Sonic Drive In

The only reason I gave them a single star is because they at least get the ice cream right most of the time. I usually go by here because it’s close to my house, and it’s been on a almost daily visit for food or drink, ice or ice cream. But I got off work last night and went by to get something quick so I didn’t have to cook late at night. I pushed the button and just happened to look inside and the two young men I could see were laughing and cutting up having fun and for some reason looking at me. When the young man answered the call I gave the order and waited and he came back on after a pause and asked for me to repeat the order again. So I did because sometimes those speaker — Mic systems distort the voice and you can’t understand what the customer ordered. Then after another short pause he asked for the order again and I looked in and they were still having fun at my expense, so being tired from working a very long day I decided that instead of getting into a argument with him that I would simply just leave, so I did. Then fast forward to today, I pulled in and ordered a drink and waited for the total of the order and didn’t get one nor did it show on the display like it should. So after a while probably 5 to 10 minutes I called again and asked what happened to my order and was told that the order would be delivered in order of being ordered. The only problem being I had witnessed 2 other orders being delivered before my simple drink order and they arrived after I did, so to make a long story end I will NEVER go back to this place again EVER!

When I go for fast food, I don’t expect a gourmet meal, but I do expect it to be edible. I ordered a corn dog here once and what I got was a charred rock on a stick. Another time I ordered the popcorn chicken and I got fried crumbs of breading with absolutely no chicken. They also gave me caramel instead of the ranch dipping sauce I asked for. Any time I have ordered a sandwich or burger, it has always been wrong in some way. I have worked in fast food and I understand that it is often a difficult and thankless job, but I feel like if you are producing a product that you wouldn’t eat yourself, there is a problem. Managers of Sonic, please require better from your employees, because it is costing you customers.

When you’re hankering for a burger, nothing beats Sonic. This is basically the In-​N-​Out of the Southwest, complete with special sauce. Don’t forget to get the tater tots!
