One of my favorite go-to restaurants in buffalo! The staff is so friendly and nice, some of the best service I’ve ever had. You’re greeted with a warm welcome when you walk through the door. The atmosphere of Siena is amazing. The seating area is small but not too crowded to the point where you’re on top of other people. It still has a romantic and intimate feel. For an appetizer I highly recommend the antipasti plate which has different kinds of cheeses, meats and olives along with some bread. And the carciofi which is artichoke hearts with breadcrumbs, olive oil and lemon. Both are phenomenal. For dinner my go to entrée is the organic chicken saltimbocca which is a bone in chicken breast stuffed with spinach and fontina cheese wrapped in prosciutto served with roasted potatoes. Ive never had a bad meal or bad service here, can’t rave enough about this place!

Probably my favorite restaurant! Right in my local neighborhood and the food is always excellent and consistent. Love the cheese and olives on the table and a great variety from scallops to pizzas! The drinks are excellent and the«only» thing is they don’t take reservations for small parties so it can be a wait … But it’s worth it!

Enjoying a Marabella pizza, made with a GF crust, pears, arulgua, prosciutto, and brie. Washed down with a lovely glass of Brancott. Great background music, good service and overall pleasant vibe for the business traveler dining solo.

Went the night before Valentine’s day. Place was busyluckily we got there right before the rush. Service was phenomenal. The important stuff… The food. YES! Delicious and flavorful. The filet mignon pizza was awesome! Was not expecting much steak for a $ 19 gourmet pizza. I was wrong. Lots of meat. Appetizers were pricey… but expected for this type of restaurant but also very good… Can’t wait to go back.

Disappointed in their willingness to «make it right» Everything was great until the server dumped an entire glass of water in my lap. I had to eat my meal absolutely soaked. While the server apologized, he made no effort to compensate me in any way. I asked if he would be willing to comp a drink and he said«no». That was very disappointing and considering this was a business dinner I will not be taking colleagues there again.

We went to Siena around 5 o’clock on a Tuesday night to have dinner. There is a fairly nice size lot to park in but it is difficult if you don’t back in to get out. Don’t make my mistake. Nice high-class vibe when you walk in. We came from work so we were just up. Seems like it’s dressy casual atmosphere. Our waitress brought us a regular menu snd their specials menu. She went through every special and you could tell she knew what she was talking about. The restaurant serves speciality olives and pieces of Parmigiano-Reggiano to start. They come around with a basket of a variety of breads to choose from and put oil and balsamic vinegar on the table. Very classy. And smart on their part. They have the wheel of parm and olives and bread out when you walk in so your mouth instantly starts watering. They have their prosciutto out as well on the slicer. Try the roasted garlic bread. We decided to order off the specials menu. We started with the arancini. It was made with risotto and sweet peas with mozzarella and roasted tomatoes. Two came with the order and were laid over sweet pea purée and a lemon aioli. They are light and delicious. I’m craving them again. I ordered the Pork ribeye for my meal. It came with a thick cut piece of pork seared and delicious over asparagus and roasted parsnip purée. The pork had gorgonzola and fig jam on it. I craved more gorgonzola. But it was so good. The pork was moist and seasoned well. I think a nice steak would’ve went well with the sides as well. My accompaniment ordered the veal cutlets over rigatoni with ala vodka sauce. He loved it. Our waitress was so great. She really helped us choose what to order and I was very happy with the choices. Our bill came to $ 100. I think it was a little high for what it was. The pasta dish was $ 34. I just find it so hard to pay for expensive Italian because I know how much it truly costs. The ribeye was worth the price it was though. The quality of the food was fabulous. The staff was fantastic. I will definitely be returning.

A few of us dined at Siena’s, we ordered a bunch of items and shared. The chopped salad on the specials menu… I could literally eat this salad every day. It was full of granola and dried cranberries. If this review were based on the salad alone, five stars! We also ordered the steak tartar and the grilled asparagus and speck. Both were very good but wouldn’t knock your socks off. We decided, instead of entrees, to order a couple of the wood oven pizzas and hopefully still have room for dessert. We chose the Vincenzo and the Bistecca. The pizzas were good. That’s it, good. I really feel that you can go to D’Avoilio or even Pi Craft and enjoy pizzas just as good if not better. Since we were able to save room, we ordered the peanut butter chocolate dessert. It was good. Again, nothing special or would make any of us rush back for. Food overall, just okay.

