First time at Andy, tried their breakfast 1…buffet was scheduled to start at 9:00 am, was not ready, nothing marked, food not good, 2…waited for a server and Asked server not to pour coffee near or over or near my grandson head, she ask for my cup and pour coffee next to his head Now told if ordering from menu, food was great. So I will give them another opportunity to redeem my opinion

I’ve been here several times and the food is always hot, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Great place for families.

I had the salad bar. It was alright but not much selection, especially for a vegetarian. They really should be trying to hire more people. It was close to noon on a Sunday and packed. Our waitress had multiple tables with multiple people. That being said – as a former service industry worker – it’s understandable. I would come back if there were more options.

First of all, ask to sit in Samana’s section. She’s great! Next, be sure to check out the soup and salad bar. It’s one of the reasons we love coming here. Always fresh and well stocked, its nice to see in a «diner». The portions here are always enormous, so be prepared to eat. The entire staff will always make you feel welcome, regardless of what time you go. If you love diner food(and an amazing bakery selection), check this place out!

Every Monday morning for the past 6 months we have had breakfast at Andys. We have found their food to be top notch and plentiful. The wait staff is always ver attentive. Andy’s offer breakfast specials that cannot be compared anywhere else for quality and pricing. We highly recommend this diner for breakfast. Unfortunately we have not had the chance to have lunch or dinner there as yet. For breakfast you will not be disappointed!

Whenever I go to a diner for the first time, I always order a cheeseburger deluxe — the staple of any diner. Unfortunately, it wasn’t up-to-par. The burger was okay, but the fries were a disaster. They came out cold and I mentioned that the fries weren’t any good. She said, «Oh, have they been sitting out too long?» Really? You would think they could serve fresh fries. So she brought me a fresh batch. Still not hot. Geez Louise! They have a large brunch buffet with made-to-order omelettes. But, holy cow, that service area was full of smoke because there was no ventilation. So we left smelling like semi-burnt omelettes. Overall, I was disappointed with the diner. The people are nice, but…

Wife had Chicken Marsala, I had Veal Parm at 6:15 pm Saturday. Service was good. Support staff was responsive to the restaurant cleanliness and keeping the soup and salad bar stocked with fresh iems. Our dinners were full portions and very good. Keep in mind that this is a diner. Overall, it is very good for a diner.

I’m not quite sure why there’s negative reviews about this place. It’s a charming diner. The wait staff is fantastic, and the food was delicious. My coworker and I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they were full of crab meat. There were three of them and they were more than enough for an appetizer. I ordered the tuna melt and it came out very hot. There was a lot of tuna salad and the bread was pressed perfectly. The French fries were wedge style. My coworker ordered the short stack of pancakes, and they hit the spot. They whip their own butter at the restaurant. Their syrup has a smokey flavor to it. The whole bill was only $ 24. The waiter was very attentive and great at making suggestions. The manager was funny. He had no problem of taking silly photos of us in front of some of their signs. The service was quick. We had wifi. The place was clean. What more could you want from a diner? I’m definitely coming back.

We ended up at andy’s at 3 am. Our hostess was warm and welcomed us properly even at this odd hour. Food was served pretty quickly. For folks with a big appetite farmers breakfast is what you want to have. It comes with 2 eggs, 2 big pancakes and 2 French toast with some meat. I requested for a fruit bowl instead of meat and they were sweet to give that to me. Will go back soon.

Puzzling why there are so many really bad reviews here. We went today(Sunday at 2:30) for a late lunch. We were seated quickly, and visited by our waitress(Sharon) promptly. We chose to order pretty safe diner fare for our 1st visit. Chopped sirloin w/mashed and gravy, and ham steak. Both choices were pretty much as good as any we have had. We sampled all 4 soups: A previous reviewer complained about the matzo ball soup, OK it was not like my Grandmother used to make but seriously, that wasn’t gonna happen right?. It was however a very respectable version. The balls were light and the soup was rich and flavorful. Very good! Lobster bisque was surprisingly good. The roux was cooked out perfectly(so no raw flour taste) like many other diners. There was a distinct flavor of lobster, albeit no pieces in the soup. Seriously, I would have been shocked if there were at a diner. I would definitely have this again Italian wedding soup was good, small meatballs with escarole in a chicken based stock. Very respectable. Chicken soup, was pretty good. A tad too salty for my tastes. May have evaporated some water. Will try again another visit. Salad bar options were all fresh tasting, albeit they only had iceberg lettuce. Cole slaw was very good. Many choices here. All in all, we had pretty low expectations(after reading the reviews) but decided to try for ourselves and very happy we did. We will absolutely be back and will be more adventurous with main dishes. I want to try their Greek fare. Lastly, a previous reviewer actually complained about the prices? Really? I had 4 soups, salad, chopped sirloin with caramelized onions and a nice brown gravy with mashed. all for $ 9.99(was a daily special) In my book, that is more than reasonable, it is downright cheap.

Andy’s seems to have the«jack of all trades, master of none» complex. Dostoyevski must have created the menu, and the choices were from disparate cuisines and meal options(I can order a chicken parm whenever I want?). Unfortunately, the Farmer’s Special I ordered for brunch didn’t have much going for it. The bacon, home fries, toast, and pancakes were all subpar. The service for me has never been outstanding, but I’ve always been treated with deference. Stars for that! The décor seems like it was cobbled together, but I still kinda like it. Don’t come expecting a great meal, but do come to try it and support a new business!

