This is the most reasonably priced and genuinely nice jewelry store I’ve ever visited. I’ve twice had rings serviced by the shop and have been relieved by their low prices– a fraction of what I expected to pay. Their honest prices will keep me coming back.

My boyfriend and I just left after looking at engagement rings with Kyle and it was HANDS DOWN the best experience we have had. We have been to several stores and none of them have been this awesome. Initially, looking at engagement rings can be very overwhelming. With it being such a big decision with a price tag to match, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than Kyle to guide us through the process. He was suggestive without being pushy, extremely friendly and very warm. You guys definitely earned our business when that special day comes for my boyfriend and me.

I didn’t get my engagement ring from them but you’d think my ring was the only one they’d ever made. They cleaned it, sparkling, and checked the stones for me. I can’t express how happy I am with them! Also went back to find a wedding band for my fiancé and the salesman was so patient and knowledgeable. Very pleased.

I purchased a diamond engagement ring and could not be happier. They had incredible service, answered all of my questions and went the extra mile to include all of the features I was looking for.

I have had several incredible experiences with Ames Silversmithing. The downtown ma and pa Jewelry store has incredible service and very talented jewelry designers. This is the place I had my wife’s engagement ring made! Now she had told me she was not really a diamond girl so I thought I would have Ames Silversmithing design a pearl ring especially for her.
I wanted a classic look, but also something very beautiful… but with anything I also needed it to be in my price range! I met with a designer and we figured out the perfect ring for her! In less then a week it was created and it was absolutely beautiful and well I think she dug it cause she said yes!
We also purchased our wedding rings here and I have purchased a few other items along the way here as well! Every experience was top notch and I’m still over the moon about this place!

I happened to come to Ames Silversmithing with my friend after she had a HORRIBLE experience trying to re-​size her engagement ring at another jewelry establishment that happens to be located on Main Street as well. I was completely blown away by the impeccable service the team here gave my friend. They treated her as if she had the only engagement ring in the world. I can’t say enough good things about Ames Silversmithing — my family has been buying jewelry here for years, so it was the first place I looked when searching out engagement rings. Their staff is helpful and accommodating, they are consistently 10−20% less expensive than the jewelers near where I live (now in D.C., grew up near Ames) and have always been great to work with long-​distance. It’s rare anymore to find a business that earns as much trust from their customers, and trusts their customers in return, as this place does. I’m willing to bet my fiancée looked at 500 engagement rings at 50 different stores — we’ve never once regretted getting her ring from Ames.

Let me share with the world the most fortuitous misfortune that helped me settle on where I purchased my fiancée’s engagement ring.
Several years ago I bought a small amethyst set for my fiancée’s birthday. When one of the settings came loose, I took it to Ames Silversmithing for repair and cleaning. I stopped in to pick up the ring. It was missing. They searched and searched for it, and it was never found. They were as upset I was. They apologized profusely. They promised to make it right. While the loss of a low-​cost but sentimental jewelry piece was unfortunate, they allowed my fiancée to build her own replacement ring. There was no paperwork. No hassle. Just profuse apologies and an assurance that we would be satisfied. We were immediately able to get a replacement ring that we were confident well exceeded the value of the original. Most importantly she’s enjoyed it as much if not more than the first ring.
I knew then that I could trust Ames Silversmithing. I’m not sure I would have had the same fast and satisfying resolution with anyone but this locally owned shop under the same circumstances. They went out of their way to make the situation right and to earn my business. Exceptional personal service. From that moment I knew when it was time to buy her engagement ring I would be doing it at Ames Silversmithing.
They were helpful in explaining everything in detail on both occasions (particularly about diamonds) that we were getting rings from them and have VERY kind financing options. No interest for 6 months that was sealed with a handshake.
I felt that they were exceptionally honest, upfront and working for our satisfaction. We really enjoyed the unique styles and quality work that we were able to get from a locally owned jeweler. We have been thrilled with their service ever since and have had no problems with cleanings or any other products.
They tend to be a little bit more expensive than jewelers that you’ll find at a mall, but the peace of mind and satisfaction we have received from Ames Silversmithing has been phenomenal.
