woman walked over and quietly said to her in a somewhat panicked tone, «we don’t have another masseuse here!» Even though I had confirmed the appointment, they somehow did not have it. Then, yet another woman, dressed like she was getting into bed, walked over(I assumed the manager). Right from the start everything they said to us was with an attitude, like it was somehow our fault that they did not have our appointment. They then told me that my Groupon was already used because I was a no-show for the last appointment. After I, as nicely as possible, explained that it was actually them that canceled on us when we were minutes away(which for some reason they did not believe), they said they guessed they could fit us in an hour later so we should go get something to eat and come back. All along having extreme attitude. I was so annoyed and in shock of how unprofessional and rude these people had been that there was no way I was going to be able to enjoy a massage. I told them that I did not want to give them my business so thank you but I will contact Groupon to have it canceled and refunded. The one woman then had the nerve to threaten me that I would not get my money back because Groupon would see that it was already used. Needless to say, I got my money back, because fortunately, unlike the Jon Ric Salon and Day Spa, Groupon has phenomenal customer service. I will never give this place my business! And if you are looking for an enjoyable salon and/or spa experience, DON’T GOHERE!

Worst salon experience I have ever had! First off, good luck getting anyone to answer the phone to make an appt. It took over a dozen calls and unreturned messages! I had an 11:15 appt and arrived at 11. The massage therapist(who is the head therapist) arrived at 11:45. I was lead into a tiny room right off the main part of the salon, where I could hear all of the talking and laughter outside. The employee did not stop talking during the first half of the massage, asking me about any health issues I had and giving me unsolicited advice about how to treat them-not very relaxing. At one point an employee knocked on the door, needing something from the room. The woman doing my massage opened the door and allowed the person to come in and helped them for a few minutes, which was apparently included in my one hour. Even still she cut the massage 10 min short. To top it all off, it was not even a deep tissue massage. When I asked her to focus on an area or use more pressure, she would do so for a few strokes before returning to light pressure. This was hands down the worst massage I have ever received and their customer service is awful!

I called to try and make an appointment 4 times and eachtime they would just say that the lady who makes appointments is busy and she would call me back in 20 minutes, and then never call me back! I would have just gone elsewhere, but I already bought my groupon. When I got there, my hour-long massage started 5 minutes late, which wouldn’t have been that big of a deal if it didn’t end 15 minutes early! The massage itself was less than average. Cold room, really fast strokes, not that relaxing at all. In short, if you want to waste your money, go here. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

I bought myself a hot stone massage as a birthday present to myself from Groupon. I’ve bought many coupons from Groupon and have never been disappointed with my purchases. I’ve had many massages at a variety of day spas, so I did research on Jon Ric from their website and was excited. This experience was disappointing for several reasons. Perhaps I should have specifically asked for one of their«featured» massage therapists who have profiles on their local website, as the masseuse I had was not listed on their site. Overall, I was mostly disappointed with my experience at Jon Ric Salon & Day Spa. I should have spent my money elsewhere. Pros: Everyone was friendly and smiled. The room smelled nice. Cons: The room was cold. The sheet to lay under during the massage was too thin. There were no other blankets. I could hear everything going on in the salon, including staff conversations as they were cleaning up the salon. There were lots of loud noises in my room as my masseuse gathered, regathered, accidentally slammed cabinet doors, and dropped things. My masseuse seemed extremely inexperienced in giving hot stone massages… or perhaps any massage. Many examples of strangeness: While entering the room, my masseuse asked«So, I’m told you wanted to add on the hot stones?» I replied, «Well, I purchased a hot stone massage… it wasn’t supposed to be an add-on…» –Immediately worried that there was some confusion. Once in the room my masseuse asked me how good my eyesight was. I said excellent and asked why. She asked if I could turn on the music because she couldn’t see without her glasses. Ummm… Why aren’t you wearing your glasses, then? The entire massage was a combination of rushed, seemingly unplanned motions. Every time she’d concentrate on a specific spot, she’d just hurriedly go through her massage motions and move on. She often stood at the left of me, would work on a specific spot, like my shoulder blade, then would reach over me instead of walking to the other side to focus on my other shoulder blade. This resulted in an imbalanced massage. Even when she was standing at my head, many of her motions weren’t symmetrical. The cold room contributed to a less-than-relaxing environment. There was no heating pad, the top cover was only a sheet and there were no other covers, and the hot stones made the room only feel colder. At one point, the masseuse asked«Are you cold?» I said yes, and she said, «Oh, okay,» and then did nothing about it. On top of all of this, at the end of massaging my back and legs, she took a warm, damp cloth to wipe off the oil, which was nice, but then she put that thin sheet on top, which neither soaked up the moisture nor warmed me at all, so then I was damp all over and cold. Overall — Go elsewhere. Or, if you’ve already bought a Groupon, like me, ask for one of the«featured» masseuses on their website… Maybe they’re better.
