This was not a good experience. I waited for at least 15 minutes TO ORDER and then another 20 for the food. There seemed to be plenty of people working there, but they were not organized and didn’t seem to have fixed jobs. Every person seemed to be doing a little bit of everything and not very quickly. Plus, it’s really dirty in there. The restaurant looks dreary. The staff look sloppy and unkempt. The banner outside says «Under New Management» but I didn’t see any evidence of that inside.

The posted hours say they are open but then are closed today.
Eventually I did make it in and I noticed that it was very dark and dirty inside. Although the chicken was as good as one would expect, I did find that the amount of effort I had to put in to actually acquire my food was higher than I originally thought it would be. Some of the staff members were really hard to understand for they did not speak clearly, nor did they actually seem to know who or where they were at the time.
Aside from the dirty dusky vibe that was given off from the building, the road outside was definitely not something to be proud of either. I thought I was going to be lost in the dark abyss while trying to maneuver my car though the dangers narrow road full of holes.
Long story short. The chicken was good and that’s what I went there for. Despite the rest of the issues, I cant complain too much because I wanted yummy chicken and that’s what I got in the end.

I love KFC, but the service is TERRIBLE in Ames. Sorry, but I don’t want to wait 30 minutes in drive through just to wait again once I get to the window (no one even acknowledged us for 5 minutes). We drove off after our drinks because we waited another 10 minutes and still didn’t get our food, and I’m sorry, but it was too long and they even got our drinks wrong.
This isn’t the first time we’ve had to wait this long. If this was the first time, I’d give them the benefit of the doubt, but it’s not.
