Been going her since it first opened for about 7 – 8 years now. The original owner sold it to the current owner. I live in AZ now and we come every time we come to UT. Food is great! The owner is a jerk. Every time we come and he takes our order, he always seems to be a jerk. We ordered their 10 piece and asked for half and half on sauces. He made us get two 5 piece meals and it cost us $ 1 more. The money is no big deal, but he doesn’t care about repeat business. I already get nickel and dimed at bigger chains. I don’t expect that at a mom and pop shop. Shawn Echols

You don’t come here for good service, especially at the end of the day when they’re about to close, which is as early as 45 minutes before closing time. But the wings and tater tots are awesome! My co-workers introduced me and the top picks are hot garlic pepper, hot parmesan and spicy hawaiian. It comes out to roughly $ 1/wing but I pick it over the tiny wings you get at Buffalo Wild Wings. Dont forget to sign up for the rewards club! After $ 100 spent you get a $ 10 gift card.

I think they’re wings are friggin’ delicious. There are two reasons I’m giving them three stars; they are WAY too expensive, and they’re boneless wings are a joke. I went there with my wife and got some wings, mine were great, my wife’s bones teriyaki wins were pretty gross. It was a giant chicken tender(a full filet I guess) swimming in a solid half inch of runny teriyaki sauce. What a shame. I love their wings so maybe one night when I have some extra cash and my wife is out with her friends I’ll go back.

I’ve never had more bone dry wings in my life. The old owners drenched their wings in amazing sauce. These wings are the most dry things I’ve ever had. Disappointed after spending 50 bucks here.

The service is terrible. The owner is a worse version of the soup Nazi. I’ve been going here since I was sixteen. It was the go to pig out joint for my buddies and I. The food is phenomenal don’t get me wrong, but the customer service counter acts all merits the food deserves. You’d expect a hole in the wall joint to give you that community feel your looking for. the owner will nickel and dime you for everything. Extra sauce for $.65, won’t let you split a large single entrée to try multiple sauces(even on 20 wings+ orders) without purchasing multiple entrees for their premium, and hyper-strict on lunch special times down to the minute. Since it has switched ownership the prices have gone up, the ratings have gone down, the current owner is gliding by on the previous owners recipes, and you can tell the current owner is milking this place for a lifestyle instead of trying invest in the restaurant’s success. If you do decide to eat here despite of its terrible customer service you can’t go wrong with any of the hot sauces except the lemon pepper(literally deep fried wings with lemon pepper sprinkled on top). Fry sauce is unique and is a combination of ranch and a lighter version of fry sauce. Again phenomenal food, atrocious customer service.

If you want some crappy, soggy, old wings then go to BWWs. If you want fresh wings then the Wingshak is the place for you. Their garlic pepper is the best but all of the flavors are good.(Be sure to say you want them extra crispy. You’ll thank me later.) The teriyaki fries are uniquely delicious and worth a try!

Although it is kind of expensive, this is the place to splurge on some really great wings. their sauces are unique, and they have a lot of options from burn your mouth off to simply having a tasty wing combo. Way better then any other wing place it bad in Utah county.

My husband and I have lived down the street from the Wingshack for over a year and somehow barely went for the first time. It’s a typical walk up to the counter and order kind of place. The restaurant could definitely use some aesthetic updates but overall, we had a good experience there. The owner was friendly and the wings were good.

I am so torn on rating this place. I have been there a handful of times and have gotten both bad and good customer service. I have also had food that was good and then food that was GREAT. Rocky Mountain you got me trippin! One time they were out of cup lids. Made my to go order and drive home a slow one. Annoying. The garlic pepper sauce is so yummy. I like the spicy version and feel like it doesn’t kill my partial love with spicy things. The pineapple sauce was way too sweet for my taste. I love the boneless wings. I love them because they are HUGE and they are real chicken breasts. There isn’t a thick coating of too crunchy breading either. Just be aware it’s not like a chicken finger. I haven’t seen anything like it elsewhere and I know some won’t like it but it was really yummy to me. Now for my biggest qualm. I love fries. So they had thin crispy fries most of the times I went. They had a yummy light seasoning that I enjoyed. Then another time I went they were thick and soggy. I almost cried… That’s how precious my fries are to me. Not sure if they changed it or they just ordered the wrong fries from their supplier? Huge let down. I will try this place again I’m sure… I will cross my fingers that it and it’s fries are in order!

Their tots and fry sauce are really good! Unfortunately that’s as good as my review will get. I got a takeout order for work. I work on my computer so I got the boneless wings to avoid a mess, but they were salty… really salty. I don’t know if it was the chicken breast(which on its own the chicken was good) or the sauce they baked it in, but it was overwhelmingly salty. I tried dipping it heavily in ranch but it was just too much. I didn’t finish it. Their bone in wings may be 1000x better, but at this point it was the first and last time I go here.

This place was delicious. My husband and I both got boneless wings. Buffalo and Terriyaki. I wish there was more to it than just eating wings. I got tired of eating the same flavor after a while. It’d be fun to get plain wings and try all the dipping sauces. Very good for wings!

