This place has great food at great prices. Most recently, I had their Mediterranean falafel salad. I didn’t care for the roasted beet hummus on the salad, it just wasn’t my thing, but overall the salad was delicious. Both my husband and I have never had a bad experience and have always enjoyed the flavor combinations. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Our bill is usually the same as eating out at a chain restaurant. And who wants a chain restaurant when you can get quality food for about the same price?! Their wait staff is great also. They are very friendly and helpful. We had Darci T as our waitress this last time and I had questions on their menu since it was the new summer menu. She didn’t seem upset by my asking questions but seemed happy to talk about the food. She was very polite and did not interrupt us while we were eating or talking. She only came over a few times during our entire time there, and I appreciated that. I do not like to be bothered multiple times during the meal. We are moving soon and I’m sad since that means we will not be able to eat here often enough.

An oasis of good, inventive, and well plated dishes amidst a sea mediocrity. We will come back again and again!

This place was extremely unethical, all about how to get a profit through deceiving the customers. I came here with my friends as my friend’s recommendation. I ordered a chicken pot pie as a lunch entrée, and the server(mid age woman) asked me «would you like to have a salad? Today’s dressing is xxx. It is very delicious …» I said«sure I’ll have a salad». She said«ok, Would you want me to bring before the meal?» I said before the meal is fine. To be caucious, I asked her«does the salad come with the meal right? She said«no, this is separate». I looked at the menu, the salad was another entrée beside the chicken pot pie. The price of the salad was about $ 7.50…(it means that she ordered the salad which was another entrée without telling me that was a separate cost) it was acceptable if the salad was $ 1 – 2 as a lunch set menu coming with the chicken pot pie but she actually tried to device me to order another entrée(=salad), Who is going to do this to the customers? … As a customer, I was so insulted. If I didn’t ask if this salad was an extra cost, I probably ended up paying for another entrée., she wasn’t ethical as a waitress because she didn’t explain to the customer to tell this was the extra cost but instead she asked«would you like to have salad?». Everybody wants to have salad if she asked that way. Also, everybody expects the salad comes with meal of she asked that way. If I were a child, I would probably said yes without doubting her. She should’ve asked like this to be an ethical waitress«Would you like to have salad as another entrée? this will be extra cost» . Also, my friend ordered becon sandwiches and our waitress asked us if we wanted to try the home made ketchup. We said yes, but she never brought it to us, this was because the ketchup was a sample therefore cost was including the inside of sandwiches, this means that she couldn’t charge any cost from us, hence she didn’t bring it. Also, she used the fish pot which serves water… This is actually selling at the berkely before you leave the store, this makes customers to think to purchase the products. All food and proucts that they were using at this restaurant was selling at the berkely or gift store. I felt this is some kind of the scheme… But since buying the products or not was a customer’s choice so I don’t mind this, but I really mind why she tried to make me to purchase the salad without having the explanation of the anther cost. I didn’t say anything to her because this place was friends recommendation but I will never come back this unethical place. The food itself wasn’t bad(but pretty expensive for the area like $ 13– $ 18 for the lunch. I don’t think it is worth it for the area. I hate this services.

It’s times like these that I wish my stomach was bigger. A few friends from Massachusetts drove up to New Hampshire to visit with some friends with a new baby… and it was worth it(because of the baby AND because the food was delicious). I got the traditional pancakes and the homefries and our table came with a small basket of pastries. I also got the Mason-Dixon Manhattan and wooooo… it was strong. So strong I had to take a nap on the way to said friends’ house. It was more like a 5pm cocktail rather than a brunch cocktail(but I really liked it for breakfast — it came with a little bacon garnish so that makes it breakfast food, obviously). The staff was very friendly, kind and attentive. And my friends were very happy with all their vegetarian options. If you finish your meal and take a little meander around their café and your eyes will cry because your stomach is full and the food in the shop looks delightfully delicious.

All of the food is great. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and the service is great. Afterwards, make sure to buy some baked items and premade entrees in the shop. The quiche is excellent and the chocolate cream pie is delicious.

