Food was great. I got the Branzini with artichoke hearts and capers. Very tasty and nicely prepared and presented. Also tried the salmon. It was also delicious and well made. Tender and moist but nice char on outside. One small thing-The calamari was a little tougher than I’d expect from a nice Italian place. Service was great. Attentive. One of my biggest peaves is when glasses at table are left empty. Never happened here. Someone was always making rounds filling glasses and asking us if we were good. Not too often though which was also nice. I’ll definitely go back.

I absolutely loved my dinner at From the Boot! First of all, the garlic knots they put at the table are to die for, and I had to move the basket to the other end of the table, so I wouldn’t reach for anymore. For dinner, I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was delicious. My companions ordered several other things which all look very good, and our service was great. I will definitely come here again.

Francese entrée dish came with«roasted potatoes.» Two mini potatoes sliced in half was unacceptable. I have never seen such a small side with an entrée.

My fiancée and I went here for the first time tonight and definitely won’t be back. The meat and cheese board was a huge let down– only one kind of cheese and two kinds of meat, none of which were good. We split a carafe of wine(1 glass each) and were fully prepared to have another but our server was no where to be found to order more. Our entrees were good but we got the heck out of there after that. We were in the mood for dessert but we weren’t going to give them any more business. We won’t be back.

Just had my bridal shower here and it went great! Very reasonably priced with yummy food and drinks! Attentive service the whole time, and allowed us to come in early to set up! Very responsive during the whole planning process– was also able to bring our own cake!

Great place in the center of Ambler! The food is delicious and it has a great atmosphere. A great place to take your family, celebrate a special event or just go for a regular dinner. I have not been for happy hour or just to sit at the bar so I would recommend going for dinner.

My husband and I dined here a few weeks ago when we were really craving Italian. We got there about 40 minutes before they closed and they were nothing but nice to us. It’s super cute inside! We were brought these DELICIOUS garlic rolls that I could not get enough of! I ordered a side house salad and the vodka gnocchi. The side salad was seriously the best I’ve ever had! Delicious red onions and Bleu cheese crumbles and an amazing house dressing! I loved it! The gnocchi was incredible as well! My husband ordered a side Caesar and the steak special that night which he loved! Everything seemed to be made from scratch and was just wonderful! We were the last people in the restaurant and no one made us feel rushed to get out. We had a great experience!

My mom and I had a great meal after catching Love & Mercy at the theatre next door. Had a couple of small plates and split a gourmet pizza. Service was great. Atmosphere wide open, elegant, chill. High quality experience at a reasonable price.

We were here for a surprise birthday party for my husband. We had the room downstairs and I can’t say enough good things. The accommodations were great. We had 40 adults and 9 children and there was plenty of room. The food was delicious. The only drawback was there was no handicap access which was a problem for my mother in law. The price was reasonable and I would definitely recommend it for an event. It was great to work with the staff.

Love From the Boot in Lafayette Hill, this place however was a huge disappointment! Expected to get the linguini and clams prepared the same way as I love in Lafayette Hill, however what I got was mostly spaghetti with oil, hardly any clams. My suggestion: don’t waste your time or money on this place. Drive to Lafyette Hill and experience the best.

One of my favorite spots in Ambler. A little on the pricier side but great, authentic Italian food. I have been here several times and never had a problem. The only thing that bothers me is that they don’t take reservations unless you have 5 or more people. I understand but it’s just inconvenient sometimes. Their garlic knot bread is always fresh/hot and you get 4 huge rolls as soon as you sit down. I really like their bruschetta appetizer as well as their mussels and stuffed mushrooms. I have gotten their Chicken Piccata and Shrimp Scampi before, both great dishes. Not too heavy but just enough. I have also had their Vodka Rigatoni — a classic favorite. For dessert; I really like their riccota cake and cannolis. Honestly, I just really like the atmosphere here. It’s in the perfect spot in Ambler where you can walk around to the different shops and bars in the area. Street parking and lots are available as well. All in all a great place for a good meal!

