On May 4th, I went to Sanchez Bakery on 10th street and, there was alive cockroach inside where they put the hot fresh bread. I’m not that type of person that likes to complain but, this really disgusted me!

I grew up a few blocks away from the bakery. During my recent visit back home, I was really surprised at how much this small family business grown. I have no idea about the food from the new kitchen, I wish they would stick to what they know, but hey it might be good. The bread itself, man what a variety. And all so good. They have polvorones and conchas in all shapes and forms.

Came for breakfast burritos that are advertised on their window, but they didn’t have any at 9am? Got a churro and donut instead. Churro was cold and had a weird taste to it. The sugar donut was soft and seemed fresh. This also tasted strange to me. I probably won’t be back here. Also they don’t speak English so make sure you come with your other half that does speak Spanish.
