The best salad ever! I had the goat cheese salad with chicken. It was amazing. The staff is very friendly and the outdoor patio is lovely. I highly recommend lunch at Roosters!

I think this very well may be the best food I’ve found in the Amarillo area! I have lived here my whole life but I did not know until recently that Rooster’s not only sold coffee and tea, but also had some really great lunch options! I came here with my boyfriend and he ordered the chicken mushroom melt and I ordered an bacon spinach quiche. I also ordered an iced chai tea while he ordered a house coffee. The drinks were delicious, some of the best I’ve had! Then when our meals came out, I was amazed at how beautiful they were! The house salad had pineapple, strawberries, walnuts, and cranberries on top of a bed of greens served with a delicious dressing. His sandwich was amazing as well! I also loved the atmosphere, it was very relaxed and quaint. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for very fresh, great quality food and a relaxing atmosphere. I’ll be back for sure!

The apple walnut coffee cake was A-MAZING! Sweet little shop with decent coffee(not really that strong for a daily blend). However, the menu is awesome and the woman working the counter was kind, knowledgable, and willing to help. It’s a little gem!

I have to update my review, I’ve gone back several times since the last time I posted my review. The food variety is excellent and the service has much improved, the ladies who work at the front counter are pleasant. I just wish they had longer hours, Amarillo is seriously lacking in a restaurant such as this. I suggest that you try it out if you haven’t already, it’s a bit on the pricey side but well worth it due to the quality of the ingredients and the multitude of options.

Had my first experience at Roosters this week for lunch with friends. Very quaint and small; the big comfy couch, paintings and some stained glass give it a pleasant café feel. They had several ‘specials’ including quiche and chicken salad, which both ended up being quite good. The chicken florentine quiche included a rye roll(just so-so), and a salad that was just wonderful. Raisins, pineapples, strawberries on a bed of fresh lettuce. The chicken salad sandwich came with gourmet potato chips. Good coffee and tea, with a good selection of both. I will definitely go again. I am curious about the meatloaf sandwhich…

Besides my bad experience at the start of the new year 2014, they have improved. They are nice folks, and their food is delicious I must say. No hard feelings, Roosters!

We stop here for lunch when we’re passing through Amarillo. The salads are fresh and the specials are interesting. Always good food, though they often sell out of some things. So beware if you are a late luncher.

I would love to give this place five stars, the comfy couch, intimate setting, great tea selection, and decent coffee all weigh in their favor, however they have no Internet connection. I find this totally counter-intuitive to being a coffee place and bad business in general. Lovely place but hardly feasible with no Internet.