I was here for the first time this past week for a business lunch event, so I think this will be a pre-review since I didn’t exactly experience the full restaurant dining experience. We had a party of close to 50 people and were seated at tables in the downstairs banquet hall. The upstairs looked like a really cool atmosphere with a community table in the bar area. One of my co-workers was raving about this type of setup; great way for people to meet new people kind of thing. While our interaction with the server staff was limited, they were very polite, smiles and welcoming to our party. We had a really awesome spread of food including sopresetta, salami, olives and caprese salad. A mixed salad which was also good but just a tad too much dressing. The main courses were baked ziti, eggplant parm, chicken marsala, meatballs and roasted veggies. All the food was really good and they were kind enough to allow us to take home any leftovers. You typically don’t see that in a buffet event, or at least I haven’t. Oh yea and those garlic knots, warm, fresh and so dangerous! It was a really pleasant experience and I would definitely consider coming back with my gf for a dinner. They did an excellent job at handling our very large party so I have confidence they can handle a party of two with ease.

Not even a place I would take my mother in law. The eggplant parmesan was pounded thin and was no thicker than skin. It had also obviously been frozen and then«heated» to order and came out soggy yet at same time rubbery. Also ordered the grouper special which was an absolute disgrace. The piece of fish was prepared well and seasoned well, however, the clump of pasta it was served atop had obviously been overcooked and then let sit in the strainer until the starches were able to bond together and form into a ball. The sauce also suffered from either lack of experience or complete apathy in the kitchen. Mentioned my dissatisfaction to the manager who persisted in arguing with me for 5 minutes that the problem was not the food but me. She advised me that the eggplant parmesan was cooked in the«traditional» method and that I didn’t like hers because all other restaurants cook their’s wrong. She did credit the meal on the check and offered to replace it but I don’t want food from here even if it’s free. Almost took the free meal and threw it away out of spite! My waitress left halfway through the meal with no explanation whatsoever which resulted in my discovery of the only positive thing I have to say about this restaurant is the bartender was a stand up guy. He was experimenting with his drinks for the new months menu and I was fortunate enough to be his sampler.

Great atmosphere and service, our food came out super fast! But pretty average food. I think I’m just used to all the Philly Italian byobs which have awesome food at awesome prices. Here the menu looked pretty over priced, but it may just be the area. My margherita chicken was pretty ok, and I liked that I could sub in all vegetables for the potatoes. The eggplant parm was much better, with one of the best red sauces I’ve tried. Overall we had a nice experience, but wish the food was a tad better. Also, I was reading all the reviews about the garlic knots, but they’re just regular pack of 4 white rolls with some oil and garlic on top.

My girlfriend and I have been there 4 – 5 times now for both dinners and happy hours, and I can say that I officially dislike the food(outside of the complimentary garlic knots). The pasta dishes are bland, often with poor combinations of flavors leading to overly bitter(or garlic-tasting) entrees. I’ve had multiple dishes, each of which simply had something«off» about it in some way. That said, the restaurant earns a few stars because of the waitstaff, bartenders, beer/wine choices/value, and décor, all of which are great.

This menu is completely unexciting and overpriced. However, everything I had when I was here for dinner on Tuesday was great, and the portions are huge. I ordered a side portion of the arugula salad, and it was amazing– lightly dressed with a balsamic dressing, with pine nuts and cheese and olives aplenty. Then I got the small portion of the bruschetta, which was also really good– fresh tomatoes, lots of cheese and garlic and olive oil… definitely large enough for two people to share by the way. The person I was with got the appetizer portion of the mussels, and it was a huge bowl of garlicky tastiness. We also both got desserts– my cannoli was massive, and filled with ricotta cream. It had a lot of cinnamon in it unfortunately– but I still ate it :) It was good, just not very traditional. Our total bill for two people with tip was $ 50. So, you can get an affordable meal here. Just be sure to order off the appetizer menu!!!
