Decent. Cold rolls and Luke warm soup. Service was not great but not terrible. Probably would not return to this location unless it was busy to ensure hot food. Salads and pizza were still good though. Just soup and rolls were not.

I honestly don’t know where some of these other reviewers dined! Every thing about our experience has been wonderful, and I know food, especially Italian. First off, our server and the service has been wonderful. The pizza was as good as any I had in Italy. The artichoke dip was very flavorful and garlicky and served with hot Parmesan bread strips. The salad was a nice collection of greens and vegetables, very well dressed. The homemade rolls and olive oil dipping sauce was remarkable.

Pizza was cold by the time it arrived at our table, but the manager made up for it with a free desert and even offered to make us another pizza. These things happen and they did their best to put it right. Aside from that the pizza was tasty and the surroundings released. Would definitely go there again if in the area.

Honestly, the service I’ve gotten here has always been nice. The turn over is quick, but they seem to always be pleasant. Perhaps I’ve just gotten lucky. This is the place I’ll bring the kid(s) when we’re up in the area and craving pasta/pizza. It’s decent. Sit down. Has a parking lot and is not at all challenging for kids. The food is «ok.» Nothing to write home about. They are good with kids, tho. In particular, the last time I visited I had my youngest in tow. We had just walked some parts of the Quabbin and we were both hungry. We got the free bread, and some drinks. The waitress was attentive, and nice. He ordered a spaghetti and meatball kids meal. Pretty much everything about the meal was good, but his meatball looked old and dark. My kid has a thing for honesty, so when the waitress asked how the meal was, he said that he had«Had better meatballs before.» She told someone who then visited the table, and that’s when the kid went into talk mode.(He told her his plans for the future and how he loves art, and that he helps cook sometimes and … You get the picture. He is not a shy 8 year old.) The woman who came to talk about the overcooked meatball was just terribly touched and amused, and couldn’t hide it. She brought him cookies that she had baked that morning. We were also offered a slice of 5 layer chocolate cake to share. The woman asked the my son ask for her whenever we visit the restaurant again. It wasn’t busy. They did a good job keeping up with the floors and tables. I wouldn’t call it spotless, but they do a good job keeping it clean. We will return.

I highly recommend this place if you want to eat delicious Italian food inside a really nice looking restaurant(spacious and comfortable) with beautiful photographs all over the walls. But I do not recommend this place if you’re looking to loose weight. The food is so good that you just want to eat more and more, and it’s very fattening food.

Very stylish décor and open layout so you don’t feel cramped when seated. Once inside the restaurant you can’t help but see the humongous brick ovens, two of them quite impressive and you can smell the Smokey wood they use. Great first impression. We were in a hurry and we had a a server and waters within one minute. The staff was friendly and efficient .our kids had cold dough to play with and make cool little pretend pizzas, they loved it. My sangria was well flavored. My wife asked for the house wine it was $ 10 glass so make sure you specify house and ask the price because her wine was not house. tastes too good. The hot rolls they serve are ridiculous crunchy outside and steaming hot inside, you get a spicy sweet olive oil and spice to dip it in.. About 5 – 7 minutes after our sangria arrived we had our pizza a Verde, a white topped with fresh mozzarella crispy prosciutto, and arugula and drizzled with oil and a sweet balsamic glaze. The pizza was crispy, thin and extreme extremely flavorful. My daughter and I had multiple slices. Overall I’d highly recommend this restaurant .we were in a hurry and had a meal and a drink all within 35 minutes.

After spending a date night here this past Saturday night we left this restaurant feeling indifferent about our experience. Below I listed a quick outline of our pros and cons; Cons: 1. When we arrived the place was busy but not packed. It still took us at least 5 minutes to get a seat even though booths were available. 2. It took a while to order our food and we watched our appetizer makes its way to a wrong table, back to the kitchen, then to our table. Some of the items were then cold. 3. Once we placed our order we waited for a while to find that our meal had been made incorrectly. Luckily it was caught and adjusted before it made it to the table. Pros: 1. The waitstaff here was very polite and when our order was botched the manager came out, apologized, and gave us some free food to go. 2. Our main entrées were delicious and I have to say that my pizza was incredible. 3. The dinner rolls were great and all else aside we enjoyed the meal. Overall, there could have definitely been some improvements but we wouldn’t count this place out. Accidents happen and it’s how the team responds. The team here was great and we loved our date night.

March 2015, new management, listen up, the restaurant has gone from not so bad to really really awful. Just had a terrible experience of placing an order(nearly $ 400 worth of food!) for a dinner to be delivered to campus nearby(less than a mile away). Not only did I call to place the order more than a week before the date, but I subsequently called 3 more times to add or change items and the delivery time and yet, come the day you failed to show up at our appointed time of 6 pm. When we called, hey, big surprise, you claimed not to have our order in your computer although I hear you did actually find a paper copy. You did eventually arrive more than an hour late and while you did comp the entire meal(I feel bad for the tip that would’ve gone to the driver) you failed to restore my faith in your service. Yes, the rolls are still good(anyone else think they’re smaller now?) and the food, well, it’s okay, not spectacular or even memorable, but how embarrassing for you to screw this up. We’ve eaten at Bertucci’s for years and the previous management did okay, you, on the other hand, have just lost me as a customer and while you may not care about little ol’ me, I have a big mouth and I talk. Alot. So just be warned that your service needs to improve dramatically for those of us who are in the know to even consider using you again. I wish I felt otherwise but you did this to yourselves. I do appreciate the general manager allowing me to vent, but that did nothing to restore my own reputation for getting things done and done right. Huge fail, I hope you learn from this lesson. P. S. The delivery person also arrived with NO plates or utensils! P. P. S. Your spaghetti could use some more sauce, it was about 80% pasta and 20% sauce.

