St. Andrews Tavern

Came here with at least 15 people all over 21 with valid I.D.s. All sober mind you. All planning on buying drinks and food and probably spend over $ 1000 between all of us. Bar tender checks our I. Ds and then outnof nowhere says «Sorry we can’t serve you.» Lost the establishment a TON of money. There were a lot of us. Pretty sure the bartender was named Jackie. What a bitch. None of us will EVER go back there. Rudest place I have EVER been.

Best fish and chips in Orlando, hands down. Great atmosphere and friendly staff make it a must eat and hang out.

Bad food. Very small and boring. The age group in here is probably 40+. The only thing that was good was the bottled beer witch no one can mess up on.

My favorite local bar. Buy 1 get 1 on Tuesdays! Yaaassss!
If you are going here to eat, you must try the fish and chips. Their fried mushrooms are super yummy as well.
I definitely recommend this place to all who are looking for a hidden treasure.

Was previously the best location in Orlando to watch weekend EPL games, hands down. The problem? They no longer play EPL games until after 12 noon and by that time 90% of the games are finished. It’s really a shame. Going there at 8 or 10am for the morning games, to have a couple of great pints, to be among fellow EPL fans was a real treat in painfully inauthentic Orlando. Now one must go to a lesser English pub in Orlando to see morning games. I’m not sure but I believe it changed ownership and the new owner decided to change the best English Football Pub in Orlando into just an English Pub in Orlando. Moreover, one wonders whether, with the surge of EPL viewership in the US and soccer interest in Orlando with the new team here, the decision makes sense from a business standpoint.

I’ve been to St. Andrew’s Tavern probably at least 10 times in the past few years when I come down to visit my parents & each time the food has always been on point. Today, we stopped in at about 3:30 & there was a sign on the door saying it wouldn’t be opened until 4:30 since its New Years Day; however, we heard loud cheering inside. The bartender explained she opened early for the soccer game but food wouldn’t be served until 4:30. Ok, that’s cool because we planned on playing darts first anyway. Drank 2 Stella Artois & played darts with mom & she kicked my ass all over the place multiple times but it’s all good. Lol at 4:30, the bartender told us she was going to order our food & asked what we wanted: Fish & Chips & Shepherd’s Pie. My mom specifically asked for the Shepherd’s Pie to be served piping hot. About 10 minutes later the food came out & the bartender had specifically asked for our fish & chips to be split & served on two plates to make it easy for us. My fish was hot, my mother’s fish not even luke warm. The Shepherd’s Pie was ice cold. She took my mom’s fish & the pie back & a few minutes later brought it back. My mom’s fish had clearly been microwaved because it was dry inside but soggy on the outside. The Shepherd’s Pie which has always been my favorite now has GIGANTIC pieces of onion in it that is off putting & simply doesn’t belong in the dish. I can understand chopped up finely & mixed in the ground meat but the huge slices I picked out were odd & it changed the texture & the flavor profile & not in a positive way. I have to say I liked the bartender very much because she only charged us for one piece of fish as opposed to two & if I could give 2.5 stars I would for her sake; however, because of the food experience & also because the dingy, dark, & incredibly smoky ambiance, I just can’t give more than 2 stars. I understand that in FL, if the establishment is more of a bar than a restaurant, patrons are allowed to smoke but holy crap it’s vile. My eyes were burning & I was bombarded by the smoke in my nostrils & mouth for hours afterwards even. I think we will be searching for a different pub to play darts & eat at next time I’m down that doesn’t allow smoking.

Great local pub. The bartenders are native English. They will make you feel like a regular from your first visit on. Nice room to play darts (bring your own) and good British beer on tap. Not a big place or one for live music but certainly one of our favorite hangouts in the Orlando area.

One of only a few smokey pubs I will tolerate anywhere. Watching World Cup matches here beats any atmosphere I’ve experienced anywhere in Orlando. BTW, the food is good too. Try the Shepards Pie and Bangers Mash & Beans!

The building caught out eye and we hung a u-​turn to check it out. One of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The fish and chips were incredibly fresh and delicious, great selection of drinks, and the atmosphere was absolutely phenomenal. Besides the awesome vibe of the bar itself, the patients were all singing and laughing and dancing together; it was honestly such a great place. We absolutely have a new favorite place in the area.

