This place sucked! I’m currently relocating from Hawaii and went in to use the restroom, my husband was going in to order after me since he had our dog. I asked if I needed a key and one of the 2 rude blonde girls laughs at me and states there is no key, so I go inside. When I came out, she sarcastically asks me if it was locked and laughs. I tell her, I’m sorry but I’m traveling from Hawaii and in Hawaii they all have keys, she says, seriously? I say yes and leave. My husband walks in and the whole time the 2 blondes making his coffee are sitting there talking bad about me, making fun of me saying, as if she’s from Hawaii, she’s such a liar, anyway how long did she drive across the ocean? And laughs. Among other things. My husband had enough and says, «well, actually, it takes 2 weeks to ship a car, 5 ½ hours on a plane to get to LA, a 30 min cab ride to long beach to get your car, and 1100 mile drive from California to Amarillo Texas Starbucks without sleep to get coffee from people like you, Aloha» The girls felt shame and walked away. My 20 year old son was so mad that he took off his shirt with his Hawaiian islands tattoo and walked in, they hung their heads. What a great example your employees lead! Really? I have so much to say, but I’ll just stay humble and say shame on you! I shouldn’t even give 1 star! People with no Aloha! I hope the manager reviews this! Spend over $ 20 in coffee to get made fun of?

Just had the absolute worst experience here! The barista overcharged me and didn’t bother to even consider that he had made a mistake when I asked him about it. And, then it took forever to get my drink even though there were relatively few people in line and a lot of baristas just a waiting around making drinks for themselves. Will definitely not be visiting again. If you can go to another Starbucks, you should! Don’t bother going here!

By far the dirtiest Starbucks I’ve ever seen, the restrooms and the floors throughout were covered in trash. Drinks were prepared well.

Slowest Starbucks on the planet! No matter what time of day-even if there are only a few cars in the drive-thru! Prepare to be in line for at least 20 minutes. Go inside, you say? That’ll take you twice as long… very frustrating!

Another review for the sake of writing a review. Came on a Sunday morning. Where is everybody? No way that my dad’s I’ll-order-at-the-counter would beat my mobile ordering strategy. Except it did. That’s because nobody else was in line and all the baristas we’re dealing with drive-thru. You win this round dad.

Had a quite fantastic experience here. The baristas all took an swift and earnest approach to completing my order even though it was busy. We had a problem with one of the sandwiches and Lauren happily took care of us and made sure we left satisfied. Will definitely stop by on my way back through Amarillo!

Terrible management. Manager cares little to none about the store and it’s obvious in the lack of motivation in the baristas. This location is always out of stock of something. 100% guarantee everytime I go, something I want wasn’t ordered or has run out. There’s a horrible fly infestation along with a mouse that lives under the cold bar area. There is always something breaking(espresso bar, oven, etc) and management does nothing about it. The baristas are fun and hilarious but with all the bad management brings to the place it’s hard for them to be their best. If you are in the Amarillo area and want your fix of delicious Starbucks, go to the Georgia st. location for a pleasant and also quick experience.

I have never had a bad experience here. Everyone is friendly and polite at all times I have been there. I regularly order an iced coffee and it always comes out great.

The barista heres are cheerful and nice! Service wise I think they could kick it up a notch. If the drive thru is crowded, it takes a good 15 – 20 mins to order and get out of it. So, if you see a line of cars wrapping around the corner, your best bet is to park and order inside.

Best Starbucks in town! Everyone that works here is so nice. Shawn in by far my favorite barista and makes the perfect Cinnamon Dolce Latte.

The employees at Starbucks should know how to make basic coffees. Ordered two ice vanilla coffees with cream. The guy looked at me puzzled. He asked if I wanted an Americano. Told him I wanted two ice vanilla coffees with cream. After about a five minute wait I got them hot. They remade it and came back looking like milk. And this point I was gonna take it but the person with me was pissed so we sent them back again. And the person in front of us wasn’t happy either which makes me think this is a recurring theme.