Siena food some was amazing and some were average. For appetizers we got grilled asparagus and speck was extremely delicious and steak tartare which was really good too. They had a special on a walnut apple salad which was out of this world. For the main course we had 2 pizza, we had Vincenzo pizza and the Bistecca pizza they were average pizza. We were more amazed with the Salad and appetizers then the pizza. Our waitress was friendly and assertive. We were very pleased with the restaurant.

We dine at Sienna often but this past visit was probably one our best visits to date. My family decided to celebrate Christmas Eve out with dinner following mass. We had 7:30 reservations for eight people. We were greeted very promptly and the restaurant was full and had a vibrant energy. We had a bit of a wait to be seated and therefore ordered cocktails at the bar. The bar is cozy and tucked to the right and in no way disturbs guests who are dining. It’s a perfect balance. Our table was ideal… plenty of room and not at all over crowded. As always the food was perfection! Our Greg Norman wine was a great choice. I had an outstanding gluten free pasta with vodka sauce. Our server was wonderful and made this holiday meal a terrific experience!

I came to Siena the other night with a girlfriend for dinner. We decided to split all of the food that we ordered. We started with a pear, walnut, cranberry and gorgonzola salad with a maple vinaigrette on top. It was delicious! We then split the bistecca pizza which had filet mignon, stuffed banana peppers, and crispy onions on top. The pizza was very flavorful however had few pieces of filet on it. I wish there was a little more, but other than that I really enjoyed the pizza. For our main entrée, we split the penne telefono. This had penne pasta, house made mozzarella cheese, breaded eggplant, tomatoes, and basil. The first thing we noticed was how fresh the pasta tasted. However, the pasta was a little too al dente. I prefer my pasta being al dente but this was to the point where it was almost undercooked. This didn’t change the fact that the flavors of the pasta were so flavorful and melded together perfectly. The atmosphere inside of the restaurant was on the sophisticated side with dim lighting. It was a lot smaller than I had imaged, as the bar area takes up like half of the restaurant. The parking lot on the smaller side as well and I can definitely see how it could be a pain to find parking, but luckily we found a spot right away. Our waiter was attentive, however a little pushy in asking if we wanted another glass of wine or dessert. But I guess he was just doing his job. I thought the prices were reasonable. We split the bill evenly and paid around $ 35 each for all of the food plus a glass of wine each. Overall it was a very good experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the food! I can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu!

I can’t believe how great this place is. It was packed and parking was a little hard to find but once I got inside, all I can say is amazing. They were very attentive and couldn’t ask for a better place. All the bread is hand made and they give you an assortment.

Great lunch spot! I went here for a holiday lunch with my coworkers and had a great experience. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, drinks were good, and the half pizza and salad special was a hit. We did make a reservation and were glad we did, as the place completely filled up by 12:30! I took off a star due to some of the high prices, but the lunch half pizza and salad special is definitely worth it. Looking forward to going back.

The Italian salad, bread, and swordfish Milanese were great! Pricey but great food and service. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it’s too expensive for what you get.

Rather pretentious. I liked the service from the runner. Found the server to be rather patronizing. Noticed the regulars received little extras we weren’t offered. They could be a bit more generous at those prices. I loved the bread cheese and olive service, and my pineapple cosmo.

I’ve been back a few times, always for lunch. This place has a great atmosphere and a well rounded lunch menu. If you make a reservation, and even for lunch its a good idea, around 12 you can get one of the tables by the window. I suggest that. Inside can be a little darker. The lunch menu has salads, sandwiches, a few«entrees» and pizzas. I still have not had a pizza, but every time I plan to. Then I find something else on the menu that I choose instead. But the pizzas I see there look terrific. I’ve had the Mediterranean Salad, without shrimp, and liked it. Chopped salad, very nice for lunch. I’ve had the pasta and steak dish which is very good if you plan on a light dinner. It’s a generous portion. I asked for my fillet rare and it was more on the medium side, one reason for 4 and not 5 stars. I’ve had the eggplant stack which is not enough for lunch, it’s perfect to share with someone else and get another dish each for lunch. The chicken sandwich is very simple, but grilled it can hit the spot for sure. Our servers have been hit or miss. Sometimes they are friendly and terrific and timely. Other times they have not smiled, not given their name, and kept our food waiting in the window, which you can see from the dining room. The other reason for 4 and not 5 stars. The dining room inside is nice. Spacious. Well placed tables. Outside is great in nice weather. Good chairs. Good tables. All in all I like their furniture and layout of the space. I hope to get to 5 stars, but I’d like a smile with service and a rare fillet when requested. But I would never turn down a chance for lunch here. Ever. (Parking has not changed, good if you are early, more difficult around 1pm.)

