I decided to try this place because they are close to my home. What a huge mistake! I was needing a couple of holes repaired in a blanket that was sewn by my mother many years ago. I am not sure if it is customary for businesses to require items be dry cleaned before the alteration but this business does. I was not happy about the added charge which should have tipped me off to take my blanket and run. Instead I proceeded with the dry cleaning/alteration. I dropped the blanket off on 9÷26÷14. It was promised to be finished on 10÷6÷14. I went in to pick it up on 10÷10÷14 and I was told that it wasn’t finished yet. They told me it should be ready on Monday 10÷13÷14. That is today. I called them and they told me it still has not come in. It has been 2.5 weeks. At this rate I will never get this sentimental item back. My advice is to steer clear of this business! Edited to add: After writing the original review I called back several times and was told my item still wasn’t ready. Finally, I called on 10÷22÷14 and I was told my blanket was finished and ready to be picked up. I went in on 10÷23÷14 and there was no problem with the pickup. The cashier did apologize for it taking so long to get my blanket back. When I took my blanket out of the bag to inspect it, the first thing I noticed is that it had a funny smell. When I looked at the first smaller hole that was repaired, it looked like it had been sewn by an 8 year old. When I found the second larger hole(about 2 inches long and ½ inch wide) the safety pin was still in it and the hole had not been repaired. For them to have my blanket for almost a month and not even fix what I had asked is ridiculous. However, part of me is glad that it wasn’t fixed because it probably would have been worse looking than the small hole. The previous poster was right: This business has provided the absolute worst service I have EVER received.

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Amarillo, TX
I can’t imagine worse customer service. This could have been an episode on Jerry Seinfeld. Being new to Amarillo and needing a dry cleaning service(I spend $ 50 or so a month on dry cleaning) I was really hoping that these folks would score high, because they are conveniently close to my house. What a disappointment! Drop off was not a problem. I needed a button put back on a blazer and the kind elderly woman that took care of me assured me that was no problem. She didn’t offer a claim check for pick up and when I asked she said that it wasn’t necessary. I thought that was interesting, but fine by me… until I went to pick up my clothes. I went in the morning, the day after my clothes were to be ready. The woman at the desk(not the same one as before) looked for my name in the rotary ticket tray, and evidently didn’t find anything. She asked me when I dropped the clothes off and I told her Thursday or Friday, probably morning or early afternoon. She then started searching through a college-ruled spiral notebook full of entries. After a moment she matter of factly said«It’s not here. Are you sure you didn’t take it to our other store?» I assured her that it was her store, since I don’t know where any other cleaners are, being new to the area. She looked at her college-ruled notebook again and said, «Well it’s not here.» That was pretty much all she intended to do to resolve the issue. I offered that maybe she could look under my first name, instead of last, just in case they were transposed. She reluctantly did so, then announced«No there’s nothing here». I assured her that even though my name wasn’t in her college ruled notebook, my jacket and slacks were in their possession. I described the entire exchange between the first woman and I about the button, the claim check conversation, etc., trying to convince her that the whole thing was not something I had imagined. She challenged me about the timing of my drop-off saying that she would’ve remembered me because her shift overlaps w/the other woman’s for part of the afternoon. I was losing patience by now and told her that other people in my vehicle saw me bring the clothes in and I that I knew my clothes were there somewhere. When I asked if there was any chance that a mistake could be made transferring the ticket number and name to their college-ruled notebook, she responded that there was no chance; «everything is in the book» she said. A full ten minutes have gone by, mostly me trying to persuade her that I had indeed been in there the week before. Frustrated I asked her to look again. I recounted the whole ordeal, and along the way mentioned that it was supposed to be ready the day before, before 5pm. As she was looking she suddenly looked up and said she found it, and proceeded to scold me for not telling her on which day it was supposed to be ready, because«that’s how they find things». Then she pointed to a paper taped to the front door and said, as if I should have read the notice, «It’s not here and it won’t be ready until tomorrow after five. Our machine broke.» No apology for implying I didn’t know where I was or where I dropped off my clothes. No apology for her mistake in finding their record of my drop-off. No apology for not having the clothes ready a day after they were supposed to be ready. Needless to say, I will drive as far as necessary to another cleaners and will never return to Chaparral. By the way, the button was sewed on perfectly and the cleaning was good. The slacks however had dozens of tiny wrinkles pressed into them.
