Awesome food and service. Trout, crab cakes and lobster wrap were all delicious. Thanks

Want to start off saying its a cute little restaurant that looks pretty beachy on the outside. On the inside it looks a normal sit down restaurant. They had pretty good variety in their menu. I ordered the veggie pesto panini & it was delish! We got out food fairly quickly which was nice. The waitress was very nice and helpful as well.

This place is awesome. It has a great menu of seafood, steaks, sandwiches, pasta and more. Great bar, great view and great hospitality. U will not go wrong. It’s one of the best in Alton Bay.

For the location, quality of food and the price, this is the place to go! It is simplistic dining and the place to go for seafood. I can compare and rate The Dockside better than most high end seafood restaurants. Anyone that has dined there knows that they are known for having the BEST Haddock… whether fried, baked, broiled or a sandwich. The Haddock Sandwich is the biggest sandwich anywhere. I have yet to find a place that compares to it. That is their trademark! The fish cakes, lobster roll, fried clams, hot and honey shrimp and scallops are all great, and yes… even their meatloaf is good! The owners and staff are friendly and know their customers. They always go above and beyond. If there is an issue, they will do whatever it takes to rectify and make sure your visit was a positive one. The breakfast is also great. Quick, reasonably priced and good! I do have one negative comment… they are closed from October to May! There really is not a substitute for The Dockside in the off-season. We are always searching…

Dockside works for what it is — a small restaurant with a nice view of Alton Bay which serves decent food. The caveat is that NH is not known for its cuisine, and so for locals, this place is pretty good, but as an outsider, it’s hard to be satisfied with just okay fried food. What I do want to say about Dockside is that their prices might seem a little steep at first, but when you get the plate in front of you, you understand why. Order any of the fried fish meals and you will be shocked by how much food is coming your way. I ordered the ribs and fish combo(with fried clams) and left with what equates to a whole other meal. The fried clams were fine, but I do have to commend Dockside for their fall of the bone ribs. I couldn’t even pick them up with my hands because the meat was just ready to fall off. They were pretty good. I would’ve given this place 4 stars on the ribs alone, but the service was a little weird, and the place the lack of air conditioning(the air conditioner read 82) brings it down a star. So while this place doesn’t compare with my experience in bigger cities, it is a pretty great place for its area.

This place gets better every year, the owner takes pride in his business, and he makes just the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. Give this place a try you will be pleasantly surprised.
