Malt N Burger

Really good burger and fries. Nice staff. My only complaint is they charge .50 for refills. Who does that nowadays?

Place is always clean. The fries are excellent. The buffalo burger is unique and we’ll prepared.

This is the best cheeseburger place I have found since I got to Texas! I will drive the 45 minute drive to definitely come back. It’s so awesome you will regret not coming sooner! Definitely good food and great malts!

It is a very good restaurant. I got a cheese burger all the way with a strawberry malt. I am very happy and full. I would recommend this place to a friend. Read the reviews and decided to try it. Very bland cheap thin burger patties. They weren’t seasoned at all. Even the fries were bland.
My daughter asked for bacon on her burger and it was the thinnest, fake bacon out there.
They charged for soft drink refills too.
2 stars because the milk shake was good and the person working the counter was very nice.

Ahh I like this new (to me) hole-​in-​the-​wall burger joint off of hwy 6 in Alvin. Nice assortment of menu items, from burgers, chicken or fish sandwiches, chicken tenders, burritos, fries to shakes and malts! I’ve only tried their burgers so far and I love them. Not greasy at all, the fries are thick yet still super crispy on the outside. Their chocolate malt is amazing. Cashier is friendly, restaurant clean. Highly recommended for the burger and fries craving!

I’m always a big fan of small hole in the wall burger joints that have been around for a long time (that’s usually a good sign). They usually don’t look like much from the outside, but the food is what keeps you coming back for more. I ordered the Giant Burger Combo with bacon and a chocolate malt and I would have to say i’m a fan and definitely coming back for more. The buns are nice and toasted and the burger was juicy and not overly greasy. I actually finished my burger without making a big greasy mess. The fries were great although I prefer thinner crispier fries over the thicker cut type. But they were crispy! To top off my meal was a delicious chocolate malt which was perfectly malty. If you’re looking for a hole in the wall burger joint in Alvin, give Malt N Burger a try!

Meh! We were driving from Galveston to Austin and trying to find a way around Houston. It sounded good and the scores were high. The burgers had no taste and we’re very blah. Fries were good, but nothing special. I think I would have enjoyed McDonald’s more… and I don’t really like McDonald’s. I was going to have a shake, but after the burger, I figured I’d pass…

Great cheeseburgers, fries and shakes. This place has been around forever and is still the best food on highway 6 by far. Walking in here is like taking a trip back in time to the 70’s with great food and nice folks. Highly recommend.

Food is… acceptable. Last time I was there they were out of almost everything I wanted. It smells funny and no one is ever really there though. Their saving grace was a Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles pinball machine… which was broken last time I was there. Fix the pinball, I’ll suffer through the food. I mean, how many places sell Buffalo?

Such delicious food! The burgers and fries and chicken strips were all amazing! Wish we lived closer… we definitely would be back often.

Me and my friend drove all the way from Sugar Land just to try these burgers out! And it was totally worth it. We ordered double cheeseburger and they were very juicy. Would go again to try the rest of the menu. Completely satisfied! !

This is not a fancy place! The food is fine for the price but I wouldn’t go too much out of my way to eat here.

Sitting here sippin’ on my tasty chocolate malt now as I write this. There is nothing super unique, but what they do they do well. Prices are good — cheap burgers with more cost for specialty items (ex. Buffalo burger), but still as it should be priced.
The Philly cheese steak was delicious with a soft roll, lots of cheese, onion, and chopped steak. The sourdough burger was good also. The chocolate malt is amazing — perfect consistency and great flavor. The banana shake was loaded with fresh bananas and was a little thick, but also delicious.
Looking at the Ninja Turtle pinball machine is a must while you wait for your tasty treats.
We will absolutely be back.

I had the Buffalo burger and it was absolutely packed with goodness. The fries were crisped and the shake was chocolatey. My friends enjoyed their burgers as well. One got a triple burger and man o man was that thing huge! They did not skimp on the meat or toppings!
Old feel to the place, prices are very reasonable, and the folks behind the counter were super polite. Can’t wait to go back.

I’ve lived in Alvin for two weeks and have heard so many good things about this place that I had to try it. I wasn’t disappointed. The food and service were great and the place was spotless. I’ll be a regular here, for sure.

Not impressed at all. My malt tasted like it was made from cheap watered down ice cream with no malt flavor. My cheeseburger was so dry and the frys were bla. Waste of $ 16 for 2 burgers, small malt large malt and a small fry. :(

I love you Malt n Burger. You have a Ninja Turtle pinball machine. You are so clean, you dish out food like a dream.
But anyways, it’s a good fast food joint in a crappy location. It’s the best burger in town but too many people would rather eat regurgitated dog shit at mcdonalds, jack in the box, or sonic.