Came to Andys diner will high expectations. Especially since it took forever for the diner to open through renovations. The food was just average diner food but cold. The eggs and sausage were cold and felt like they were cooked a long time before I got there. The pancakes were so small they looked and tasted like they were frozen pancakes that you buy at your local grocery store. Not planning on going back to this diner

I came here for a breakfast meeting with quite a large group. The waitress who attended to us was very friendly and made sure everyone had everything they needed. I ordered the sausage omelette. It came with a side of buttered whole wheat toast and hashbrowns. The food had absolutely no flavor. Everything was bland and tasted the same. I will praise their orange juice however. I consider myself to be someone of an OJ connoisseur(lol) and this was probably some of the best I’ve ever had. But in the end, people come to dinners to get a decent meal, not simply drink juice and talk to an attentive waitress, that being said, the food here is absolutely not worth coming for from what I experienced.

Awful. We should have turned around when we saw how horrible the outside of the building looked, and again when we walked in and they have an entire section with chairs up on tables and someone randomly mopping. There was probably three tables seated, another clue. Flies all over the place, buzzing in the windows and around the salad bar. The entire building inside and out just looked shabby. Boyfriend ordered breakfast(scrambled eggs with american cheese, sausage patty, and white toast). He said it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t look appetizing. Toast was hard with no butter, eggs literally had two pieces of Kraft american cheese on top, looked like a brick. I ordered a cheesesteak, which I knew was a bad idea, but nothing else looked good either. It was terrible. Dry, it was clear they just put a few pieces of American cheese in the roll and put the meat on top, cheese wasn’t melted and onions were raw. Couldn’t eat more then three bites. I also got the salad bar, which had little selection. Iceberg lettuce, cheese. Carrots, peppers, and a few other veggies. Soups were also with the salad bar, and there was a nice hard film over the clam chowder that made me feel nauseous looking at it. Also very pricey for quality and appearance. $ 6 for a salad bar added to a meal, $ 10 for a cheesesteak?! Never again. Never again.

After literally years of waiting to be done«construction» Andy’s diner was a huge let down. When redoing the place they didn’t even make the effort to replace the old water stained ceiling tiles. That should have been a warning sign. Ordered soup and a chicken sandwich for dinner. The sandwich wasn’t much better than something from the Wawa down the block, and twice as expensive. The fries were so overdone that they may have been a holdover from The Drafting Room, to keep the ceiling tiles company. The only redeeming quality was the matzoh ball soup. It being a diner I wasn’t expecting much, but definitely won’t be coming back any time soon.

I just came to this place today for the first time. The hostess was warm and welcoming and I immediately liked the bright, colorful, retro diner décor. I loved the very comfortable and private booths with high backs that separate you from the next booth. The food was quite good for diner food. If I still lived in this area, I’m sure I would come here on a regular basis. The portions are huge; I definitely could not finish everything, but for people who like to take home enough to have a second meal, this is a good place to do that. And I love that they serve Pepsi and not Coke.

My first trip to Andy’s diner(while I am not a huge fan of diners I know a good one when I experience it). That isnt this one. The atmosphere and decorating are what you would expect from a diner. The waitress was doing her job and was helpful in ensuring there was no diary in my scrambled eggs. The food is nothing special. The concern I have with this place is the service from the front person who greets you(and later found out he was the manager). When we were leaving he was on his cell, took the check, payment and didn’t once get off the phone or acknowledge myself or the person with me. That’s such a shame. There was only one other couple in the dining room, it wasn’t a busy morning. I can’t recommend this place but wish I could as it’s convenient and clean.

Just got back from Andy’s new place in Spring House. My review is based solely on breakfast so take it with a grain of salt. I found everyone there to be very friendly, the waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere is pretty nice, feels like a diner I would’ve been taken to as a kid, lots of pictures, knick knacks and tvs with sports center on. The food was pretty good, I had the #9, corned beef hash, eggs, potatoes and toast. The corned beef hash was well done and perfect, the only thing bad was the over medium eggs were a bit runny, but not terrible. The wife had blueberry pancakes and bacon, she thought everything was very good. Prices were a little higher than typical for most breakfast places, but very comparable, maybe even a bit cheaper than Rich’s just down the street. But they do pile on the food here at Andys. We will come back and give it a go again.

Andy’s diner is listed as being in Ambler but its actually in Spring House. Its located in the building that was the former Drafting Room. They have completely renovated the entire interior of the building. The overall layout is close to how the drafting room was laid out. As you walk in the hostess stand is on the left and a new desert area has been installed. As you walk to the front of the building(facing Bethlehem Pike) there is a dining area and the bar is in the same place on your left hand side. The other dining area is to the rear of the building. They have installed a large salad bar in the middle of this dining area and there is seating all around it. The interior décor reminded me of a 50’s style diner due the overuse of extremely bright colors. This isn’t a negative as I really like the gaudy diner theme. The front of house employees were going overboard to be friendly and accommodating. We were seated as soon as we walked in and the restaurant was busy. Our server came over quickly and took our drink orders. The menu is quite large and they have daily specials. I was in the mood for breakfast so I had a western omelette with home fries. My friend tried one of the specials. It was a Ruben and a cup of scratch made soup with cole slaw and fries for $ 5.95. Our coffeed was $ 1.99. The total bill came to just over $ 19. I was a bit apprehensive about a diner going into Lower Gwynedd but I think this place has a good shot. The food is fresh and made on site. The pricing is fair and even cheap if you want the $ 1.99 breakfast. They have a $ 10 breakfast buffet on the weekends.
