Waffle House

Disregard every other review… this place is amazing! There is no smoking or any sign of smoking. The service is unbelievable! Gotta give a shoutout to our waitress Susan, friend Lynn, cook Tammy (Make sure she is working. Her hash-​browns are glorious.) and lastly… a huge shoutout to the Freezer Manager, Heather ;)

Another 5 star review. Friendly fast service, tasty food and wonderful coffee. I love that we still see the same smiling waitresses each visit.

Always a great weekend breakfast place. We love that’s it’s non smoking! Mary is always a great hostess and we always get the All Star Breakfast. Never disappoints.

We arrived and there was one open table in non-​smoking but it was nasty. Someone finally cleared it be disappeared in the back to get something to wipe it with. We were going to sit at the counter, but it, too, was nasty and the waitress was about to put the napkin and silverware on it so we waited for the clean table. We warned her we were hungry and cranky. I asked for hashbrowns extremely well done, and she ignored the well-​done part. My order came out wrong — not only was it undercooked, it had cheese. I sent it back, reminding her I wanted it extra well. I got it back — again with cheese. By now my blood sugar was so low I was shaking. It had been almost a half hour since we had entered the restaurant. I didn’t get my bacon. Then the waitress and the cook started arguing over whose fault the error was. Then the third person in the group acted like she was doing me a huge favor by taking my food — which I never received — off the bill. I told her my friends had had an AWEFUL experience listening to me get upset and to the waitress and cook fighting over who messed up my order (TWICE — plus NO BACON) that they shouldn’t have to pay, either. I was rudely told to call the manager — that the number was right on the door.
I have NEVER been treated so badly in my life. Especially not at a Waffle House, where I’m used to friendly, pleasant service.

Agh!!!

The iconic bright yellow sign broke through the crisp winter mix of the cold dark night. It guided us like the star did to the wise men. Upon entering its hallowed halls we were greeted by the warm friendly smiles of unassuming Texas workers. The two workers were draped in their famous Waffle House uniforms, worked the grill and register with the precision of the finest Swiss watch maker and the hospitality of the sweetest Southern Grandmother. They presented us with not only a fine meal but a wonderful experience. These two, working through the graveyard shift like angels, exchanged stories and pleasantries with us like old friends reunited. The cold harsh night had us downtrodden but the smiles and warmth of our caretakers and the delicacies they served left us with the ambition and confidence to tackle the rest of our taxing endless journey. We truly enjoyed our experience and for the love that we felt, we are eternally grateful.

Used to eat here a few times a week. Now you have to fight off the roaches. When roaches come out in broad daylight, you KNOW its infested. Health hazard.

Have eaten here many times and always loved it, until two months ago. I ordered my usual, hash browns in a ring, waffle, etc. The wonderful waitress comes back with dark scattered hash browns! She quietly advised me that the cook (manager in training) was not doing anything in a ring today!!! I WAS LIVID!!! I reported this to Waffle House Corporate and I will not return to such a disrespectful place… I am finding that the world is changing and CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS GONE TO THE DOGS!!! In all fairness, the waitresses there are wonderful! Shame they are losing alot of business due to these problems.

Food was good, waitress was great. Enjoyed just sitting there having bkfast with my wife.

This so called pancake house is ruined by all the cigarette smoke & grease that covers everything that is cooked on the grill. When this Waffle House first opened, it was wonderful! Everything nice & clean, no truck drivers yet as the new edition to the truck stop across the street was not built yet. As I am vegetarian, they were nice to give me a wheat toast egg sandwich (minus the yolk), with tomato. My husband who is not vegetarian, was served eggs, hash potatoes, & wheat toast plus coffee. He was happy with the food & service as I was too. But now I can’t even make it through the door due to the smoke clinging to dirty bodies, plus the floor covered with greese & dropped food. The seats are covered with grease & are clearly not cleaned good after each customer. Now I know not every waiter/​waitress skimps on cleaning & probably are like some customers, victims of the only job they could find in days when even working at a greasy spoon is better than no job at all.

The first few times I ate here the service was horrible. The food was not much better. That was when they first opened. I have eaten there a couple times lately though, and it seems they are doing better. I will go back.