Favorite spot to dine casually in NH. Food is New England comfort food and always delicious. They rotate the menu seasonally and there is always a new dish to look forward to. Sunday brunches are fantastic. Hosting and waiting staff are friendly and accommodating. Desserts are hard to skip. Bakery wins awards each year and you will know why if you try their coconut cake, carrot cake or summer berry pie. And best of all, reasonably priced.

First visit based on friends’ recommendation, happy to say we’ll be back. Food and service were great, my only complaint is lack of ambience(for dinner). It’s clean and well laid out but feels like a breakfast place(wooden tables and chairs, and floors and blinds, no soft furnishings at all). We had seafood crepes, lamb shank, coconut cake and coffee, all very, very good. Anne was a lovely server, and the music was nice too.

The restaurant: Wonderful brunch in a sweet little room. Had the benedict and was very pleased. The Hollandaise was not too thick. Everything was fresh and colorful. Our waitress was ok. She could have come around for coffee more. I love that they bring an assortment of breads from their bakery with jam and butter while you wait. The café: The cakes, pies, and cookies are where this places really shines for sweets. They also have meringues, tarts, scones, brownies, breads and things like that that are very good. Coffee is a great array of 5 different types and self serve which is very generous. They also has cold savories that they can warm up for you that are very delicious. The chicken pot pie and the burrito are great. And the quiche. And the kale salads.

Excellent meal! Varied options for all budgets and appetite. Service moderately paced, not too slow but not too fast, as to rush you.

Consistently good, hearty New England food, albeit price seems to go up every six months. Average lunch for two is now $ 20 – 25. Dining room in dire need of an update. Save yourself on the pricey desserts and pick up one in the bakery. The do offer some gluten-free entrees and baked items that are tasty.

Nice location a little of the beaten path as 101 gets a little rural, yet not too far away. Homey interior. I get they’re going for a country restaurant but for some reason it comes off as an assisted living facility. Food is consistent and serviceable comfort food. The take out bakery is the best part. Delectables are delicious if a little pricey. Some real food to take out like sandwich wraps. Seems like a good idea to stop in for a quick lunch in the take out area, but it’s never quite enough for a real meal. My fault for thinking so, I guess.

Very nice place — everything homemade from scratch, specialty warm and cold ciders. Delicious food, good prices. Restaurant is very clean with a nice modern country décor. Everything in the attached bakery is to die for!

Remarkable breakfast yesterday. Perfect made-to-order vegetable omelet(one piece of each filling used as a garnish —very clever!) and a terrific pear/cranberry«cider». The piece de resistance, however, was a little item in the bakery basket called a «cinnamon butter puff». Looks like a small sugar-coated muffin, very dense. The first bite blew me away. Melt-in-the-mouth. Don’t even know how to describe it. If the President had one, he’d give it a Medal of Freedom. The Kennedy Center would have a ceremony for it. It was that good. By itself it could achieve world peace. The server was also very nice and accommodating. Best Brunch ever!

This place is on my way to work which is both awesome and terrible. The cookies and coffee cake are amazing. They have wraps that are great to take to work for lunch. And they have iced coffees/lattes. As a working mama, that is my fuel. And the staff are always friendly, which makes all the difference.

The summer vegetable tagliatelle here was absolutely divine. Ingredients for the dish were sourced from local providers and you could really taste how fresh everything was. We also had the berry tart and coconut cake. Both were wonderful. The texture of the coconut cake was different than usual cakes. It seemed much denser, in a good way. It was just so coconut-y! Loved it and will definitely be back to try more dishes and desserts!

I went in to purchase a bottle of wine and had to grab a deli counter ticket to get cashed out. Huh? Bottle of wine went back on the rack as there were 5 to 8 clients ahead of me ordering food at their deli counter. I understand the ticket theory if I was purchasing from the deli cases.

Really warm place, went for lunch got the quiche and it was amazing! I did not get a chance to try the bakery but it smelled delicious hopefully next time! On the other side I did not like the service of our waitress, she wasn’t nice, could t see a tag on her so I cant tell you her name.

Their cronuts changed my life. Layers of buttery eggy chewy goodness encased in a crispy golden fried shell smothered in a sweet sugary glaze. Yahtzee! Best pastry that I have ever had. And I have eaten some pastries. And their cookies are a staple NH best.
