East bound and down? Pull over just past the Lone Star Stale Line for a popular photo opportunity. At the Texas and New Mexico border, East bound on I40, just pass the New Mexico signs and little Texas State Line sign, get to the right and prepare to exit for E66. but don’t. Just past the exit is a warn and wide gravel area where countless travelers have stopped for a photo opp being welcomed to Texas. It’s a big sign but as the saying goes, «Everything’s big in Texas». You’ll also notice there’s nothing much more to see here. Get used to it. There hours of more of that to come. So pull over, take your picture and stretch your legs. You’ve got allot of road ahead but at least you’re in Texas ‘y’all.
