Yummmm mm, tried everything haha, if I was from around here this would totally be my spot. It’s small and comfortable, made to order. wish they had outdoor seating though!

Excellent food. Have been there a few times for tacos and beef sandwich, very impressive. Also tried their store dish, the el giro, it was so so. Beef tongue taco is my favorite. Open from 8 – 10 Monday thru Thursday. Good place to grab breakfast for class

My favorite taco stop in Amarillo. The tacos might be a bit smaller than the average Texan is used to but at $ 1.25 each and packed with meat, onion, and cilantro they’re the bomb! There’s also a salsa bar that no other place in town can beat.

Real, home style Mexican. Tacos are great, and the salsas are delicious. Recommend the carnitas or the lengua. Portions are small if you’re used to American«tacos,» but normal for a little Mexican joint like this. Get the aqua de melón to drink, and don’t pass up those spicy pickled carrots.

I’ve eaten breakfast from El Giro several times… and have never been disappointed in a single burrito. The place opens at 7:30am, and has a drive-up window, so grabbing a burrito on the way in is easy, quick, and absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the Chorizo, but Sausage and Ham are great too. Haven’t tried any other meal, but the breakfast is A+ in my book… even to a point that my staff and I have a running relationship about it. If they are running late, rather than discipline for tardiness… they bring me an El Giro burrito and we move on… haha…seriously.

This tiny restaurant has some of the best Authentic Mexican food on the west side of town! The staff is always friendly, the drive up is fast and super convenient, and the best part is that the food is inexpensive. I love their asada! We have tried their barbacoa a couple times and it’s not my favorite, but the asada(tacos and burritos) is great! Their salsas are very tasty, as well.

Ordered the taco plate with lengua, barbacoa, and pastor with an horchata to sip on. The tacos were decent for what I’ve found so far for authentic tacos in Amarillo. The horchata was not bad and refreshing. The beans and rice weren’t that great so next time I plan on juts getting the tacos. Heard the relleno is good and want to try that as well. Nothing fancy about the atmosphere, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. My friend’s fork fell on the ground and as soon as a worker heard it immediately got my friend a new one. ***UPDATE Okay I honestly go here at least once every 2 weeks. When you order tacos make sure to ask for your onions grilled AND you must not forget the creamy jalapeño sauce – these make their tacos the best in Amarillo! Might I add, I’ve discovered they make the best breakfast tacos. They are huge and they grate the potatoes and that just makes it so unique. Also great with the jalapeño sauce. What it comes down to is put the jalapeño salsa on any and everything :) Only thing I’ve noticed recently is the taco prices have increased but I am still a loyal fan

My husband and I tried this place over the weekend. The ordering process was a little confusing since the lady did not quite understand what we were trying to order. But, I admit the food was great and definitely authentic. My husband really enjoyed their menudo con pata. We will definitely be returning.

Went to the drive through, not having been and not knowing what to get. The employee had us pull up, handed us a menu and was very helpful with any questions we had. We had a burrito, rellanos and mulitas. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommended and we’ll be going back for sure.

Authentic food, and family owned. The food is prepared with care. This is the kind of food you would expect to find in Guadalajara. Definitely not TexMex, but you will not be disappointed. Authentic drinks like horchata, melon, and pina. Muy sabroso.

Excellent staff. Very friendly. The tacos(pastor, carnitas, asada) were not good. I cannot speak for the rest of the food but i won’t go back based on the taco flavor.

If you are expecting Tex Mex you will be disappointed. However, this is more what you would be served on someone’s home or across the border. They are clean. The menu is a bit limited, but fresh off the parilla. The tacos I ate were really good, but since they are smaller than usual order there or four. My husband enjoyed his flautas. The bean are really good. Not a high class fancy place, but home style Mexican.

Tried the tacos and they’re all great. Ambiance is similar to a fast food restaurant but this food is so much better than any chain I’ve eaten at. –namaste
