Taylor Davis Landscape Co-TLC

UNRELIABLE. We used them for spring clean up at our place in South Hadley in 2014 and they did a good job, so we hired them again this spring. I submitted my spring clean up worksheet by email on March 25 (the same worksheet I used last year), and the office manager confirmed that she’d received it.
I emailed the office manager on April 24 to ask when spring clean ups might start and received a reply on April 28 saying, «I think we are starting residential clean ups next week. I am not sure exactly when they will be in S. Hadley.» On May 27, I asked for an update again and receive a reply the same day that said, «I just checked with Doug. We will be doing your clean up next week. Sherry will give you a call the day before to let you know when we are coming.» I did not receive a call from anyone, and Taylor Davis never showed up.
At this point, by husband and I just started doing the work ourselves because it was so late in the season, but we have a huge area of rose rugosa that we wanted pruned. Since it’s hard for us to transport that much prickly waste, my husband called Taylor Davis on the week of June 1^st and was told they would be coming that week. By June 19^th, they still hadn’t come so I emailed to officially cancel our service request, which is kind of laughable because it’s so obvious they were never going to come (and even worse — they were never going to contact me and tell me that).

This company did a hit and run on my son’s car while plowing out a local business, and refuse to take responsibility. They hang up on us when we try to discuss it and then screen out future phone calls. Don’t hire them if you value your property!

Overall satisfied with my repaved and expanded driveway, but the finished project was not completely like the plans. They were responsive and partly fixed it, acknowledging it was not like the diagram given with the estimate. When I pointed out that their fix still didn’t meet what they said they would do, I was told I had to live with it. The overall work is good, but it’s dissatisfying not to get what you expected when you pay thousands of dollars.

Taylor Davis paved my driveway in May 2013. Excellent work, fair price, no surprises. It has been 39 days since the driveway was paved. I told Taylor Davis that I was going to wait for a month before reporting to Unilocal.The driveway is in top shape, there is no deterioration, no cracks, no indication of poor work. The Taylor Davis estimator gave me a description of the work to be performed, estimated the cost, gave another estimate in case the driveway base needed work. The work crew and equipment showed up as scheduled and finished the job on time. The base was fine. The original, lower cost was okay. Not a dollar more. I have a two-​car driveway that has plenty of space to fit four parked cars or trucks. The original paved driveway had been installed in 1960.
