Ordered the chix pad thai to go with a side of egg rolls. I liked the dish very much regardless of the negative reviews. The egg rolls were a bit too expensive for how small the portions were.

I really enjoyed the food here! It does seem really authentic and you can make your order extra spicy. The store is really small though so I would advise you to come earlier or do takeaway. The fried rice I ordered(Kao Prad Gra Prow) was really fragrant and delicious. but could do with a little more meat. My friend’s Pad Tai Krai tasted good so I ordered a serving to take away too. Would definitely return to try more items on the menu.

I’ve always had good experiences here, and I’ve had good Thai food in Seattle and the Bay Area. One pattern I notice here is that people giving bad reviews ordered Pad Thai. Everyone makes Pad Thai, even if it’s not their signature dish, so I haven’t ordered Pad Thai in ages. Maybe they should make better Pad Thai… but as a friendly advice, you shouldn’t always be getting Pad Thai. Y’all are missing out on interesting stuff. One dish I like here is Kao Soy, which I think is a northern Thai dish, a curry noodle soup. It’s flavorful, and something a bit different.

Stick to the pad thai and stay away from the«curry» dishes. I was expecting a nice, thick curry sauce full of aromatic flavor like you’d find at an Indian restaurant and got served large chunks of vegetables sitting in white watery liquid that tasted like laundry detergent or swimming pool– I couldn’t quite put my finger on which chemical it reminded me of!.. The 3 spring rolls for $ 3.75 were a complete JOKE! They were the size of cigarette and I’m positive I could buy the same exact thing in the frozen food section of a gas station because that’s where I’m pretty sure you would find them! Is it too much to ask for fresh veggies in a rice wrapper?!? The service was mediocre at best, you could tell the girl attending to us wanted no part of working on a Friday night. I don’t even think she made an attempt to smile once the whole time. The«dingy» factor was pretty elevated! You could tell the servers were using a booth near the kitchen to sit at because it was full of junk, coats, newspapers. I know from working in food service for decades that’s a No No– but especially when a place only has about 6 or 7 tables to begin with, it makes it very obvious! So my tip is– stick with the pad thai, because at least that was good. And get it to go– because the atmosphere was non existent! There was no music playing, the waitresses stood in the little kitchen area looking at us. It was AWKWARD!!!

I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Spring rolls. The Pad Thai was horrible; it was over cooked noodles with almost no flavor and dried out chicken, that’s it. There were no greens or tofu and almost no sauce, the dish was clear in color. The spring rolls were small and thawed out, and then fried. They were almost all dough and no vegetables. There are so many great ways to make Pad Thai getting low quality bad tasting dishing when eating out is no fun. I will not go back and I do not recommend wasting your money there.

I had high expectations coming into this restaurants due to taking a coworkers advice but was quickly disappoint. The pad thai tasted like plain noodles with peppers thrown on it. Décor was also mediocre

I didn’t even have a high expectation when I stopped by, and I was deeply disappointed. Service: Slow. We waited for a while to get our water, the menu, another long while until the order was taken, and another loooong while until food was served(relative to the number of customers). Okay, maybe the place is small, they don’t have many people. Food: I had rice with some main entrée and I must say, it’s just… mediocre. Stir-fried veggies could have been done with much less oil — I had a gas attack after that. Portion was small. The price was on par with other Thai places I’ve been to, I must say. Place: So-so. Not the cleanest, nicest-looking place you can hope for. For this price and this food quality? Don’t think I’ll come back.

Place blows. The food is horrible. They give you an amount a mice might eat. The service is horrible as well. Not worth a second look ever!

Cute little place, relatively affordable. Good food(I love Thai), but sometimes slow service. They do deliver but aren’t open b/w 3 and 5 awkwardly.

Five years ago I used to go to this restaurant once a week to get their pad thai while I was at UMass. I recently went back with my husband and was so excited to bring him there to try my favorite Pad thai place… Sadly the food is nothing like it used to be. It used to be amazing now just mediocre. Very disappointed.

Not really worth my time. My shrimp pad thai was SUPER oily. I was slammed with a gasoline-y aftertaste. I squeezed the LIFE out of the lowly lime slice garnishing my pad thai and it didn’t help that much. And only had three pieces of shrimp in it! I’ve had larger portions that were much better for cheaper. I’ll say that the service was good for the few minutes I was there. I ordered take out. The hostess said it’d be ready in ten minutes, and I was out in less than that. Though, there were only three people there while I was waiting, so results are possibly abnormal.

Food is delicious and very authentic. Owners are super nice. Food is well priced for the portions! Tom Yum soup is the best I’ve had.