I love Wingshak. Some of the reviews are talking about the cranky owner, but I don’t see how it matters when the food is so good. He also isn’t really cranky, just more interested in getting things done quickly. Definitely try the garlic pepper sauce when you go. Try the XX spicy version of it if you aren’t completely against heat, it’s my favorite and really isn’t hot. Their fry sauce is unique and awesome. They also have Pepsi which is a huge plus. Their boneless wings are a bit light on sauce, but their traditional are nice and saucy without swimming in it.

The wings are good but the service is horrendous! We were in the car and called ahead to get a jump start on our wings. We were put on hold which is not a big deal. Except instead of actually putting us on hold, he just set the phone on the counter so we could hear everything going on at the place. After about 15 mins of listening to people talk(and now 2 minutes away from the restaurant) the worker gets on the phone again and tells us(very rudely with a sharp tone) to call back in 5 mins… I go inside to place our order in person and the line moved so slow. They have one register. Every time I go here in person they take phone calls as priority but every time I call they take in restaurant orders first. I ended up walking out. They really need to get their service down before they lose even more customers. Until then, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

Just an average wing place, pricy for what you get. For being midday on a Saturday, they were pretty busy. Fairly quick service. We ordered 5 wings of medium chicken wings at $ 6.50 and upon request they come with a dipping sauce and a few small sticks of celery. They were very light on the sauce. Decent size Wong. The sauce was nothing special, tasted like what you buy at the store. Also tried a 5 wing of hot garlic pepper, much better sauce. It had so much more flavor than the medium sauce. Not as oily too. I also got the large boneless chicken, no bones for the kids. It really just seemed like frozen breaded chicken that was cooked and threw some sauce on it. Very light sauce on it too. Decent size pieces. But for a large it was $ 10.25. I personally would rather have the ones from Applebee’s any day over these. The dipping sauces were okay. The ranch was a pretty decent but thin ranch. The blue cheese was really hard to tell it was even blue cheese. Good amount of seating in the place. And had large tv for your viewing pleasure. Pretty clean place too.

Went way downhill when they changed ownership. Prices went up and service went down. I asked why the massive hike in prices: «There is a chicken wing shortage.» Oh? Funny, no other wing places changed their prices.

I’ve been coming here for years. Flat out the best wings in Utah. Very friendly staff, they greet me by name and did I mention the best wings in Utah? I recommend either traditional(medium or hot), hot parmesan, or hot garlic pepper.

I’m dropping my review from 5 stars almost to 3. The only thing keeping it at 4 stars, is I can’t find anything better in Utah. The wing sauces are good, particularly the hot garlic and the hot parm. The tater tots are also great, nice and crispy. The wings themselves are a bit lacking, not what they used to be. However my biggest reason for downgrading from 5 stars is their weak blue cheese. Great wing places(outside of utah) usually have a very chunky blue cheese sauce, theirs is cheap with no chunks, almost a ranch. Last when I order my wings wet, and pay extra for it make them wet, don’t just drizzle a little extra sauce so you can save $.

The wings are really good. The problem is though that the service is really slow. I had a group of 6 by the time the last of the 6 got is food the two that got their food first were already done eating. They only have one register and can only take one order at a time. It seems they only have one fryer too so the food comes out really slowly. By 12:15 the line was to the door. I saw 10 – 15 potentual customers just leave because the wait was so long. It’s too bad because the food is great. Unless you can go early or late and miss the rush or have 90 minutes for lunch this place won’t work for most people unless they can scale up and provide faster service.

This is the first time that Unilocal has led me astray. Average rating of 4.5. I did not get this place at all. Everyone was saying how much better it is then Bdubs… its nothing great. DONOTGET the boneless wings… the boneless wings are… a grilled chicken breast drenched in sauce. The two sauces we got weren’t that great. They both tasted like buffalo sauce… one had garlic on it. Price… not much different than bdubs. we dropped 23 bucks but got less flavors than we normally get. Everyone was raving about the tater tots… and I have advice for them. Go to the costco frozen section, purchase the giant bag of tater tots… and bake them. Don’t get me wrong the tater tots were good, but if you are going to build something up… they better be unique. It is a nice and clean establishment, but its pretty cramped. And their ranch dressing is good haha. All in all I just felt super disappointed with this place. Nothing spectacular or original.

I love this hole in the wall, super awesome chicken wing shack! They’re a little more pricey than other places such as wing nutz or buffalo wild wings, but wayyyy worth it. These wings are huge. Honestly, I would say they’re about twice the size as what you would find at those other wing places. I recall paying about $ 6 for 5 wings. Trust me you don’t need any more than that. It’s just nice to have a small quite sports wing place. I think they could seat about 30 people. They have a pretty good lunch combo deal. About $ 10 for 5 wings, a medium drink, and a side. Love the Spicy Garlic wings! Apparently, they also have a 12 hot wing challenge, which it seems a lot of people complete. Wish they were open on Sundays, but I understand no one wants to work on Sundays.
