Chris is the best massage therapist I have ever been to. He always has the perfect amount of pressure, and I have felt an improvement in the knots in my back after years of unsuccessful therapists.
I schedule an appointment as often as I can!

Do not walk, but run to get a fantastic massage from Chris. I was in town from MN for an acupuncture seminar and desperately needed a massage. I choose Chris and he gave me the best massage I’ve had in years. He listened to what I said in regards to pressure and my areas of concern. The hot stones he uses are heaven. I can’t wait to go back when I’m in town next.

The reviews do not lie, people. This was an overall excellent experience. As a pregnant, first-​timer to the massage table, I had no idea what to expect, but I felt very comfortable and had a great experience here. I found this location due to stellar reviews and a Unilocal deal for $ 50 for $ ⁸⁰⁄₁ hour massage and it was honestly worth every penny.
Chris took his time in learning about the slew of hip and back issues I have had over the years, and he spent a lot of time working on the areas that have been giving me pain. I thought I would be in tons of pain after working some of the sensitive areas, but compared to physical therapy I felt immediate relief.
Literally, I stood up and could feel improvements in my back, hip, and shoulders. My only mistake was booking an appointment during my lunch break– it was very hard to go back to work after being so relaxed. Then again, it was a great break from the office and I sat up straight the remainder of the day compared to my typical computer chair slouch.
I highly, highly recommend this to anyone with back/​hip/​pregnancy related pain. Chris works wonders!

Wow. I went in for back pain on a Monday and scheduled another session on that same Friday. I’m not a rich woman, but Chris’s massage was worth every penny. I don’t think I’ve ever had a masseur that was so attentive, so spot on with the level of pressure, and so intent on making sure that every muscle in my back was relaxed before I walked out the door. His warmth is shown not only in his technique, however. He’s also very friendly and asked lots of questions before the massage started so that he could personalize the massage to my needs.

I purchased the Unilocal deal for my boyfriend who has shoulder pains often. He enjoyed the massage a lot and even fell asleep during the massage. His shoulder problem does get better after the massage. I’m purchasing 3 more as gifts for him. Btw, I was able to use the wifi there when I waited for my boyfriend. Chris is a very nice and friendly guy!

Chris is amazing! I went to see him for the first time about a week ago, and I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. I went into his office just looking for a way to de-​stress, having found his $ 40 for $ 80 deal on Unilocal.Little did I know I would walk away feeling like a new woman! It hadn’t even crossed my mind that I would leave his office with aches and pains I’ve had for years greatly diminished.
Chris spent an hour and a half on me, even though I had only purchased a 60 minute time slot. He even gave me some stretches and exercises to help with my back pain, which has been present for the past five years or so. I’ve been in and out of physical therapy for this pain since it’s inception, and have only ever left feeling frustrated with the lack of results that I have seen. 90 minutes with Chris left me feeling better than months of physical therapy ever did. I am impressed to say the least.
If you’re looking for a massage therapist in the Valley, go see Chris. Heck, even if you’re just passing through town for the weekend, go see Chris. He was by far the best massage therapist I have ever seen, and I could not be more pleased with his service. He went above and beyond anything I could have expected. He definitely had a repeat customer to add to his list!
Oh, and did I mention that his office is stunning? It’s in a beautiful old church, the inside of which is just lovely. His office is spacious yet cozy, and I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in.

Incredible massage. Chris was really great and helped me tremendously with my knee problems, tight hamstrings and IT bands, all in the first visit! I have only been once but I can’t wait to go back. If your curious enough ask him about cupping… it’s awesome.

My first time getting a massage — and I’m so glad I did! Chris was really dedicated and worked on me for an hour and a half for an hour’s pay. He really tries to talk with you and give you a customized, individualized massage. He has a really calming demeanor. Very worth it!

I went to Chris for a prenatal massage at 29 weeks pregnant. He is extremely professional and has a very calming personality. The massage itself was amazing — I truly have not felt that relaxed and at ease in the 7 months I’ve been pregnant. I had no idea how much I needed this for myself. Chris Rasmussen is a terrific massage therapist who just moved to Amherst and is building his practice here after having worked in Waltham for many years. He does deep tissue, Thai, and hot stone massage, and he’s very knowledgeable about sports-​related problems. Chris is friendly, down-​to-​earth, very professional – I give him my highest recommendation!

Chris is a gifted masseuse who really knows how to work the body so you experience the best of all worlds: relaxation, deep muscle therapy and healing. I like a deep, sports massage but always thought that grimmacing through hard massages meant I was getting good therapeutic value. Not true! Chris helps you mend your muscles and loosen tightness and it feels great while he’s doing it! I opted for a Thai massage and think he’s really a master. This is my first Unilocal review because I was so motivated to spread the word about this great new resource in our area. Definitely check out Chris.