I was going to give this a 2.5 but since that isnt an option 2 stars it is. This was my first trip to the place and it was kinda empty when me and my friend arrived. The place looked clean and the waiter greated us right when we arrived and told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. He gave us our menu but was slow to ask us what we wanted and did not even ask us what we wanted to drink. I looked at the menu and all the prices seem to be pretty decent around $ 9-$ 11 for an entrée. My friend ordered the thai iced tea and it came with more ice than tea, the ice was overflowing above the liquid. Not only that my friend asked for a take out cup for her tea and it came with a plastic cup without a cover, so not really take out in the sense. On to the entrée, I ordered the Guay Tiew Kua, which is wide flat noodles with chicken, egg over lettuce with a side of spicy garlic sauce. When my plate came I was surprised that the sauce took over, 1⁄3 if not more than my plate. The dish was good, it had a good wok flavor which a lot of restaurants lack in and the sauce was great but needs to be mixed better. The sauce was spicy but spicy in a good way. But it was way too much sauce for that amount of food, I am sure everyone would be fine if they gave only 1⁄3 of the amount they gave in sauce. My friend ordered Pad Thai Rai Sen which is a pad thai minus the noodles and replaced with white rice. She basically thought that it was bland and nothing special the veggies and chicken was doused in peanut sauce and that was it. The service was all right, waiter was friendly but not very attentive at times,(ie. did not ask us what we wanted to drink, did not refill my water when it was running really low) but was much more friendlier to the other customers for some reason. We were the neglected table, maybe it had to do with us being the only college students in the restaurant, the restaurant had either older couples or young couples who had children. Hopefully the delivery is more in terms of portion size because if my portion was bigger I would have given it another star.

I eat a lot of Thai and I always order the Tom Kha Gai soup. This was the worst version I have ever eaten — it was just warm coconut milk/broth with thrown in veggies they also use in their stir fry dishes. No flavor at all. The curry we ordered was mediocre at best. I will not be going back.

Pretty reasonably priced place, but not amazing food. The dishes we had were super-lacking in proteins; a shrimp app came with mucho lettuce but very little shrimp; a soup was pretty light on chicken. The best thing we had was a chicken curry bun – it looked to be made elsewhere. The worst part? The cook delivering our food with a Thai Cuisine Cookbook under her arm. Pretty disconcerting to see someone bring you Thai food when they’re reliant on a cookbook, and you’re paying for the food. The place is small and cute. Parking is the usual sort of difficult Amherst deal. Staff were pretty friendly, with the caveat that our waitress sat two tables behind us(there are like 6 tables in the whole place) and ate. Kind of throws the server-customer dynamic out of whack.

Yikes. Someone needs to explain to these people how fried rice is supposed to be made. Here’s a hint: Add oil. If I wanted white rice heated up with meat and veggies(with no flavor added)… well I wouldn’t want that. I asked for some soy sauce since there was no taste and they gave me something in a soy sauce bottle but it was not soy sauce. Tasted more like fish sauce. WHY? I’m giving them an extra star since they used white meat chicken(which I don’t usually like — give me dark!) but it was very tender. Then again, maybe it was just the best part of a very bad rice dish.

This place is kind of a hole in the wall. It’s not too bad, but it’s not exactly good. The inside needs to be remodeled. The food is ok. My friend actually likes this place a lot, but I wasn’t a huge fan.

Thai Corner is a different style of Thai food than most Americans are used to and that’s why it sometimes gets negative reviews. The food here is homestyle and more like stuff that comes out of my grandma’s kitchen; not the same style that you would find at Siam Garden even though they are both«Thai». It’s just yummy, homestyle basic food that most real Thai people eat at home. And Pad Thai is NOT supposed to have peanut sauce! Never!(I say that because people complain about their Pad Thai not having peanut sauce)

Damn, am I really lucky enough to have two bad Thai experiences in my life so far?! I order my usual, Pad Thai and it’s not even Pad Thai. Hell, it ain’t even orangy! They don’t even use the right noodles-it’s flat, but it’s waaay too skinny. There was no peanut sauce-just crushed peanuts lying on top of the noodles! Don’t mess with Pad Thai! I was with my friend and her pops and they were dissatisfied with their food as well-bland or a very singular flavor. What made the food worse was that we were starving and we had been waiting a long time, waaaay too long for these simple dishes that we ordered-I’m talking at least half an hour. And the place wasn’t even that busy-it’s a small place. The prices were quite cheap, but considering the portions and the taste, you ain’t getting no special deal, no ripped off.

Great, yet not too expensive Thai food tucked behind Antonio’s in downtown Amherst. The restaurant is small, so on busy nights, be prepared to wait. Just keep in mind that the food is worth it. The staff is always friendly and very eager to please, from the waitresses right up to the owner, who will come around to make sure everything is excellent.
