Great people — Maybe it’s true that Amarillo has the friendliest people in Texas. Stopped for lunch on enroute from Austin to Colorado and had a great lunch. 3 hours of road time later, discovered I left my purse there — drivers license … credit cards … you name it. Called immediately and they were wonderful. Purse turned in and the manager Lori sent it to me overnight! Can’t thank you all enough for this. You’ve got my business. ;-)

Delicious food and tea. The turkey melt is to die for. Service is good, but can be slow if they are busy.

The sandwiches and tea tasted pretty good. Service was slow. They forgot to put mayo on one of the sandwiches. Food prices are fair, drinks are a little high.

Food is terrible!!! Sandwich seemed almost fake, soup is all goop and no veggies or meat. Don’t waste your time here. Jason’s Deli is a lot better. The best ever is Broadway Brew in Plainview Texas. It’s worth every mile, they are so good!

Me and my girlfriend had lunch here one day, i usually give places second chances cause i know it could have just been a bad day, bad server and what not… but not here. NEVER… will i return, had the philly and isnt mcallisters supposed to be known for their sandwiches? well if they are they failed miserably. philly meat was garbage, i couldn’t even finish the plate… tossed it. Skip it if you have the chance

I’ve been several times and have yet to experience a sandwich as advertised. Anything said to be toasted won’t be, anything that should be served hot will be lukewarm if your lucky, and God forbid you ask for any corrections… they react to that like you just called their baby ugly. It’s sandwiches, not rocket science, it REALLY shouldn’t be that difficult.

Their iced tea is addictive. I love their nacho basket which is simply chips and rotel dip. Yum! There Pick Two menu is ur best bet; the half baked potato is pretty much a regular sized potato stuffed with deliciousness.

This just hurts to give McAlisters only one star. It started from the time I ordered. After the lady took my order I asked if I could give her my number for the rewards points. She very curtly answered«No. All we have are the tea punch cards.» You are answering to something that you obvious know nothing about. My food came. I ordered my usual. Pick 2. Half baked potato and half sandwich which I chose the french dip. The sandwich came with so little meat just like Linda S states so this seems to be a trend with this McAlisters. This is not the case in all the others I have been to. Then I asked for sour cream for the potato. It has something in it. When I took that up front the girl stated«I am pretty sure it is lettuce.» You are«pretty sure and if so why is LETTUCE in my SOURCREAM? She asked if I wanted her to get me more. Really? You have to ASK??? Potato was cold and sandwich. Well. Take a look at the photos posted of the no meat«sandwich». Another McAlisters is opening in Amarillo. Hopefully not the same management!

I ordered Broccoli and Cheese soup in a bread bowl. It was really good. I also ordered a sweet tea. It was okay… nothing spectacular.

My husband and I went to McAlister’s for dinner last night. We both ordered soup and a sandwich. The soup was lukewarm at best and the sandwiches had very little meat in them. The manager remade our order and when it was brought back to the table there was a long hair on my husband’s plate. Our meal was comped but my husband was so disgusted he did not eat and refused a third remake of his meal.

We are a large group and it’s bit chaotic, but the staff is very pleasant and accommodating.

Always a solid choice, and the many cities we’ve visited McAlister’s you’ve never let us down. Greeted with a smile, great service at the desk, food was prepared and served quickly, and to order. Always amazed at how quickly the line gets taken care of… great job at taking care of a large number of people. New to town, and this was a familiar name… we’ve got other places to explore, but we’ll be back!

Food is great!!! Salad and sandwiches are the best and the sweet tea is amazing. Don’t come during the lunch rush on week days. Price is good. Try the choose two sandwich and salad or soup or potato. It’s all good. price is reasonable… wifi was pretty quick. waiters/waitresses were friendly… food came out at a reasonable time. by far the best deli ive been too.

I decided to have a mid-week dinner with my mother and we decided on McAlisters for a quick/easy meal. We each had a pick 2 combo(you can choose from items such as ½ sandwich, ½ potato, small salad etc and make your own combination of the two). Mom had ½ McAlisters club and a small ceasar salad. Both of them she said were good but, and they looked nice. I had a ½ Memphian and cup of tortilla soup. My sandwich was sad, I think they mistakenly sent out ¼ of a sammy because it looked dwarfed on the plate by the pickle spear. What I did get to taste was pretty good though. The tortilla soup is excellent. They do quickly refill their tea etc, but I can not understand why they think their tea is so revolutionary. The staff is also nice and VERY quick to clean their tables-I’m talking, don’t put your fork down unless you are done! Overall its a decent place to grab a quick meal but I’m not sure I’d drive acorss town to get there…

First time at McAlister’s and I don’t think I will return to this establishment. Ordered a bowl of soup and the spud max potato. The soup came out barely warm and I had to send it back to get reheated. I believe the confused cashier entered my husband’s order in wrong because his meal was very sad looking. He ordered the French dip with chips. First off, the chips were never delivered and his sandwich was very small. It looked more like half a sandwich really. When it got busy we watched, who I assumed was a manager, try to wrangle people who were trying to find a seat. He was trying to get them to wait until entering the seating area so he could regulate when people left that the next people in line could get their table. However they manner in which he did it would have put me off from coming back even before I had tried the food. He was gruff and not pleasant and didn’t know how to handle it in a way that seems like he was trying to help the customers. Instead it was more like him stressing out and taking it out on the customers. We were sitting right by the walkway to the main seating area just watching the show. Will go to Jason’s Deli if I want deli type foods, not McAlister’s.

Received the wrong salad. Right salad was not very good. Loud crowd that night. S L O W service. Definitely no Panera Bread competitor. Probably not going back…

Varied menu with traditional deli favorites like French Dips and Club Sandwiches. The Chicken Tortilla soup is wonderful! Delicious sweet tea, fast & friendly service. Convenient location just east of Soncy on 34th.