I can’t even stand behind the one star on this. I was visiting the area and we stopped in for a quick bite to eat and it was not only DISGUSTING but the service was horrendous! We waited forever to even get waters or bread to our table. When our waiter finally arrived to us he had such an unnecessary. He was so irritated when we decided to order sodas or asked for a second round of bread. Then when the food finally arrived half of it was cold. Not to mention the open kitchen where I saw staff coughing with uncovered mouths near food waiting to be served. Add to it the 7 tables that were left dirty while there were 15 visible employees on the floor, I can say I will not be returning here on my next trip.

I came by myself to support a fundraiser. Was told I couldn’t sit in the back because there was no server, but clearly saw multiple people sitting in the area, being served by a waitress. Ok, whatever. Sat down, and order my dinner 20 minutes later, when the waitress in my area finally made first contact. Got my food later, and my drink sat dry for a long time. Bad form to leave your customers with no drink for 10 minutes. From walking in to walking out, it look them about an hour and 5 minutes to give 1 customer 2 appetizers. This is pathetic. The food being ok and the fact that they helped a fundraiser saves it from a 1 star fate.

Can I please get the option for –4 stars? This was literally the WORST dining experience I had ever encountered. Went here with the bf one night and have never entered another Bertuccis since. Sat down and had to wait close to half an hour for the waiter to even come over to our table. We were noticing other tables around us who were complaining about their lack of service as well. In about an hour, we finally got our water. In another 27 minutes, we ordered. My chicken piccata came out DRENCHED in lemon sauce, I thought my tongue was going to shrivel up and the chicken was over cooked. Boyfriend got chicken parm that came out rubbery and not to mention black because it was burnt. Neither of us finished our meals. The service was so horrendous that a family who had sat down after us decided to take their food to go when it finally came out because they had been there for so long.

Bad experience! My dad wanted a salad salad for his appetizer and soup for the main course. Well that didn’t happen he got! his salad and the soup came at the same. It took a half an hour to get. Next my daughter and ex-wife got the same thing and my daughter got a bigger portion then my ex-wife did. The pasta was undercooked also. So I won’t go back there anymore.

Terrible service. The order was wrong and my mother had to skip eating her dinner while the rest of us ate ours. The food was not that good and certainly over priced. I cannot recommend this place and would not go back.

This place use to be good but those days are gone. Most recently we had the pizza. It just wasn’t any good. We left most of it so it was obvious we weren’t happy. The manager took it off our bill and was very kind, but I just don’t think I can handle going back.

The waitress was okay, she didn’t really check up on us as frequent as she should have. The Bertucci’s Moscato sangria is great: get a half pitcher or pitcher rather than an individual glass if you’re dining with 2+ people.

Great experience — our child has a food allergy and our server and the manager went out of their way to assure that the order would be free of any allergens — the personal attention of the manager was outstanding and beyond our expectations. Of course everyone’s meal was served hot and delicious — highly recommend this restaurant for a casual family dinner out.

OK, I have to update my review on this one. Lately we have been sitting at the bar only. It is much more pleasant. You get wicked awesome service and its a bit faster too. So, as I said in my first review: favorites here are: Anipasto Misto, Mozzarella Fritta, and sangria.

Tried this place out for the first time because it seemed to be namedropped often and we wanted to try somewhere we’d never been before. When I suggested it to my husband, he said, «You mean that place that’s only good for pizza?» Walked in and the hostess had her back to us and was talking to another hostess. When she finally turned around, SHE waited for US to say something. No smile, no hello. After a few seconds of me staring at her with raised eyebrows, she finally asked, «Hi, table for 2?» 20 minute wait. We noticed she kept her back to the front door often and took her time turning around to «greet» new customers. Our server was really great, though it seemed like this was his first serving job. When I asked for a saucer of balsamic vinegar(to dip my bread in), he brought me out a little dish of balsamic vinegrette salad dressing(there was no salad on the table, yet). I love vinegar, even in dressing form, so I didn’t care too much. The caesar salad was nothing special. The Three Cheese Focaccia smelled strongly like vomit. I got the Eggplant Parma, which I’ve never had anywhere before, and while I love eggplant, I had to really work to get half the dish down. I can’t say it was BAD, but I really can’t say it was good. I boxed the other half and have not had any desire to heat it up. My husband got the lasagna, and I do like lasagna, but after tasting my entrée and looking at his, I didn’t even want to try his. Husband paid the bill, and after checking the bank account a few days later, I found out our subpar meal cost almost $ 50. I told my husband we shouldn’t go back. BUT, I have heard positive reviews from others about their pizza.

I’ve been to the Bertucci’s in Amherst a handful of times, mostly because everyone else I know seems to like it. But as you might guess from my 2 star rating, I don’t. The one positive thing I have to say about this place is that the waitstaff in my experience have always been talkative and friendly. As to everything else, well… The last time I went here was about a year ago. I ordered the four cheese ravioli and it was a complete disappointment. The tomato sauce was watery and lacking in flavor, so there really was no saving it despite how good it sounded to me on the menu. The bread and salad served before the meal were incredibly average as well. In all honesty, I don’t really know why anyone would go here to eat when there are wonderful restaurants like Judie’s just up the street.