Horrible. New barmId and staff are useless. Gave me semicooked chips (fries) when I said there was an issue… They asked what should they do about it… The rudest women going They should rehire Sean. he was a proper bartender

I joined a group of friends here for dinner and drinks. The location is pretty easy to find, but parking is a bit of a pain. There is a limited number of spots outside the tavern, so my friend and I ended up parking down the street in front of someone’s home.
The atmosphere is typical English pub fare, and they have a bunch of televisions showing various sports games. It took a while for a waitress to come by and take our orders. I had a roast beef and onion sandwich. It was alright, but it could have used some kind of sauce or dressing to give it some more flavor. One of my friends ordered a curry that looked pretty good, and my other friends had fish and chips. You’re probably going to need a take-​home box for your fish and chips because the full serving looks like they stuck the Loch Ness Monster in a deep fryer (I mean this in a good way).
I have to take a star off for the smoking. While it wasn’t too bad when I was in there, I don’t think I’ll be returning here. As an ex-​smoker, the smell of smoke brings back cravings that I want to leave behind.
Our server was friendly and attentive. If you’re in the mood for whiskey at an English pub, and you don’t mind smoke, then I’d recommend St. Andrews.

Good place to grab a beer. Unfortunately, its a smoking place and that would ruin your food.

The service here is adequate, however, it seems to help if you’re a regular.
We had the fish n chips (single piece) and shepherds pie on our visit. The piece of fish was large but was a bit greasy for our taste. The shepherds pie was nice but unremarkable. Due to the fact that people were smoking at the table right next to us, we won’t be back. But hey, if you don’t mind the blue haze, you might enjoy a meal here. I’d be more likely to recommend it solely for ‘football’ gazing.

I was craving fish and chips and read that this was the place. Unfortunately I didn’t get to try them because when we walked in, it smelled like an old ash tray and there were ash trays on every table. How does this place get by with having smoking inside a food service establishment? I was very disappointed. We went on to Fish and Chips Restaurant and it was very good.

Wonderful little pub! I wasnt too hungry so didnt get what looked like a large and very delicious fish n chips. Next time im going with an appetite so i can get it! But the fries that i topped with salt and pepper and malt vinegar was great! Also I love the little mugs my cider and black currant came in, not to mention the drink inside! SO good! I went on a casual weekday afternoon for a soccer game, so it wasn’t crowded at all. Got to play darts, too! The staff is always amazing!

It’s Tuesday, I got nothing to do and I’m out exploring bars. St. Andrews is not too far from the house and a little shepherd’s pie seems to be the ticket.
Started out with a pint of Foster’s and unfortunately, they were out of Shepherd’s Pie, so fish and chips it is. The fish and chips were good and HUGE portions.
Waitresses with British accents.(me like) Deana was my waitress and bartender — extremely friendly and attentive. And as Deana describes it, «eat, drink and smoke.» Yes, you can eat, drink and smoke here.
Nice background music. Small yet fun.

My husband and I LOVE this place, best Black Velvet in Orlando! Fantastic beers on tap, great service and atmosphere.

I’m definitely not a newbie to this pub. I have been coming here for almost 10 years now with some of my best friends. Looking for a great place to get a cold Strongbow or Guinness on tap you have found it. Even better yet get one of my favorites; a Black Velvet that mixes the two for a great drink.
I have always felt like this was a great local hangout on the right nights. A great British pub atmosphere and the same staff year after year severing you drinks, it’s truly a pub where everyone knows your name. Never know what kind of music you will get in the background or might even catch a night with a live band. This is the place to watch a soccer match and play some real darts.
The food is great too just don’t get there too late because the don’t serve all night long. Appetizers, Chicken Fingers. Fish & Chips! Fried food to the max!
Parking has always been interesting, maybe times parking at the veterinarians office across the street. Just because the parking lot is full doesn’t mean there isn’t room inside. Seems like everyone drive their own car to the pub half the time.

This place is amazing.
From the atmosphere, to the food, to the friendly staff. This is an amazing spot on a Friday night.

I love Strongbow, I love ciders, I love British pubs! Very authentic with sexy British accent from some of the servers. I think it’s family owned but I’m not sure.
Great environment and love the darts game. Definitely has one of the best Shepherd’s Pies in town!
I want to go back again very soon :)