I was just passing through Amarillo, TX on cross country drive to GA. I stopped in to get a coffee and to stretch my legs. When I stepped up to the counter, I wasn’t greeted. It took about 5 minutes for an employee to talk to me. One employee actually had to mention to the one employee working the register to help me. When«Farles» approached me, he appeared dirty. He kept scratching his head while speaking to me– I couldn’t help but think that his filthy fingers would be making my drink. He asked me «What do you want?” — which is rude within itself. And I replied«a grande hot coffee». I patiently waited for him to type in the order and waited for him ask if that was all or if I needed anything else. Instead, he stared blankly at me. Then, I started to tell him my second drink order where he scoffed and rolled his eyes at me. I explained I’m getting two –one for me and my boyfriend. Then with a snarky tone he said, «I am just trying to figure out if your are ONEOFTHOSEPEOPLE that acts like their order is finished but then ends up having 5 drinks.» I was so shocked how impolite and tactless he was. I finished my order and walked away. I understand everyone has bad days, but I’ve never had bad customer service like this at sbux. Customer service has always been their strong suit. It is clear this individual lacks the communication skills required when working in a customer centered environment. It’s safe to say, I will not be coming back here.

It’s a Starbucks. The coffee is good and the baristas have always been pleasant. Sometimes it can be a little slow, but what can you expect when you have people in front of you ordering for their entire office or church group. The layout is strange in the Starbucks. There is not much room for patrons while ordering and forget about getting to the bathroom on a busy day. What matters most is that my drink is made properly and it always is. Cheers.

Slowest Starbucks ever! We waited in the drive thru line for over 30 minutes. I was just shocked at how low the standards were at this location. I was visiting family for the holidays — this is not where I normally go for my Starbucks fix — but it’s the longest I’ve ever had to wait at any location. They said they were, «backed up». Whatever that means.

I haven’t experienced any of the negative aspects others have mentioned, but for the most part — a Starbucks is a Starbucks. It always seems to be faster to actually go inside the store for your drink versus the drive through even though the drive through employees out number the staff serving us walk-in customers. I never get super complicated drinks, but they’ve always gotten my order right and have been pleasant and cheerful.

If I could give this dump a negative star I would. What the hell? Two time I go here and try to order hot tea and all these turds have is refresh? Then they are out yesterday so do they get some in today? Nope why do that. As long as there are only two Starbucks in Amarillo, I guess why bother having any standards. I will be writing corporate.

Of all the Starbucks in all the towns in all the world, I had to walk into this one. This used to be the only one we went to. Now it’s the one we avoid. Today, however, we were on this end of town when my iced chai tea latte craving hit, so Starbucks on Soncy it was. For starters, this place is the worst laid out of any I’ve been in. There’s less room to maneuver around the counter than the airport stores. Woe to you if you’re in line and someone has to get past you to reach the bathroom in the rear, and if the space wasn’t at enough of a premium, someone had the genius idea to put freaking tables and chairs against the wall to narrow the gap that much further. Then there’s the issue of being slower than Cousin Edith getting out of the bathroom after eating too much cheese. Today the drive up line of cars wrapped around three sides of the strip mall, and the inside line was two rows deep, but did they have both registers running? Was the counter jockey moving things along quickly and efficiently? No and no. One register, and she couldn’t shut her yap long enough to call out the orders. Upon finally reaching the register, my husband attempted to order a Caramel Brulee Frappuchino, only to be told they were out. More specifically, «That’s over with.» Really? Then why is it listed in big letters on that chalkboard on the wall behind you? Fine, he got something else. At last I got my Iced Chai Tea Latte. Hooray for me. I headed to the fixer upper counter by the door, only to discover the Cinnamon shaker is empty, the Vanilla one looking suspiciously crusty, and a third shaker essentially empty and with no name on it to tell me what it was anyway. While I was staring sadly at what I suspected might have been the Nutmeg shaker I’d been after, I heard the yappy counter jockey tell someone they couldn’t have a banana smoothie because they were out of bananas. «Actually we’re out of smoothies. But we have frappuchinos!» Well, except for caramel brulee frappuchinos. Crowded, slow, dirty, unorganized. Last time we ever go to this location. Oh, and before we left Amarillo we went to the Starbucks off I40 and Grand, and they were more than happy to whip up the Caramel Brulee Frap that Soncy claimed was«over».

I’m not from the Amarillo area, but this Starbucks was convenient for us to drop by on our way from the Drury Inn to Canyon. It’s easy to access right off of Soncy and get back on, always a plus. They made my drink perfectly on the first try, getting the cream right despite my measuring system that seems to befuddle some baristas. I didn’t go in, but what I could see looked clean and well kept, and the exterior was clean and nice as well.
