One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. A very nice family operation. It is a bit of a hole in the wall, with a few tables and sushi bar to eat, which I love. I’ve had the chance to eat here numerous times now and everything I’ve had has been incredible. I am quickly becoming a regular here and rightfully so. This place is worth your time.

This place is open on Wimberly rd. and is one of the best, if not the best, Japanese food places I have ever been to! We have gone many times, probably more than 10x and always had great service and terrific food. We had tried the Ichiban combination fried rice, Pad Thai, udon pad kee mao, spring rolls, and egg rolls. You will not be disappointed if you get any of these items(and I’m sure the rest of the menu is just as good, I have yet to try the noodles). Every single person that I have taken to eat here has wanted to return again. The amount of customers that go to this place at lunch time will let you know how much the food is truly loved. I recommend going earlier or later than the peak 12 – 1 hour because it is a small place and gets very packed. They also have unique operating hours, so I would research those or call prior to going. Give this place a try if you haven’t already, you will be glad that you did!

Best ramen I’ve ever had… Noodles are homemade and the broth is delicious. Seriously better than any ramen I’ve had in LA, Austin, Houston, or San Diego.

I was in Amarillo on a business trip and a coworker took me to this place. It is very small and very busy. I must say the food was phenomenal! This is a wonderful hidden gem and I will definitely be back. Better than noodle bars I have went to in NYC.

Great food! We’re from Houston TX. We stopped by this place because we wanted to try something local. It was a great choice. I ordered the spicy sesame beef.

Ichiban fried rice might be one of the best I have had. They include several meats too so that is a plus!(Shrimp, chicken, beef) Panang curry is good as well. The only thing that didn’t take me to 5 stars is the atmosphere. When I go somewhere, I like a little bit of something and this place is not warm or inviting.

A friend suggested this place for lunch, and I am so glad she did! I wish I had tried this place sooner. The Garlic Basil Fried Rice is out of this world amazing. The flavor is intense, and it has a spicy heat that is not overwhelming, yet very noticeable. Their menu also specifies the heat level of each dish. Their menu gives Garlic Basil Fried Rice a 2 chili pepper rating, which is classified as «very hot.» They have dishes going all the way up to a 4 chili pepper rating, which is classified as «fire hot.» Ichiban is going into the regular rotation of places to eat. This is a local gem!

This place was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and we got a fantastic show. I ordered the steak and lobster and both were cooked to perfection. The fried rice was like a mountain on the plate. The tempura was excellent and I’m not a tempura person. The sushi was to die for. Man I loved the salmon skin roll, and the eel roll was perfect. Our chef was a blast and gave our family an unforgettable experience. Saki Bomb ! Saki Bomb ! Saki Bomb ! If you’ve been here you know what that means ! I will definitely be coming back to eat here and for me it’s a 5 hour drive. This is most definitely a place to go out of your way to enjoy. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. And best of all a fantastic show by the chef. Trust me folks there’s no way you will walk away hungry or dissatisfied.

Glad we found the reviews for this restaurant, otherwise we wouldn’t have stopped. Ichiban wasn’t open when we arrived at 4:50 pm but promptly opened at 5:00 pm. The restaurant was small, nothing fancy but the service was quick and the food good. As several previous postings, the seasoning tended to be on the salty side. The noodle dishes weren’t too badly over salted but the soup’s broth was too salty to fully enjoy. The rest of the soup was delicious.

The Thai Beef Noodle Soup and the Ichiban Ramen are my absolute favorites. I crave them. And their spicy edemame is the best I’ve ever had.

I have tried this restaurant twice & was extremely disappointed both times. My first visit, I ordered a spicy noodle dish & it was so slimy with egg yolk that I actually pulled over on our way home & threw it in the dumpster. So awful, it tasted sour & the egg was a slimy mess all over the noodles. My second time, I ordered fried rice with chicken & vegetables. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t very good either. Maybe I’m ordering the wrong thing, because people seem to really like the food on these reviews. I can’t say I will be back.

I want to come back to Amarillo to try the rest of the items on the menu. So many different choices! Everything sounds and looks really good. Had the tom yum miso ramen. It was light and flavorful with a touch of heat. Not as much as I like, but I added and it was good. Tasted more like tom yum than miso, which is what I wanted. T even liked it and he usually is very particular about Thai flavors. LOL. Place is small and was pretty busy. Service was good. T ordered the wrong thing and they had no issues changing his order, even when they had already started prepping it.

Recently ate here for dinner with a friend, great Chinese food for sure. The restaurant is small and conveniently located on a small shopping strip off Georgia street. Is a small hole-in-the-wall type place with little décor and very utilitarian feel to it. Has an open kitchen where you can see your food being prepared if you seat at the bar. One thing, is busy… always a good sign. We were promptly seated in the only table available. Ordered green tea-very well brewed. I ordered an udon noodle beef stir fry that was simply put, delicious. My friend ordered almond chicken with fried rice. The chicken was good the rice however, not the best I’ve had. Price was quite affordable. For a quick bite of good Chinese food, this seems like a very good place. Will most certainly return.

The food was excellent. We got the green curry ramon and Thai styled curry. The place was very busy at 1pm, but the wait was worth it. We’ll come again next time we’re in town to try the other items on the menu(there’s a lot of options).

Me and my friend got there late. So they run out of noodles soup. We had to order something else so both of us got cold noodles. It was delicious. Very spicy. But very flavourful as well. Definitely will come back. The staff was very helpful as well. She gave us very good advices.

ordered the Thai Beef noodle soup to-go: hot, savory, large portion, barely any beef… Flavor of broth includes a lot of five-spice, star-anise. It’s tasty but very salty. I would have liked more beef in the BEEF noodle soup. I probably had just about 3 or 4 pieces. Portion is large and I definitely had leftovers.

The food was very good but our dishes had excessive salt. The salt problem effected our whole experience. Another problem is that the air conditioning is pretty bad. At least the waitress was very«helpful».

No where on their menu/website did it state that they were closed on Saturday and Sunday! I drove all the way there … just to leave. I am so very disappointed and upset that I could not eat there after reading the reviews and being recommended by the hotel I was staying at. I will always call ahead now after learning my lesson and being left hungry and angry… hangry!
