Yes this is one of those reviews that I wish I could do not zero stars but negative stars service was horrible the ice cream tasted like McDonals grade soft serve I asked for the ice cream to be dipped in some cherry flavoring in it tasted like old nasty white chocolate … Wouldn’t recommend this place even to people I don’t like

The Little Dairy Manor has been a part of my existence since I was two years old. We used to go there to get our pints of ice cream and other treats. It is a landmark in the Forest City/Altamonte Springs area since it opened. They serve a variety of typical ice cream dishes, along with hotdogs, hamburgers and similar foods. They have vanilla and chocolate ice cream and I recall strawberry, but I haven’t been there in a while so I’m going from memory. The prices are fair and while they don’t have the same variety has you would expect from the other ice cream places(like every thing mixed together and tons of additional toppings). The core of their food is simple and stuff you might find at a malt shop during the 50’s. Look for the rainbow & ice cream cone on the roof. It’s iconic.

My wife grew up around here and wanted to remember the good old days. I think whoever owned the place back then knew how to run things but these folks don’t seem to have a clue. First of all, the lighting outside attracts flying bugs. By itself that’s a given. But there are two open windows where you order and neither has a screen. Bugs everywhere and even in my hair while waiting in line. One of the guys working there was preparing food in a sleeveless t shirt. The ice cream tasted cheap and the the chocolate dip just tasted like brown waxy stuff. To make it worse the ice cream wasn’t that cold. In fact they were struggling dipping the cones and losing the ice cream in the chocolate dip. The cone was served with one flimsy napkin and no others were available without trying to get the attention of one of the buffoons behind the counter. A futile undertaking I found out. So if you’re looking for the good old days of the Little Dairy Manor, keep looking because those days are gone. We only allow ourselves ice cream maybe once a year and we blew it by coming here.

Great little family owned place, prices are way cheaper than all the mainstream ice cream joints in town. Family favorite to stop by when we are in the area!

It’s a nice little ice cream shop with soft serve goodies. Family owned and operated so come out and support small businesses.

It was ok. Kinda cheap tasting soft serve. The lady was kind of a cranky pants who served us so that wasn’t great. Local business so that’s cool but ehh not going back anytime soon.

Little Dairy Manor is still one of my favorite places to go for some great ice cream or dessert. I grew up just down the street and is still my all time favorite for their milk shakes. Better than any other I’ve ever had. Down side has always been space. It’s small and as Altamonte grows, more people go on the weekends than ever. It’s a great grab and go place. Most definitely a great dessert place and great for the family too!

I grew up just a few blocks behind the Little Dairy Manor in Forest City, and I have over three decades of happy memories associated with this ice cream stand. The Dairy Manor has changed ownership several times over the years. Every time, it seems that it is a rocky transition followed by a strong recovery. The current owners have this local favorite back on track with huge portions well-presented with good service. One concluding note: I miss the rainbow on top of the building, incorrectly colored and prone to blow over in storms as it was.

Great, personal service with tasty home made food. Huge portions! It’s almost like eating at your Mom’s house. Top it off with some ice cream for dessert!

I used to get ice cream here all the time in middle school and it was AWESOME. Just went back the other day and they’re still awesome. The only thing is it can get packed at times and the line will stretch out to the street. The employees don’t exactly seem happy to be alive let alone working there but it’s all good! The vanilla cone is so creamy and delicious. The shakes are thick and real. Not that partially gelatinated gum crap at Mickey Ds. I think LIttle Dairy Manor falls short of Twistee Treat quality, though. Definitely worth stopping by for dessert however if you’re in the West Altamonte or Apopka vicinity.
