This place never disappoints. Every time I go, I start thinking about how soon I will be able to visit again! Very friendly and fast service. Everything is delicious, but my favorites are the fried pickles, and the grilled shrimp platter… so yummy!!! :D

We have been looking for a new seafood place in the area and accidentally found this one. We had the special combo dinner. The food was really good and service very good.

I absolutely love this restaurant since they opened abt. a yr, ago !! Most fabulous Gumbo — closest to my Dad’s Gumbo from 50 + yrs ago !! Great price on it for the lunch special !! Thier burgers are fabulous –seasoned & cooked just right. :Love their crinkle cut fries. Always my favorite Tried the seafood dished and they are very good. Love that they come with healthy veggies but I have to change the dirty rice. Never was a favorite of mine. Only problem I see… is tables can sit with dirty dishes. Makes it look unappetising BUT when they do clean the tables– they use a cleaning chemical and not just a dirty towel used over & over like other restaurants do. But staff is very friendly, great food and really good prices. Service seems to be slow when we’ve brought in a large group. (of only abt. 5 people — that doesn’t appear «large’ to me but compared to just me or me & a friend — I see the service slows way down & took very long to get our food. But all in all– this is a fabulous restaurant to go to.

Alvin Seafood is owned by the same folks who have had Manvel Seafood for years. Alvin Seafood is located at the corner of S Gordon St and House St in the center of town. This corner had seen a succession of failed restaurants since it was Pizza Hut wwaaayyyyy back when. I’m really happy to see a good, sit down restaurant here. I had the Blackened Grilled Stuffed Salmon tonight. It was excellent. I’ve been a couple of times before, never disappointed with the food or the prices. For the quality of the food, I’d expect the prices to be higher. NOT complaining about the prices, mind you, just saying its quality is on part with higher end restaurants.
