I came here around 7PM for dinner last night. It was a convenient dinner choice after a movie. My mom and I were seated right away. It took awhile to get waited on, maybe like 10 – 15 minutes. Once she came, she took our drink orders and disappeared for awhile again. We were starving so the wait was definitely annoying. Once she took our food orders we had Cesar salads and biscuits in no time at all. Our order came shortly after. We both ordered the lobster bake and substituted our sides. I ordered broccoli and the lobster baked potato, mom ordered green beans and a baked potato. Our meal was SO good and the service really picked up in the last half of our dining experience. Our total bill was around $ 50. So worth it! This only the second time I’ve been to a Red Lobster and it’s blowing my mind. When our waitress brought the ticket she drew a cute turkey on it :) points for creativity!

This Red Lobster location is pretty good. We tried the lobster pizza which is great! The lobster artichoke dip is a nice appetizer to get before your meal. I would recommend the Ultimate Feast, you get a lobster tail, crab legs and shrimp for a great price. Also love the biscuits here too. If you like seafood this will feed your hunger for it quite well.

The shrimp Alfredo pasta is to die for! I went to this Red Lobster for my anniversary and we had a lovely time. The server was prompt, nice, and very professional.

My wife loves seafood, especially lobster, but I can’t stand it, so until a few months ago we didn’t come here nearly as much as she would have liked because the non-seafood options on the menu were limited and boring. Recently, though, Red Lobster revamped their menu and significantly enhanced the choices for people like me, and I’ve become a real fan. My favorite dish is the pork chops, served with a delicious apple compote; you can get it in a one-chop or two-chop dinner, and I always order the latter just because the second chop makes a great lunch the next day for not much more extra money. In addition to the pork chops, I have also had and enjoyed their wood-fired hamburger and SW chicken sandwiches, as well as a chicken with mushroom sauce dish(which was certainly tasty, but not as good to me as the pork chops, so I’ll probably be ordering the latter most of the time when I come for dinner). One new menu item that I have not yet tried, but will probably do so on my next visit, is the crispy red potatoes. My wife and I just got back a few hours ago from eating her birthday meal at the Ames Red Lobster and both the meal and service were superb. She had a steamed lobster and loved it, and I had my usual pork chops. And of course we both ate those wonderful cheddar bay biscuits. Since it was her birthday I think we could have gotten a free sundae or something(I think I read about this somewhere, but I’m not 100 percent sure) but we were both so stuffed(even though we both walked away with lunches for the future) that my wife didn’t even want to bother asking, which I suppose is one reason she is much thinner than I am. Anyway, if you have been deterred from coming here because of a non-seafood-eater in your group, take another look; this has gone from being one of my least favorite places to visit to being one of my favorites.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Red Lobster. I love their cheddar biscuits! Sad thing, deathly allergic to seafood. I can only get the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. Sad to say, there was no Cajun flavor at all & pasta was over cooked. My fiancée on the other hand got steak and lobster. Lobster was rubbery and way over cooked. She said her steak had more flavor then my dish! They over seasoned it. This was the first time in years since my fiancée has been… Was a disappointment. Good thing was, the waiter did keep our water full.

No matter what you order here it is always good! I love this place, it tends to be a bit on the pricey side but is always good for a night out.

I never absolutely loved Red Lobster before, but then again I’ve never been so limited in my seafood options until I moved to Ames, Iowa from Chicago. It is really comforting to know that there is at least a Red Lobster in Ames to provide, albeit not the fanciest and most decadent fresh seafare, at least better than satisfactory perfectly cooked and consistent lobster, crabs, scallops, shrimps, and fish. The service at this particular location is the best I can ever remember receiving at any Red Lobster. And of course, the cheddar biscuits are still to die for… and probably could die from a heart attack due to the calories of these things.