Finally a night out without a child! We decided to give Sienna a try because we haven’t been here since before Unilocal days. What a great night. Great atmosphere everyone working this place like a well oiled machine. These peeps bust their tails to give a packed house a night to remember. We sat and enjoyed the fresh ciabatta bread with thee most aromatic & fresh olives we have not had since visiting Florence, Italy! We chose the eggplant stack & the artichoke apps and they were sure to please. Perfect enough to share. My husband picked the flat iron steak entrée. Done to a tee! A generous portion that even he could not finish, but will enjoy tomorrow. I chose the Filet with Pasta, peppers, & Gorgonzola cheese. Again, win –win situation. Delicious. Great portion size and I alas succumb to being so full that if I was wearing trousers they would have split. I’d go back in a heartbeat for lunch or dinner and I would recommend this place to all. Nikki was our server and she was spectacular. Our hostess was no slacked, she pitched in everywhere she could. Thank you to all for the great service!

I want to give this restaurant 3.5 stars. The ambience and service are tasteful, but the menu, from wine to entrees, is truly overpriced. I’d like to go back and order their more tried and true items, because I’ve heard raves about the pizza and chicken dishes. However on this occasion we ordered shoulder steak and skirt steak. Both were tough — these cuts need serious marination. They don’t appear on many Buffalo menus so I’m guessing the chefs are unfamiliar with the method. Because I’ve had the same cuts of meat from a food truck that were juicier and more tender(and a whole lot cheaper). The salads were ok. I got a fresh pea and asparagus combo, which would have been a lot better with lemon olive oil and mint instead of balsamic vinegar. The Caesar was good. The dessert, key lime tart, was disappointing. If the crust on a pie or tart isn’t firm and flaky, the dessert is a bomb.

If you are looking for a classy and upscale establishment and you don’t mind spending a few extra bucks then Siena is the place for you. I came here on a Friday night with some of my girlfriends for drinks and appetizers. I noticed that it was very busy but enjoyable. The crowd was made up of adults ranging from 20’s to 60’s. It looked like many people were having a date night. I had a glass of wine and we shared some appetizers. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers and the vella pizza. I will describe both in detail in hopes of making your mouth water… Stuffed banana peppers: By far the richest and creamiest I have ever tasted. These spicy peppers still had the seeds and were stuffed with a blend of what seemed like Gorgonzola, mozzarella, and possibly cream cheese. They were baked in olive oil and garlic had a delectable aroma when they arrived. They were cooked to perfection. Each bite was a taste of hot Heaven. I love spicy food and these peppers did not disappoint. I know that each batch of peppers may be more mild depending on the pepper. Either way, it was the most amazing stuffed banana pepper I have ever had… and I have had a lot. Vella pizza: Cooked on a brick oven. It was made up of chicken, seasoned ricotta, spinach, tomato, and balsamic. It was about $ 17 and was sliced into 8 average sized pieces. It was the perfect size for 3 of us. The ricotta was very creamy and the flavors just blended so well. The crust was crispy and flavorful. I would order this again. I might even call and order this as take out if it is an option! The atmosphere was very nice. The bar was under lit to add to the romantic feel. I noticed that a lot of people had specialty martinis and they had an extensive wine list. It was very dimly lit in the bar area. The bartenders were nice and the bar was fully stocked with many options. I would definitely come here on a date or with the family for a swanky night out. Also, they are owned by the same owners as 800 Maple. Here are my ratings(1 – 5, 5 being the highest) Parking: 4 Cleanliness: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Price:4

There really wasn’t anything to complain about. The servers brought a snack of crackers with spices and some bread with oil and baslamic vinegar. There were bits of cheese on the plate with olives. For an appetizer I had the Fried Calamari 3 Ways. The sweet chili garlic sauce of the 3 was my favorite. The marinara sauce, good, and then the Lemon basil aioli came in 2nd. Nothing too much to talk about for the calamari besides the sauce. My entrée was the Pappardelle Ala Pomodoro, wide noodles with tomatoes, basil, onions, garlic slices, flavored with an anise liquer. The first couple of bites had too much salt, it must have been the final touch along with the basil leaves. After digging into the dish and mixing up the noodles the flavors began to meld together more with the salt and then the dish was absolutely great. The chunks of tomatoes and fresh mozzerella make up for the dish being a vegetarian one. The busser and waitress were both really great at attending to the table. The dish worked well as a leftover, I added a ton of spinach though for more greens in the dish. Still amazing. The tables were nice with the fake flickering candles so I can’t catch anything on fire(by accident ofcourse). I really want to go back and try some of the amazing looking desserts. Great place for a date or for the fam. Everyone was very friendly.
