I love BBQ, grew up in Pampa with the best. So that is why it is always a challenge for me to really give BBQ anywhere else a reasonable chance. But it does happen. So this review stands on it’s own without any past bias(as much as possible). We have gone to eat here twice now, and it is, at this time, a fairly new restaurant here in Amarillo, so we waited for the initial«new» to pass and let them settle into their business. What a pleasant experience both visits have been. The first visit, my wife ordered the two meat entrée and I ordered the three meat entrée. We were very happy with the food that was served. Very fresh, very tasty and of very good quality. Sometimes we can struggle with meats(the blessings of growing old), But the meat was so tender that it was not a problem at all. I got the pork, brisket and smoked sausage for my choice and was very happy with the meal. The sausage was just a little different then what I am use to, but different isn’t always a bad thing. In this case it was a very good sausage. The pork and the brisket was excellent. The sides I choose were cole slaw and potato salad. The cole slaw was excellent. The potato salad was good too, but, I can’t judge it because my Mom make absolutely the best potato salad… ever. Sorry Rib Crib, you can’t compete with Mom! I am a rib lover from way back, I believe if you’re going to do BBQ ribs, you better set yourself to the task. Thus, I usually won’t order ribs on a first visit because I have paid for too many anorexic ribs with very little meat. My wife, however, ordered the ribs and the smoked turkey with a side of beans and the potato salad. I was so jealous! Those had to be some of the best looking ribs I have seen. She enjoyed both the ribs and the smoked turkey as much as any she has had in a while. She also commented on how special the beans were and how they were much better then the usual beans you get when eating out. I was way too full to try any of hers at the restaurant, but she was nice enough to bring one of the ribs home. I ate it the next day. Even cold these ribs can stand with the best! The second visit was just a quick evening meal because I was wanting to try their hamburgers. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger so I could get a baseline on their burgers. Amarillo has some really outstanding burgers in the most unsuspecting places. But this one stands with the best. My wife ordered the nachos(I believe they were called Smoked Chicken Nachos, but check the correct name on the menu). Her report was that they were excellent and the chicken was very tender and flavorful. Since we are«older folks», I am retired, we felt like the only down side was it was a little cold in the restaurant for us. But hey, bring a light jacket and you’ll be fine. Once the food gets to the table, you wont think about it! We will be back! Preceding is only my opinion.

Ok, we tried the Rib Crib again and everything went good. I guess the first visit was not a good experience. We had a good waitress named Taylor that was right there when we were seated, she was attentive but not bothersome. I had the three meat plate and it was all cooked good and was tasty. My girlfriend had the nachos and said they were good. I will be back.

Rib Crib — 7:30pm — 11.21.15 My dad was in town last night and he was craving some good BBQ, he decided we should go to Rib Crib. There was a 30 – 40 minute wait for a table, no big deal for a Saturday night. Once we were seated, our server came right away to get drunk orders. I also have to comment on the kids’ menu packets — awesome! They have these little flexible, tacky sticks that the kids use to make shapes. Pretty cool, and a nice departure from the usual crayons. I even played with them a bit(; Dad and uncle split a full rack of ribs… Which were tender and juicy, as always. Dad commented that they’re some of his favorite ribs around. The kids had Mac and Cheese, ate 4 bites, as usual. I don’t know how they aren’t skinny, I never see them eat! Boyfriend ordered the sliced brisket with coleslaw. I tasted an end and the brisket was super smoky and flavorful. A tad bit dry, but that’s not surprising for sliced brisket. He said the coleslaw was delicious but I didn’t taste it because I hate cabbage. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and Cheese. The CFS was really good. Thin and crisp, not too much batter, and it was seasoned well. The mashed potatoes were also very tasty, smooth and well seasoned. The Mac and Cheese was pretty standard, I added some cracked black pepper and it was pretty good. My only complaint was that they were super stingy with the gravy… They probably put less than ¼ cup on top of the CFS. I planned to ask for more, but I was already half way done by the time our server returned. I would order the CFS again. It’s not the best I’ve ever had but good, nonetheless. Dad had the peach cobbler for dessert, it’s a small portion with 2 scoops of ice cream and at $ 2.99, can’t be beaten. It was pretty tasty — I liked that it wasn’t overly sweet. Over all, a very good meal!

Went there at about 4:15pm on a Friday. The temperature inside was cold. I mean I’m wearing a hoodie and it was cold. The baby back ribs were dry and flavor less. The potato salad was good. I got the Philly griller and truthfully, it was pretty bland too. The fries were crispy and seasoned with chili powder. Sweet n low/sugar packets had to be asked for as they weren’t on the table. The pickle spears were limp but flavorful. It’s not an experience I’ll repeat anytime soon.

I ordered the shrimp and pulled pork combo. The shrimp was fresh and the pulled pork was tender but lacked flavor. When ordering my sides, I was informed that they were out of fries, onion rings and fried okra. This was disappointing due to the fact it was only 8 o’clock and there was hardly anyone there. All the high chairs’ straps were broken. My son’s burger’s bun was soggy and the meat was like a hockey puck.

Enjoyed eating at this new BBQ restaurant. The ribs were great. Also tried the smoked chicken — very good. The BBQ ranch for the salad is a special treat. The pecan pie needs some work.

Not impressed and over priced. We got two different kind of ribs and neither were good… the pulled pork was dried out and tasted like it has been sitting around all day. The cowboy beans were good and the service but thats about it. We will never go again.

I had the baby back dry rub ribs, cowboy beans, and potato salad. It was good, not great. The service was excellent and is what bumped up the review to a four star. I’d hit this place again for a casual dining experience.

Everything was great! Only thing I would say is that I ordered a pulled pork sandwich but it wasn’t on a bun or bread. There was one piece of toast cut in half next to the meat. I verified with the staff that, that is how the sandwich comes. It was ok but I would rather a BBQ sandwich be on a bun or at least 2 full pieces of bread. I’ll go back but I’ll order a burger bun on the side haha

Had the Cribwich. Brisket was dry, hot link was good, love the spicy BBQ sauce and fries were cold & soggy. Didn’t go in till 9:30pm but fries should always be cooked when ordered. Better luck next time.

Good service, FANTASTIC food! The best chicken I have ever eaten. I am forever spoiled for other smoked chicken. Others in my party had brisket, ribs, and a burger. All good. Best potato salad and mac and cheese ever.

We went to ribcrib last week with a pretty large group {15ish} & the service was great & the food was fresh & very tasty. I had the chopped brisket sliders with the sweet beans & it was really good. We also ordered this in for a birthday lunch at work & everything was correct with our order & the food was hot & everyone seemed to enjoy it. The only complaint I have is that the sauce isn’t my favorite. They have 3 at the table {hot, carolina, & mild} The hot is very vinegar-tasting & the carolina has a mustard base {which I do not like} so mild is the only one left… It isn’t anything special & is pretty bland for a bbq restaurant. I wish they would kick it up a notch & add some spices! Overall, a very good experience. The food is flavorful & the portions are hearty.

On Tuesday the all you can eat ribs were fantastic smoked for over 5 hours, fall off the bone tender greatness. $ 5 kids meals that include dessert, awesome. Bottomless sides was a super bonus. My entire eating experience was awesome. I didn’t like the fact I didn’t here the country music I was listening to outside on the patio. I also thought if I heard another bday loud, obnoxious, screaming, happy bday, I would complain, I heard 2 while I was there. Service was good and friendly. The way they made sure everyone had their endless ribs, kept me full. Drinks we all had strawberry lemonade. Great!
