Studio 29

Today had a hair cut and highlighting done by Brandy, love my cut and highlight. I was treated well, had coffee and think everyone in there are very pleasant and courteous

Studio 29 is also a hair salon. Need to update categories on this. During the time I lived in Anacortes, WA (2006 — 2011), I went to Studio 29 and Laurie cut my hair. She was the fastest hair cutter and stylist I have ever experienced! I have medium length hair, and she would get me washed, cut, styled, and out of there in ½ hour! (Other places I have been to, take an hour to do all that.) During the times I had color applied, then it was 1.5 hours, but even that is speedy compared to my experiences of it taking 2.5 hours at other places. She was also good at helping me find a good style to fit my face. I usually paid around $ 55 when it was just wash, cut, style, and $ 95 when color was involved. To me, that is pricey, but others may think it’s moderate. But Laurie was good and FAST, I liked her service. They do have a parking lot, but good luck finding a spot, the parking lot is tiny.

You know the old phrase, «You get what you pay for and pay for what you get?» Well for the cheapest place in town ($ 40) I probably should’ve known better.
I have been going to Studio 29 for a few years now just for random services that they have (highlights for hair, tanning, etc.) but this was my first time coming back in a couple of years and my first time getting a hair cut.
Being that I have short hair, once it’s too short, it’s too late to go back. I don’t know how an inverted bob could be construed as a straight bob, but it did and 4 inches later I’m looking like a 10 year old girl getting my hair cut short for the first time. Not to mention, it’s not straight and one side is longer than the other?
My hair dresser tried to rush me out of there without even looking at the back of my hair to see how it looked! And really 15 minutes for a haircut? At least take a couple extra minutes and try to make sure that the sides are straight.
Honestly people if you can spend an extra couple of dollars and go elsewhere especially if you want something in style and trendy. I’m sure this place is great for older people who want perms or eyebrows waxed but as far as hair goes, save yourself the agony and go down the road to Select Styling or Saloon Bella Bella.
